Typically this place isnt terrible with the animals but today was particularly bad. All the fish are bottom sitting (sign of stress or illness) or had visible fin rot, or fungal infections. Their reptiles was another story, they have leopard geckos with horribly stuck shed to where their eyes couldnt open, which is 100% preventable. As a reptile and fish owner of many years its just sad to see the lack of care

My dad took his husky Bella here to get groomed and they shaved her in patches and Im not sure what shampoo they used to bathe her with but her hair has been falling out like this since she got back from being groomed. He paid $60 for this hack job.

Nice store. Well stocked. Salespeople were helpful and friendly. Purchased new dog tag for puppy. ETA: Tag is very heavy. Not for use on small puppies.

Got a cat tower for our fur babies and they love it and the staff was very helpful! Will get more supplies from petsmart from now on

My daughter and I adopted 2 cats from the shelter that petsmart host we are very happy with our kitty cats but the employees didnt know much about how to go about adopting them

This is a wonderful Petsmart. Its always well stocked and neatly organized. The staff in ALL departments are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Eric is absolutely wonderful. I think hes a Manager. If he isnt, he should be. He knows this store inside out and he always goes above and beyond to assist customers. There #1 in pet stores. Did I mention, their animal friendly? Lol. My big boy Brutos (Rottweiler) loves it there.

Bought 15 fish from Avon everyone of them died by morning. Bought 25 from plainfield. 3 weeks later, every one of them still alive and growing!! You do the math!! 🙂

Always friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Plainfield Indiana Petsmart. This time however I have to advise that they have gone well above and deserve recognition for being the ONLY STORE TO PROVIDE FREE MASKS!!!

Normally I have a good experience, but today was terrible. Worst staff I have ever encountered. Not a single employee greeted me, ask if I needed help and the cashier…. She was absolutely horrid. She didn’t bag all my items so I had to put them in the bag and she just tossed my receipt and turned away, ignoring the line behind me to talk to someone.

Understand the animals from this place are merely product and merchandise. Very cruel, and theyre numb to it. The manager found it comical that I called the cockatiel a life. He said I can return it and can have 1st dibs if Id like if it lives, otherwise more will be in stock eventually. How nice. 😒👎 they ravished this poor bird so bad, how could I possibly send him back to be finished? They sell you back your humanity ((photos irrelevant just tossed in))

Got my best friend her favorite dog food and something that will help clean her teeth! She loves going shopping here especially since she gets to go in!

The item we came for wasnt on the shelf. Not sure if it was an issue with being understaffed, not enough time before the shipment arrive and it was put on the shelf or it was buried. But, we ask and we got immediately! Proof that their customer service is still top-notched.

This place was awsome! I have a Big pitbull and took her there for grooming. They were awesome with her! No problems at all. She doesnt gave a problem with people just other dogs. They handeled her with expertise and efficiency! Live them!

If I could give less than 0, I most definitely would. My pet had an appointment at the grooming salon 8/31/2020. When I went to pick her up, I was informed that her nails were not able to be clipped. I was not offered to bring her back in on a different day. I called after I had left and asked to bring her back 9/6/20 to try again. My husband and I brought her in today and the associate kept rolling her eyes and staring at us. Then she asked me questions and had me sign the consent. She then took my pet back behind the door and another associate told us to go walk around the store and they would page us when she was done. We stood outside and watched them. One of the employees was standing by the swinging door they take the pets through, with her back to the door. I felt like she was trying to block my husband from watching the 2 other associates try to clip my pets nails. I was watching through the window. I saw the associate that was rolling her eyes when we first went in walk away. She came back and put a muzzle on my pet and then it looked like they were trying to flip her upside down. My husband went in and made them stop. We left and now I believe my pet has been traumatized. I know I definitely have been for her after what I witnessed and experienced with my pet on the way home. We have taken my pet to the PetSmart in Avon, IN a few times and have never had any issues. My vet has even clipped her nails a couple of times and there were never any issues. My pet has never been muzzled until today. This was the most disturbing and disgusting experience I’ve ever had. If the associates that work in your salons are afraid of the animals they work with or truly do not like grooming animals as a profession then they definitely should not be employed by your company. Maybe they also need to rethink their career path. To answer the question below, a Hands-On-Pet Assessment was not done either time.

Ive always bought our dogs food from here and its been very easy since Covid 19 started with being able to order online and pick up in store. They always have good deals and nice people.

Super helpful. I got my husband a breaded dragon for Christmas and they helped me get everything I needed. Plus I have gotten a ginny pig from them too.

They generally have what I need/want. Seemed a little short staffed for a Saturday but everyone else seemed to be able to find what they needed as well. A little pricey as always and I could do with seeing some changes there, but I guess their policy is that people will pay whatever they charge for what is wanted badly enough. Different names for that policy, capitalism or extortion. Each one gets to decide at this point.

