Two months ago, I went to Carrick’s Autos with my wife to find a safe, reliable vehicle for her and my children. We based our decision to buy a vehicle from Carrick’s Autos on the claims they make on their website that they only sell “clean, well maintained autos” and that each vehicle is “inspected by a certified mechanic prior to placing the vehicle on the market.” Last week we took it to a trusted mechanic for its first routine oil change. We also told the mechanic about excessive bounciness and shaking in the steering wheel at speeds above 60 mph that has been present since time of purchase but that we had not noticed during our test drive because we did not drive it on the freeway. We were surprised to learn that our vehicle has several major defects that were not disclosed at time of sale including broken front struts (see pictures) and that the vehicle is unsafe to drive. We were also informed that the steering and transmission fluids are dirty and dark in color despite being told by Mark at time of sale that the fluids were in good condition. When I contacted Carrick’s Autos to express my concerns, Patrick responded that our mechanic was “just trying to take our money” and had us bring our car to their mechanic Cesar who told us the struts were not broken, the fluids were clean, and it was completely safe to drive. Their mechanic was either lying or is incompetent because we subsequently took the vehicle to two additional mechanics who confirmed the findings of the first mechanic (i.e., broken struts, dirty fluids, the vehicle is unsafe).I have made several attempts at working this out with Mark and Patrick at Carricks Autos, but each attempt has been met with insults and belittling. We did not purchase their warranty, but we shouldn’t have needed to depend on a warranty for a newly purchased vehicle that was supposedly “well maintained” and “inspected by a certified mechanic” prior to sell. Mark and Patrick deceitfully sold us a defective and unsafe vehicle and have refused to take accountability. I do not recommend Carrick’s Autos.

Had an absolutely top-notch experience with Carricks Autos. I had been looking for a car for months on the internet and finally found exactly what I was looking for at Carricks. I drove 4 hours to see them and they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and a pleasure to do business with. They made it very easy for me to purchase the vehicle and drive it home that day. I worked with Patrick on the car purchase and he was extremely professional and helpful. Buying a car is a big purchasing decision but the folks at Carricks made the experience a very positive one for me. If you are looking to purchase a used car, I highly recommend these guys. Patrick was great on the phone. He was better at getting me a loan than my 2 banks. He got right on it and got it done. Mark has very good public relation skills. Very down to earth, calm, cool, and collected. No sales pressure during my whole experience. He took care of the signing and explained all the document(s) details. I’m going back. I honestly had fell in love with Queenie from the first time I saw her on the Carfax website. I live in Shreveport so you could imagine my doubts but Mark and Patrick were very cooperative. My husband and I drove from Houston to their Plano, TX location to trade in a car in January. By Sept, we received a toll road bill. I immediately contacted the dealership to figure out why our licence plates were still being used and why was the vehicle still showing under our name. Patrick apologized and asked for the bill info promising they would take care of it. A few weeks passed and I received an even higher bill due to lack of payment. Once again, I contact Patrick, he asked me to email him the bill and they would pay for it, I asked for a copy of the paid invoice for my records and never received it. Im now receiving letters stating that I might not be able to renew my registration stickers due to lack on payment... several calls, emails and Facebook msg and still no solution to this issue... this small issue, that shouldve been taken care of in seconds, has become a real pain in the butt.. take yall business somewhere else and avoid a headache.

Well...I wanted to be fair and give these guys the opportunity to respond back in a timely manner both during delivery and AFTER I identified issues and concerns regarding the car I purchased. The Corvette I bought from this business had both mechanical and cosmetic problems that WERE NOT disclosed either prior to or after I received the car. When the transport company arrived with the car I specifically identified 2 concerns. The windshield had a crack in it and I recorded a video of the delivery driver stating that the damage occured prior to delivery even though there was no mention of this on the documentation. Also, the front bumper has damage that appears to be due to a traffic accident which is obvious by the poor paintjob overspray and touchup. The transport driver identified that the hood was out of alignment and would not/could not close and latch down properly.The following items were identified by my awesome local Chevy dealer here in Las Vegas:1. All fluids contaminated...oil, antifreeze, transmission, power steering and brake fluid. Cost to replace- $4752. Cracked windshield- $4003. Hood out of alignment- $1504. Tires worn out. Unbalanced. Alignment. Cost $2,500 + alignment $149.955. Crankshaft Harmonic Balancer needs replaced. Cost- $1253.376. Air filters and cabin filter dirty. Cost- $1507. Battery posts corroded. Cost- $61.708. Wipers worn out. Cost- $ 30So far I paid for the hood alignment, fluids, filters and air deflectors on the front bumper to be replaced. These items cost approx $1,000 and this does not even take into account the remaining items that I identified as issues, concerns and repairs that total $4,000.My expectation is that the dealer pay for the windshield, hood repair and 2 tires with alignment. This is a fair request since NONE of these issues were communicated during the purchase process. $2,000 is a fair settlement. Still waiting for a response or at least a phone call. I have bought and sold online about 7 times. This is the first time a dealer has neglected to be transparent and honestly disclose the issues. I guess these guys roll this way and are used to not being called out for poor service. Pretty much no communication from these guys. The title arrived in the mail without letting me know it was on the way...

Purchased a 2008 Jeep wrangler Sahara from them this week. Top notch customer service and jeep checked out clean when we took it to our mechanic. Great owners there would purchase again. No negotiating allowance because they are already low priced.

Came in from out of town to see a truck. Mark told us the truck is perfect and ready to be sold. Once I started the truck the dash lights lit up like a X-mas tree i.e. check engine, VSC, tire monitoring senor. Disappointed with the whole experience from this dealer. Mark was apologetic.

