I was referred to Paragon for an urgent roof leak at my townhome. They insisted on photos and took 5 full days of time promising they would send someone out and would get back to me ASAP only to then tell me they were conflicted and to use someone else. It doesnt take 5 days to discover a conflict of interest. Dont use them for urgent matters, because I promise you, no matter how big your company is, they wont consider it urgent. Youll have to harass them for updates and theyll waste a few weeks before even showing up to the property.

I worked with several engineers from Paragon on multiple cases. Their work is of the highest quality and they have, I think, tremendous credibility borne out of their refusal just to say whatever an attorney wants. That is an absolutely paramount quality in an expert, and one that too few possess. The engineers handle the substance while their admin group works efficiently and flawlessly to manage the day-to-day details, so that the whole operation works together as a well-oiled machine. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

They were very difficult to work with. I called and we were sure if we wanted to pay the cost. I got calls every week asking if we had paid the deposit. Finally after weeks of calls we bit the bullet and paid for the entire price. I didn’t get anyone to call me back for a month.We finally got it scheduled and someone came out. He looked and gave me obvious thing such as the large trees. He drew a sketch of our house and took the readings. They told me the readings were close and they would need to do more calculations to see how close. I waited had to beg for them to send me something in writing to give to our insurance. He send me a horribly hand drawn picture of our house with the numbers and says it’s close. That’s all that 600 dollars give me?! Really?Had to hire an actual professional to come out and give me an actual report. What a waste of time and money.

I have known Brian Eubanks and have used Paragon Structural Engineering for more than a decade, and they are the only structural engineering firm that I would use.... including for the houses that I have constructed, foundations that have needed repair, and on my own personal home... twice for upstairs room additions and modifications. Please dont hold his second rate university degree against him! Not everyone can get degrees from the University of Texas.

This firm recommended a repair in a legal case that NO ONE WOULD DO! This firm wanted us to drill 100s of holes in the exterior masonry through the house wrap that was already poorly installed, to secure the stone because the builder Garabedian did not properly support the stone facade on our home. We were lacking brick ties in multiple locations, uppers stories as well that were deemed an imminent life safety hazard by our engineers. The builders expert Lynn Motheral, who testified he would do the repair Paragon put forth, would not even do the repair. We contacted him several times over a period of months and he ghosted us. Then sent us a cease and desist letter. You just cant make this stuff up. We didnt even want to reach out to him but out of desperation, when we realized we had no choice but to use him, we HAD to. NO ONE ELSE would do the repair these engineers testified to. We called any builder in a 100 mile radius, they laughed. Literally, they called and laughed at the amount we had to pay and the repair these engineers suggested. So, we ended up having to remove all the exterior of the entire home like OUR engineers said wed have to don all along. It was triple or quadruple the cost and thanks to this firm mainly out of pocket. They are using our name on their online website under case expert witness testimony, which is searchable online, and we do not approve and request they remove it. Hopefully this review helps others that were in our position.

Paragon is a class act. I have worked with several project managers over the years, and they have all been extremely knowledgeable, and their expertise has saved my clients money in terms of construction cost. Ive worked with other structural engineering firms, but Paragons work product is hands-down the best in the industry. They are the Rolls Royce of structural engineering firms.

We hired Paragon to complete an analysis of a house before it was to be remodeled. They were extremely slow in issuing the final report. They didnt even submit it to us before their own 15 Business day deadline. When we received it, our foundation repair company said it was one of the worst they had ever seen. It gave no recommendations on making changes. We paid $4500 basically for multiple pages of paper that just say we have a bad foundation. Yep, we knew that; thats why we hired you. I regret our decision using Paragon and I hope others will not make this mistake.
