I have owned my 1967 Corvette Stingray for twenty years. When it was time for the car to be restored, I brought it to Carrs Corvettes. Carr and his team did an outstanding job both inside and out. The interior is like new and the car drives better than it ever has. The quality and workmanship is exceptional. If you have a vintage Corvette in need of restoration or maintenance, look no further than Carrs Corvettes & Customs. Incredible job!

Updated Review for Carrs Corvettes & CustomsFeb 01, 2017Anyone reading this who owns a classic, vintage or collector musclecar (Corvette or other), you really must check out Carrs Corvettes & Customs in Plano, TX. Carr Campbell and his team are true musclecar professionals! Just look at their website to see the incredible National award winning Corvettes and Custom Hot Rods theyve built - better yet, you should go by their shop and talk with Carr about ALL the many cars theyve built and modified. Carr and his team are the friendliest, most welcoming people youll ever meet. Whether you want a fully restored, vintage numbers-matching Concours musclecar or a one-of-a-kind custom Hot Rod (like Carr has built for me), this is the one shop that can do everything - and they DO IT ALL with honesty and sincere passion that is so hard to find these days. I couldnt be more pleased with all the numerous high-performance modifications theyve performed on my 1967 Camaro over the past year and a half. But now, Carr and his team are REALLY taking my Camaro to the NEXT LEVEL. After just installing a brand new, complete coil-over front suspension, upgraded the 9 3:89 rear end assembly and having the Tremec 5-Speed upgraded with HD sychros, NOW they are in the process of installing a BRAND NEW 427 / 565 hp SBC !! Just look at these pics of the 427 engine installation, every detail is being performed carefully and methodically; theres no other shop that I would ever trust my Camaro with than Carr and his exceptional team. Ive never seen a team of people more professional, honest and dedicated to creating & delivering musclecar dreams - and with highest quality workmanship possible. So many thanks to Carr and his team....Jim, Kenny, Beth, Jennifer, Kenny Jr., Chris, Tanner, Mustang Mike, Art, Jax, Brandon, Ryan....and ALL of the other amazing people at CC&C !Thanks to CarrCarr,Updated review March 15 2016 - Just picked up my 67 Camaro after Carr and team completely modified the front end with the electric-motor RS Hide-a-Way Headlights - it looks AWESOME and works perfectly. They also replaced the rear suspension and painted the iconic Chevy Satin Black horizontal rear panel on my 67 Camaro SS....and everything came out PERFECT.Thanks Carr !RobJust wanted to thank you for ALL of the exceptional work you’ve done on my 1967 Camaro. Because of you and your team, my Hot Rod Camaro runs better than it ever has - the quality of work and craftsmanship that you guys do is extraordinary and second to none - and my Camaro is proof of that.As a meticulous muscle car owner who treasures his Camaro, its a blessing to find someone I can completely trust to maintain and work on my car. You guys truly care for my Camaro as if it were your own. The work is always done right the first time and I appreciate the extra time you always spend upfront with me to work within my budget……you’ve been completely honest with all of your pricing and you’ve actually prevented me from spending more than necessary. That’s how you’ve earned my trust and that’s why I’ll never bring my Camaro anywhere else.Im always treated with the highest level of professionalism and respect by you, Jim, Matt, Tanner, Beth, Jennifer and really everyone on your staff. You’ve basically rebuilt my entire drivetrain - engine / carburetor work, Tremec transmission replacement, complete rear end / gearing re-work, suspension rebuild, interior gauge work, and front-end body modifications….and everything’s been done right and it’s all turned out awesome. I’m always provided with telephone and email-photo updates of the work and the bills are clearly itemized which I really appreciate. Thanks Carr - I’ve never been happier with my Camaro and I appreciate the great work!Sincerely,Rob

I just recently took my damaged corvette to Carr’s for repair. The work that was done on my vehicle was outstanding. I couldn’t be any more pleased with the work that was accomplished. Each member of their staff took great pride in this project and I would recommend Carr’s Corvettes as the only place to take your classic vehicle for total restoration or repair. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work that has been done. Thank you again.Sincerely, Michael Redmond

It takes a lot of talent and experience to keep a classic car running and Carrs Corvettes does that for me. The work is Excellent and the attention to detail is exactly what my car needs. Carr is great to explain every line item of the repair, will go over the details beforehand, and again after the repairs are completed. Everything I asked for was done just as I needed. Thanks to Carr and the great staff there. I will not take my car anywhere else.

