They do fantastic work. I will say that they are hesitant to tell you bad news though. So I ended up calling more often than them calling me. Outside of the communication issue, each employee I encountered was always polite and didnt treat me like I am stupid. *Which is an all too common issue Ive had at mechanics* Would definitely recommend.

I like the men that work there, they do good work, and they dont charge more than I have to. If you have a car problem take it to someone like this. I have twice now, both times I had a great experience. I even took my friend there, they too had a great experience. Try them out I dont think youll be sorry.

We had a transmission go out in our Dodge Journey and he took great care of us then a few days after we picked up the dodge my GMC Sierra ac comp went out and another great job I would continue to use his shop for all future issues as I know we will be taken care of, wife’s family has used his shop for years and now I see why. I had brought my car here a few times before. I had on going issues. My final visit I was quoted for the repair. They had my car 12 days with zero communication, irritated when I called and always said they’d call back... didn’t.. When I went to finally pick it up was charged a higher price and when I questioned it the office lady went crazy on me. It was quite frightening.

I have had vehicles repaired with Jims over the last 20yrs and have been happy with the service and quality every time. Theyre business practice is very honest and they wont try to upcharge you or make up repairs that you dont need like some other shops.

Amazing people, great and fast service, nailed the estimates, and my car smelled fresh and clean when I got it back! They go above and beyond every time and trust them 100% with my repair needs! HIGHLY recommend!!!

TERRIBLE!!!!! Bill makes promises that he cannot keep. We took our vehicle there twice. The first time we were promised that our vehicle would be done the next day. Around 4:45 on the day that it was supposed to be finished my husband decided to call, because we had not heard anything from them all day, only to learn that our vehicle would not be done until the next day. Strike one. Thought that we would give them another chance and took our vehicle back in for a simple repair that ended up costing us over $400. The mechanic fixed things that we did not even ask for nor did we agree to and then refused to take the cost off of the bill. I WOULD NOT recommend this shop to anyone. My husband and I had the WORST EXPERIENCE at Jims Auto Repair! DO NOT GO.

Honest people who love the Lord and do really good work. Very genuine, respectful, knowledgeable, accommodating, reliable, and generous.

My husband has brought his vehicle here 2x and was quoted 1 price charged another. Everytime he picks his truck up something else is wrong with it. It takes them forever to even get your vehicle in the garage and they never communicate with you we always have to call to see whats going on.

Husbands SUV rear end was repaired here, awesome service, caring, honest and humble people. We need more people like this in Indiana.

If anyone is looking for a good and honest mechanic I would recommend Jims Auto in Plainfield. Its really hard to find someone who is honest these days. I wont take my car any where else.

One of the worst experiences with a mechanic I ever had very expensive and steal things wrong with my car

They performed work that I didnt authorize busted driver front wheel well cladding and left it hanging loose.

Ive been taking my vehicle to Jims for a few years for oil changes and the like, so when my car started smoking from under the hood for no apparent reason I took it in. I told them no need to rush, since I didnt need the car back the same day or even the next day. 1 week later they finally called me and said they didnt know why it was smoking but they had found another problem with it that might fix it. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Ive always trusted their judgement and figured they would resolve the problem. A further 2 weeks pass with no call from them so I called myself and they said it would be ready in a few days. Another week later I call them and say I want to pick it up today. They say theyll call me back in a minute after they finish getting it ready. 2 HOURS later I call again and say Im coming to get it and they say okay its done. Payed $600 for whatever part they supposedly fixed. In the 4 MINUTE drive back to my house, I smell smoke. Park it in the driveway and what do you know, smoke billows out from the hood as soon as I pop it open. So ONE MONTH and $600 later, nothing seems to be repaired. I dont know if these guys are crooks, lazy, or just stupid, but dont trust them with anything bigger than an oil change. I know I never will again.

We had a horrible experience also! Customer Service was very poor. New parts were changed that should not have been, and they wanted to charge $25/day for storage. BBB will be contacted.
