I had a headlight bulb that went out with my 2013 Daytona Dodge Charger that required a special bulb plus the clip that held the bulb in place that was also broken & required ordering and replacing. Instead of charging me for a whole new headlight installation which dealers were recommending the service reps at Bartel’s got exactly what was needed, although I had to wait several days for the clip, it was worth what I saved by their replacing the bulb and the clip.I will definitely return there for all my future auto needs.

My son’s car broke down close to Bartel’s Auto on a Saturday night. And we walked over to see if they were open and saw that they were closed, but they were still in the building. So they grab a few technicians and the mgr walked over to my sons car and ran a few tests. They told me that it needed an alternator and they would be able to install it on Monday morning. So they jumped my sons car and rode over to their shop. Was quoted a very reasonable quote and they delivered great customer service to my family.Would recommend this place to everyone. Once again very professional service in repairing and restoring the air conditioning in my 2007 Versa. They also took on the very difficult task of replacing the blower motor resistor, which is buried very deep under the dashboard. Even Nissan didnt want to do it. 191,000 miles and going strong thanks to Bartels. Thank you very much, keep up the excellence.

I went to the shop to get bearings replaced and Alex came back with a list of 6000$ worth of work. Grant it I’ve owned the vehicle for 4 months and never had to top off fluids, I park in the same drive way daily and never a drop. But ironically the trans shaft and rack and pinion were in need of immediate care. I went to 2 shops and the car is fine. It’s hard to find honest people but beware of this place

Usually good service, but dont make an appointment towards the end of the day. I went for an oil change at 4:00, theyre supposed to do an all-points inspection with that service. 1 month later my car battery died and the emergency roadside mechanic found the connections were COVERED in acid corrosion. He said that the mechanics either didnt bother to look under the hood or DID notice but chose not to fix it because it was the end of their day. I wont be going back there.

Wanted to replace the whole rear axle on my truck for $2700. Found a place to rebuild it for just under $1000. Needless to say I wont be back there ever again. Looks as if they want to gouge people for as much as they can.

The blower went out in my vehicle Jan 2021 and they were able to repair it same day. I called other places who wouldnt be able to repair it the same day as well as they were too expensive. I was going to go to my usual spot to have it repaired as they had the best price but werent going to be able to repair my vehicle until Mon. Bartels matched the price I was quoted and got my business. They even provided a ride to and from my house while my vehicle was being serviced. They were great to work with!

Professional service and exceptional Customer service! So, my Jeep had a slow leak in my tire caused by a screw on Christmas Eve. I called Bartel’s around 1:00 in the afternoon. The gentlemen told me to bring the Jeep in, and within minutes of being there, they ascertained the problem, removed the screw, patched the tire, and was on the road within 40 minutes!! I would have never thought possible, especially Christmas Eve!

Have taken my 2014 Veloster R-Spec here twice now, once for brakes and battery, once for new coil packs, spark plugs, to replace the oil cooler, and oil change. Theyve always been fair and informative, as well as not pushing unnecessary repairs and services. Will definitely be using their services again.

I remember the last few times I went there they seemed very rude, but putting feelings aside they are not very competent with the work that they do. I brought a Mercedes there and they had to top off the oil three times and didnt bother to check it each time before leaving the shop. Next time I went because there was a known balance shaft issue on this engine and theres a special procedure to diagnose it. The kid who worked there and looked at it told me No, everything is fine, I followed the procedure to verify it. Well I checked it myself the next week and it was way out of spec (the timing between the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys) and the engine basically would not run once the check engine light comes on because the timing was so far off. So I am not blaming them for the engine not running but there are a lot of kids there who seem very incompetent and rude and fail to listen to the customer who knows the history of the vehicle.

I cannot thank this place enough for all they did for me. Right away they were in contact with me about what needed to be fixed- even sent pictures of what was wrong. Updated me frequently on the status of the car. Car was done in a timely manner and gave me a courtesy vehicle to drive in the meantime. Recommend this place to anyone that needs work done. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

For the 6 years I have owned my 2003 Mustang Cobra every alignment I got had the wheel turning to the right when the car went straight. The team at Bartel’s took the time to make the necessary adjustments and for the first time my wheel stays straight. Would highly recommend!

Brakes needed repair was told they were done we were waiting outside then a guy came outside said brakes locked up gave us keys for loaner car said he’d call us in morning! Then when my daughter got home I noticed passenger side mirror was broken! We had literally bought car, took to them, brought car home! They said they didn’t cause damage but that is only place car was!Previously we took my husband’s car for oil change. Two weeks later oil light came on took it in they said it was all good took light off. Two weeks later same thing my husband researched and found out they didn’t put correct amount of oil in car, they were shocked looked it up said their computer system they used told them the wrong amount of oil!I’d say my confidence in them is not there at all!

My experience at Bartel’s Auto was awesome. I went there for an oil change and was greeted by Mike and his team. Mike was very courteous and pleasant. Mike invited me to the service area to discussed what was found during his inspection. He was very thorough and wasn’t forceful as far as any additional repair suggestions. Overall, Mike said my car is in excellent condition. I agreed to the additional minor repairs and is very satisfied with the service I received. I will only say the oil change service and license plate light replacement they provided me was absolutely more than fair given that the price of motor oil is at a record low. Every shop is going to tell me I need something fixed that doesnt need fixed. At least Bartels will accept no, but thank you the first time.