My car is occasional driver, body off resto and Carrs took the time and detail to restore the damage to the panel to specifications, paint matching and blending, panel underside, and overall care of the car during the process. Staff very helpful of what the process was and work to be done. Shout out to Beth too for all her help and her detail. Thank you! - John L.

What an incredible find Carrs Corvettes & Customs was! My son backed his truck into my 2015 Corvette and hit the passenger side fender and bumper. Everything on my car was hand picked by me and I was so afraid it would not ever be right again. Carr took me under his wing and assured me it would not even look like it was ever touched. All I can say is WOW! I am a VERY PICKY person and I combed over the car fully and this thing is flawless! I am so very happy to have found Carr and Marcelo who actually cared for my car as if it was their own. Great folks, amazing work and Carr is simply the best! Customer for LIFE!

I have a one-owner 1977 Corvette. Over the past 12 months Carr has done extensive work on the suspension as well as a major tune up. He recently did repair work on the front-end due to accident damage (caused by a lady in a Cadillac on her cell phone!!!).His work has been consistently professional as well as top quality whether it’s mechanical or cosmetic. On several occasions, I talked directly to the mechanic doing the work and they have generously taken the time to answer all my questions. After the accident damage, he detailed the car resulting in a finish that makes the black paint look like a black mirror.Run, do not walk to Carr’s Corvettes and Customs.

My 2015 Mitsubishi Evo needed a custom steel bracket made and Ive been putting it off for a while trying to find a local shop with some metal fab experience. Not only did they do a great job with the bracket, but Carr also personally took the time to show me the work that was done and pointed out another issue that they found while it was in there. Top notch shop!

I found Carr via my insurance agent. I had experience countless disappointments from so called experts and was looking for a place that would do what they say, when they said they said they would do it in a quality manor. The search is over. I have several cars that one by one they are making it into Carrs caring hands. They not only fix the issues brought to them they address issues they discover in the process. I can not tell you what a great feeling it is to have your car at a shop that fixes the issue and stands behind the repair. I have recommended Carrs to all my car buddies and they also have had excellent results. If you want your classic car fixed right the first time this is the place. Thanks Carr looking forward to getting the bugs out of all my cars.

I have had Corvettes for years, but usually they are on the newer side and didn’t need much work. That all changed a few months ago when I had an opportunity to buy my dream car …a 1962 Corvette.I knew it was going to take some serious knowhow and specialization to get the car where I wanted it to be. I also knew I was going to need someone I could trust to help make sure the car was, fixed right and was safe.I had talked to Carr a few times but never needed him do any work for me before.. but right before I bought the car I stopped by to see Car and informally interview him a bit ( he probably didn’t know I was interviewing him)….I knew right then he was the was the right guy for me, so I had my car trailered straight from the seller to Carr’s garage. I chose correctly.Words don’t really describe how happy I am that I choose Carr Campbell and his great crew. They treated me like I was part of a team not just a customer or a dollar sign.I will recommend that you should absolutely trust Carr with your classic car or Corvette and I will be back for years to come.

They give you a tour of the shop, or tell you to look around at all the cool projects. The shop manager is a good guy. The problem is the conn artist shop owner “Carr” who has no problem ripping off his customers. Personally I can tell you that from my experience, I dropped off my car and I was told I would be contacted with an estimate. It was very simple things like an oil change, change a hose, and tightening up a few bolts. I asked for an estimate and I was told it would take a day or two. Then I get an email saying the work is all done already and attaches an over $750 bill! I question it naturally, and the owners response was that he practically was doing me a favor by charging me so little. How is this guy in business?? I can confidently say based on my personal experience that CARR FROM CARR CORVETTES & CUSTOMS RIPS OFF HIS CUSTOMERS!!! Not only did he stick me with a huge bill, the work wasn’t even done!!! I asked for 1 hose to be changed - and it didnt even get done. The same leaky hose is still on car, almost $800 later. The garage does have some decent people working there (who should leave and move on to better things). But learn from my mistakes, don’t be a victim to this CHEAT and take your classic car business elsewhere. The guy says he wants to deal in cash and if you want to pay with a credit card, he tacks on an additional hefty percentage. In Dallas you have lots of options, and I would do everything to avoid dealing with this shady character. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