Friendly helpful staff. Nice variety of rescue cats and kittens, rotated often. They have 100 kittens right now because covid shut down the spay neuter clinic at peak (spring) time. GO SEE EM

Petsmart in plainfield, beats them all. Always has everything I need I never have to remind them to check my treat points they automatically do. Prices are right store is always clean, there is always someone to help if needed. The staff always serves you with a smile and makes you feel as if your welcome there, never interrupting their job at hand. Cant say that everywhere. KUDOS TO THE STAFF AT PLAINFIELD.

I can always find what I need here but everytime I go which is GREAT. But I always have a negative experience with employees. My little sister fell head over heels for a hamster. We waited maybe 20 minutes for the other employee to finish up getting a couple budgies for the customer in front of us. Then another lady comes barging over and steals the employee away from us when we were waiting patiently. So I ask another employee. I was very kind and excited as I am very shy when meeting new people but was shot down pretty quick when I was told okay your gonna have to wait a minute Im busy in a very sharp and snobby attitude. She wasnt doing anything that I could tell which is why I asked. Like we literally have a cart full of items and your gonna treat your customers like that? If my sister wasnt so set on this hamster I would have walked out. I wish it could have been a better experience for her. Then when we checked out he didnt even offer my dog a treat like our other PetSmart. I unfortunately wont be coming back but hope that there is a change for other customers sake!

Puppy training is the best

RACIALLY PROFILED AND WAS DENIED THE RIGHT TO PURCHASE OUR SELECTED PET WHICH WAS A GUINEA PIG AND THERE WAS NO REASON WHY

My partner visited this store to make an exchange on a dog jacket and return a set of dog boots. When my partner went up to the cashier to make the exchange/return CHLOE (the cashier) immediately accuses my partner of theft because she pulled the return/exchange items out of the reusable shopping bag SHE WALKED IN THE STORE WITH. I had marked on the receipts with green highlighter to show what items needed returned before making the trip to make sure we took in the correct receipts as the return/exchange items were on separate transactions. I was feeling ill so my partner made the trip alone. CHLOE did not address with a supervisor any suspicious activity before her false accusations and had no reasonable suspicion to blatantly acuse my partner of theft.WE RECUED OUR DOG AS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL FOR MY PARTNER. MY PARTNER WAS IN PETSMART GETTING ITEMS FOR HER EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG AND THIS IS HOW CHLOE REPRESENTS PETSMART. UNACCEPTABLE...The assistant manager got involved and handled the situation with professionalism and proved CHLOE WAS IN FACT WRONG ON ALL ACCOUNTS! All CHLOE had to do was do her job and scan the receipt which verifies no returns or exchanges were previously performed on that receipt instead of immediately falsely accusing someone of theft. We live locally in Plainfield and would frequent this store to get items for our two cats and new rescue dog. DESPITE ALL OF CHLOES FALSE ACCUSATIONS, CAUSING EMOTIONAL DISCOMFORT AND BLATANT DISREGARD OF RESPONSIBILITY OF THE REPRESENTATION OF PETSMART, my partner still made a separate purchase after the assistant manager helped out and she made the usual donation we make on all of our Petsmart purchases. Needless to say we will not return to the Plainfield location because of CHLOE. CHLOES terrible service I can look past but the emotional state it put my partner in is UNACCEPTABLE. This happened on Sunday 1/3/2021 at the PETSMART in Plainfield, Indiana.

So far so good. It was my first time in there and it was decent.

I was able to find everything I need for my fish and dog. A knowledgeable employee helped me find the products I was looking for.

Busy. Had to wait in line for a bit today. Their extra dog toy bins seemed almost depleted compared to 2 weeks ago. Some items they do have on sale at a good discount. They are making everyone wear a mask or you cant come in....just FYI for this weekend.

Many of the staff greet you by name and always go out of their way to help, with top of the line customer service .This PetSmart really lends a helping hand within the community also. Always find what I need and more

Semi good selection of fish and then people seem knowledgeable in their animals but, the check out rep. Dropped my bag of fish off the counter because she was talking to another worker and putting in prices I would not recommend this place. I did not make it all the way to putting my fish in their tanks before they died.

Great selection of food and treats for puppies but was maiming looking to buy clothes for our puppies and their selection was bare minimum.

The first time we took our corgi to the grooming place they did wonderful! The young woman who cut his hair was so nice and friendly and looked like she genuinely enjoyed what she did, so we brought him back, it was a different woman who was super rude and acted annoyed, and when we came back to pick him up it was like he was a completely different dog, he got EXTREAMLY sick for a few weeks and was terrified of EVERYTHING and since then he has been terrified of baths and any type of grooming.

Smaller salon Plainfield Indiana. more personable. The groomers enjoyed my pups very much and told me to bring them back anytime. They were impeccably groomed.

More expensive than most stores and you never know how much youre going to have to pay to get to the cash register

I do not love places, things, cars, etc. I do love my neighbor everywhere I go. And the people at Pet Smart made it easy for me. Two dogs bathed and nails cut. Great job ladies.