They are trustworthy Mechanics you want to do major repairs and do oil changes.. any Repair Shop since 1958 you can trust. I never had a problem, always got the job done at Fair Pricing and uses NAPA products. and they do squeeze you in even if theyre busy they get you in. Its not the place for me and my Beamer. And charging me $1800 for a starter and front brake replacement. Rip off for one. You used after market parts. Come to find out after speaking with BMW. Your after market starter was the same price as the OEM part from BMW. You said your price was cheaper than BMW. Bartell Auto clinic charge me the same exact price as BMW would have. But instead I have aftermarket parts that cost more than my original BMW parts. I feel cheated. Now my car is at BMW because bartells Auto clinic admit it they dont have the proper equipment to work on BMW. After I have given them $1,800. thanks for being honest and upfront with me from the jump instead of waiting to tell me the news after I handed you my money. So Im telling you right now if you have a BMW do not take your car here.

Went in because I received an email for $25 off service coupon. Was not given $25 off even after presenting the coupon. The oil change still cost me $70 which was after getting their loyalty discount of $10. If you want to spend $80 for an oil change then I recommend going here. Usually have a great experience here because they have a great knowledgeable staff but they need to honor the discounts that they email out.

So this is the second time I’ve been here and each time they were friendly and very knowledgeable. Matt made sure I understood everything and how the process was going to work and how much money it would be. They figured out everything that was wrong with my car and gave me a list of all the problems. Matt told me they even have payment plans so I wouldn’t have to pay everything up front. I ended up getting a new car but if I was going to fix my old one I deff would of went to bartel’s!!!!!!! Thank you guys for everything!

Took my car to discount tire for a rotation and balance that went terribly wrong, Day 1 woke up with a flat tire and went to Bartels and Mike took care of me at 7 and and had me gone by 7:45 after fixing discounts mistake. Day 2 wheels being out of balance and alignment messed up because Discount Tire let me leave and drive on unbalanced wheels, resorted in going to Bartels for a follow up where Mike got my wheels balanced and my car aligned. My car drives straight and smooth thanks to these guys, Bartels for sure earned a new customer.

Went on June 1st for my oil change as my wife recommended this auto shop. This is my first time here and the gentleman in the front desk was professional . After the service was done and got home I noticed oil drips in my garage. I checked and the reason there were oil drips the mechanic didnt even bother to clean or wipe the excess oil. The plastic cover in the undercarriage catches the oil drips . Hopefully, next time treat their customers car as their own car.

The manager was kind enough to offer recommendations on future repairs without being overbearing. I appreciated that he gave me time frames for repairs that were not yet critical but would still need to be addressed in the near future.

Came in with engine light on. Was told we have to do $144 inspection to better understand the codes that might be the problem. At this time you knew the gas cap could be the problem, but was NOT mentioned to me. Toyota had a new design gas cap that should be put on my scion which you knew about. After the $144 evaluation was completed then the gas cap was brought up and was determined to be the problem. Bottom line i got totally ripped off for $144. All other auto places would have replaced the gas cap first and see what happens before ripping the customer off for $144. Its obvious bartels doesnt put the customer first.

The people there were very friendly and helpful throughout the time my car was there, however they were charging more than double what other mechanics in the area were charging and they told me my car was in good condition for me to later find out it needed 2 rotten tires replaced and the bearings redone. A more thorough exam would have been good, especially since the coolant leak was missed on the first look at it even though that is what I brought it in for.

I can’t say enough about Bartel’s. Everyone there is very customer oriented, respectful, knowledgeable and treats everyone like a good friend. On my last visit I dealt with Tabitha who not only was knowledgeable but explained everything to me in layman’s terms. She kept me up to date and was very respectful of me & my needs. I typically take my vehicle to Bartel’s to get the oil changed because of the quick wait times and the thorough job they perform. I recently had an alignment done when Terry let me know that there was serious play in my tie rod and it needed to be replaced before serious damage occurred. Terry and his staff had my repairs done in under 2 hours including the oil change and alignment. I’m very satisfied with work, and the $25 off repairs coupon they email to customers really helps. I would recommend Bartel’s of plainfield if you need a repair done quickly and professionally.

What could have been a terrible day and terrible week turned into a great ending and it is literally due to the service that was given to us. We drove our car from GA to Chicago to visit family and then we’re headed down to Bloomington to visit more family when I was on the interstate an unable to avoid hitting an object in the road. Long story short my car was towed to Bartel’s and I think they knew I was upset and my number one priority was the limited time I had left to visit my family (including my 90 year old grandma). They made me feel like we were a priority. They got my car up on the lift and checked it out within half an hour. They took it for a test drive to ensure it was safe and that the damage done was fixable and that they were able to solve our problem within an hour without having to file a claim on insurance. These guys really took care of us and honestly they will never understand the appreciation I have for their kindness and honesty. Although we don’t live in Plainfield area, i have told my best friend who ironically does live there and several others.