This review is for anybody who has spent money on their classic car and been disappointed by the results. I have spent thousands with another shop, only to settle for so-so. There was always potential for more, I just wasnt getting it. The record keeping was spotty at best and the work was subpar. That has all changed. Carr installed a new subframe under the front of my Camaro and fixed many issues that I had after I had paid another builder. He says they specialize in completing the final 10% that other builders leave behind. He wasnt kidding. He chased down a particularly vexing oil leak (bad head gasket) and installed a new tranny too. The car is now much closer to the supercar I imagined but hadnt been able to achieve. If your looking for cheap, keep moving. If you want results, this is your man.

This review is not quite accurate. This person brought their car in on a wrecker and it was not running at all. He did not drop it off.We wrote up a detailed work order which the customer read and then signed with 6 specific items to address. The list he approved was; Engine Turns Over But Does Not Fire - Get Car Running; Check Tune-Up Items (plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, carb and adjustments, timing, points, dwell and both mechanical and vacuum advance systems); Check Operation of All Fuses (every circuit, switch and light bulb in the car and make a list of any issues); Reroute and Replace Fuel Hose From Filter to Carb - Leaking; Lube, Oil & Filter; Check For Transmission Leaks (clean everything off with brake cleaner, clean the floor from the run-off, and then run the car to verify any leaks and pin point them). There is no mention of providing estimates anywhere on the work order. He also called back that day and ask us to fix both exterior door locks not turning with the key inserted (damaged lock cylinders, missing rods and clips, 36 years of dried grease, dirt and repaints), and diagnose why the horn didnt work.In his review he states that he approved the work.He was charged $69.09 for the new door lock set, a flasher, and the oil and filter. We did not charge for the brake cleaner or any of the new bulbs, fuses, lock rods or clips, etc. The labor for all he approved was $700.The hose that the customer is referring to was on the final invoice as; Re-Route Fuel Hose. We did not replace the fuel hose just as he states, because the hose was brand new and just needed to be rerouted off the heater and upper radiator hoses and the clamp tightened. There was no reason to replace his new hose. All parts and labor are covered under warranty. The real issue came when the customer disclosed that he had no money to pay for ANYTHING he had approved on the list he provided, not even the oil & filter and diagnosis of his items. We tried to work with the customer, and even stored his car for 2 weeks after he told us he would come and get it several times. We did not charge for storage. When he picked up the car it had been washed, vacuumed and detailed at no cost to the customer (we do that to all cars), and I stayed 40 minutes late on a Friday to personally deliver the car.I am still very confused why anyone would bring a car in on a wrecker, give a specific list of items to diagnose and repair, read and sign a work order and then tell us he had no money to pay for any of it.All of this is over an invoice of $774.79 with tax. I removed the labor to get the car running of $300 (plus the items we never charged for), to try to help him out. $447.79 was the huge bill he refers to, after all the work listed and completed. Also, we do not accept credit cards, but if you absolutely need too, we can use Square by adding the industry standard 3.25%. This is his hefty percentage he refers to. We only do credit cards a few times a year. I am sorry he could not come up with $447 in cash or check. He finally barrowed the money from his cousin.I dont think it is fare to make all customers pay for using a credit card if they dont want to. We DO NOT Accept Credit Cards and our policy is clearly stated in bright red on the work order he signed, and the invoice. It is also on a large sign in the office, and was verbally explained and physically pointed out to him on the work order, along with insurance requirements in Texas before he signed the work order. Our labor rate is also posted as required by law.We are blessed to have outstanding customers and a very good international reputation for our quality and attention-to-detail. It is clear to see that we have never had any negative reviews in all the years we have been in business. I would suggest anyone looking to bring a car in to look at the website, read the testimonials on our sight, and come visit the shop. We can also provide references and you can see our work at almost any car show in the DFW area, national car shows and around the world.