I bought my son his first car from Carricks. I have bought many cars throughout my life and this was the best experience Ive ever had. Mark was absolutely great. Total opposite of what you expect when purchasing a used vehicle. When we arrive we told him what car we wanted to look at. Within 5 minutes he had the car pulled up front. He got a quick copy of my drivers license and gave us the key to take the car for a quick drive. We took it for a spin and when we got back Mark talked to us for a minute and told us if we needed anything to let him know. My son and I spent about 30 minutes checking out everything on the car without a salesman hard selling us the entire time. Mark was very personable and humorous and made the process very easy. We spent about 30 minutes on the financing application process and Mark told me we could take off and he would call as soon as the car was ready. We did not have to spend 4 hours sitting in lobby waiting for the car to be ready. When went and had lunch and Mark called me and said the car was ready. I would recommend Carricks to any of my friends or family. We will definitely be back!

They are a nice family-owned business and give you some pretty good deals. I was quite pleased with my overall experience. Starter went out within a couple of weeks after slow cranks from day of purchase- Not sure if that was missed or skipped over in the “full inspection” by their mechanic. But you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a bargain, they have pretty good deals. They are personable too. Mark and Patrick are quick to respond and give you what you need.

After liking the vehicle and deciding it was what we wanted, we sat in Marks office and heard something Ive never heard from a car sales person (and Im a career salesperson) We can sell you this car, get you financing, but its not a good idea for you. Mark actually counseled us out of buying a car that would have negatively affected us in the long run. So here we are, 4 years later. We took his advice, stuck it out, saved our money, and when we were ready, I knew who to call. And despite the COVID regulations, today purchased a 2nd vehicle from Mark at Carricks. Worst place to ever buy a car. They straight up lie to your face. They promise to fix things and then say they never said it, they only fix part of the problems and don’t actually fix the problem. They just make it driveable the cheapest way possible with no regard for safety or longevity or reliability. Young dude never picks up any calls and is late for arranged meetings with customers.

Only issue is that they should update the cars online after they have been sold. They need to use pending sale or sold on the ads.

Hard working family business. Everyone knows used cars can have issues but its the effort after the sell that set them apart from other places. They worked with me, even took care loaner car due to my travel. I know they weren’t obligated to but they chose to help me out.

Mark was great! We did our research online (Carricks has a very user friendly website FYI) and we brought out wish list with us. We drove all the trucks and picked the one that we loved All the trucks were nice and clean. Mark and his staff were zero pressure while we took our time to check out each truck. The final check-out was easy and friendly. I would buy another vehicle here no question.

In the process of shopping for cars, I found that it was easiest to give the dealership a call before I head over to make sure the car is still available and give them a little heads up if they need to go retrieve the car. I called and told the salesman which car i was interested in and that I would be there within the hour. When I arrived, there was someone in the front office with a customer and I had to walk back a little bit to catch the eye of the other salesman. He came and offered assistance, I told him the car I was interested in and he said someone would have to go get it down the street and to give it about 5 minutes. He then went back into his office and I didn’t see him again. I waited for about 20 minutes and there was still no car and no acknowledgement of me sitting in the lobby. It was as if no one cared that I was interested in buying a car from there. Then, someone else walked in, walked back to find the salesman like I had to do, and the salesman treated him exactly the same way, with little to no help and no interest in helping. I ended up just leaving then because I wasn’t interested in doing business with a salesman who isn’t interested in selling me a car.

Would I buy again, Absolutely!

I purchased a 2012 ML63 AMG mercedes from Mark and crew. Let me tell you, I am 100% satisfied. Trade-in was easy; negotiations were simple, and the car was impeccable. Paperwork was quick and easy. Dont be fooled by their lack of fancy dealership (building, etc.). My opinion is that keeps overhead low, which makes the prices to the customers even better! I could not be happier with my trade and dealings with this group. I will be definitely be checking with them next time Im looking to trade cars!!!

They had a great selection of vehicles that were in our price range. Mark and Patrick were very friendly and very patient with us as we took 5 different trucks around the playground to see which one we liked best. The playground is a very large off premises lot that you could drive the vehicle around which was nice because we didnt have to hassle with dealer places, proof of insurance, etc. Which is great if you are shopping and have a few different makes/models you want to try out at once. Their pricing was very fair which left us feeling like we got a great value.Mark was even cool enough to put the Michigan State football game on the t.v. for me while my lady signed her paperwork on a great truck that satisfied all of our vehicular needs!

Great experience. I went there over lunch and in 1.25 hours I had a new car. They did mention it was the fastest sale theyve ever done. But I was in a hurry. I arrived, test drove the car around a few blocks, checked it out, walked back in, signed paperwork as fast as possible lol.I dont want to set the bar for how fast they should sell cars. Id suggest you always take your time and think things through.Great car (g35). Good lenders.The worst part about it - the place is a little hard to find.

We recently bought a 2008 Ford F-150 XLT from Mark at Carricks Auto. We were there for several hours with two children. Any parent understands how exhausting this can be. Mark was so kind and patient while we completed paperwork while simultaneously dealt with our 3 & 9 year olds. Great service aside, their cars are beautiful! I waited a week to write this review to be sure the car was as great as we thought. And it is. So clean and reliable. I cant say enough about this dealership and Mark. From the photos of his children on the wall, to relating to my kiddos, to telling us his own personal stories, we truly felt as though we could trust Carricks. And we were not wrong. This is not your sleazy used car business. To top it off, and very important... The car was priced great and had a very competitive and reasonable interest rate. Best deal we found on a vehicle by far. I highly recommend Carricks and will personally buy my next car from them in the future.
