My husband got an unnecessary, very expensive crown last year. To add insult to injury, they did the crown wrong, leading to him needing to get the crown removed, a root canal, and a new crown this year. Thankfully, we discovered Dr. Ziese who is wonderful.

I chose the Placerville Dental Group based on their website and services offered. Upon my initial visit and consultation, I felt confident with moving forward and chose this office as my new dentist. Dr Cheema and the entire staff were not only friendly and professional, but amazing! From scheduling my appointments, and having oral surgery along with follow up, 👍👍👍

My husband went in for a cleaning and was very happy with the services. However, the staff does not follow proper COVID-19 precautions. The office had on surgical masks and no n95 and no face shields. Not only is this a disservice to the patients but to themselves. Level 3 or not, healthcare professionals in a HIGHLY aerosol driven field should be wearing at MINIMUM an n95 with a surgical on top.

Went for an exam and x-rays and they had my insurance information. I was asked to come in to an earlier slot which I then waited over 45 mins after the said time before even taken back. They took extra xrays that my plan did not cover and were more orthodontic. Then Dr.Manpreet or Singh (didnt introduce himself), came in to do the exam which was asking about any issues I had, then cold testing 2 teeth and 2 others for reference, then telling me I needed a root canal, filling and crown, and should get crowns on other teeth and left. Then Kathy came in without a mask to explain my coverage and what the prices would be. I communicated via e-mail about the lack of exam. Then I went and used my husbands tools to look at my teeth and several have severe cavities that the doctor didnt even look at. I went to Above the Gate instead for my pain and it turned out to be 2 COMPLETELY different teeth causing my pain. I was immediantly given antibiotics and given the treatment needed not told I should do crowns on teeth that were not even bothering me. Placerville Dentistry then charged me to have my records sent over as well as for the xrays they did that were not covered, they gave me a courtesy discount but I still had to pay for an incomplete exam and unnecessary xrays. Do not go here, had the doctor actually done a full exam and did more then cold testing I may have been able to save a couple of my teeth. I had massive infection in both sides of my face, several OBVIOUS cavities, and 2 teeth that ended up needing to be removed but Above The Gate gave me more options to help try to save them since I was in a waiting period for my insurance. If you need a dentist go there instead.

They are always attentive and professional! I’m so happy to be able to get a better smile and feel confident again.

We recently moved to Placerville, and were looking for a Dental Office near our home. From the time I set up my first appointment until now, my third visit, I have been impressed with everything about the practice: The Doctor is very personable, the staff is friendly, efficient, and effective. The office itself is clean, orderly, busy, professional ... and ... technologically up to date — the staff has the tools to he me take care of my oral health. Oh yes — BONUS — the office is within easy walking distance. How cool is that! 😎🌟

I needed a repair of my dentures and got in right away, they met with me to see what needed to be done and scheduled me for the next morning at 8 and was back to work in15 min and was able to pick them up before I went home that night. They did an awesome job on my teeth! Would highly recommend them!

The worst experience ever. Between Deborah at the front counter belittling people and the doctor trying to gold dig, it was terrible. Would not recommend to anyone. All we asked for a detailed list of work that needs to be done on our son, and my wife got belittled.

I have had great experiences so far! The staff is wonderful and efficient. The dental hygienist is lovely and very caring and helpful. :)

I went in for a cleaning and needed x-rays, too. (Im old enough to remember when those were a real hassle, but the new methods are so quick and easy.) The new hygienist is great - very personable and professional and really seems to know what shes doing. She found a couple of shadows on my teeth and had the dentist check them out. He decided theyre nothing to worry about, so no drilling! (Im lucky that Ive got good teeth, even when I didnt treat them well, but I do now!) Anyway, between these nice folks, where Ive been going for many years and have always liked the hygienists, and my good fortune in teeth, it was a good visit! Also! I don’t have dental insurance and they made sure to offer me this discount plan they take that saved me about $100.

Very friendly staff. I have never been so comfortable in a dental office. They make you laugh and feel like you have always gone there since you were a kid. I will now always continue to go to placerville dental group. Absolutely great place!

This is the worst dds I have every had . Paided $9740.00 In full to have dental implant put in .Had to have first post remove after Dr Berry put them in . Do back again to have Dr Cheema put post back in . Had to have them removed after they failed. Had to pay $3856.00 to a different dentist to take them out. Do not give them your money or your time. I Have turned over all my x-rays and not over to another dentist. They rip me off I am on a fixed income . They have not offered to pay me back or refund any of my money this is a real legal action against Placerville dental group.

Wonderful staff. Nervous coming in but relaxed quickly. Friendly atmosphere & staff. Truly appeared to know what they were doing. I felt very good about that, very trusting in staffs expertise. Impressed by modern equipment, professionalism in general. All was excellent experience. Im leaving with feelings of great confidence in the work to be done on my teeth. The hygienist is great. However, to make an appointment, you get scheduled months out. The doctor is ok, but I didn’t like the video about my crooked teeth and how they were in danger of falling out unless I had them straightened with Invisalign. The quote was $5000. My teeth aren’t that crooked.

Dr Steele told me he could help me with my dental problems. He told me they could help me afford it.Then he had his secretary tell me it would be $3000 to fix my tooth. And that was after my insurance discount. So I asked if that was some sort of mistake. I was told certainly no mistake had been made, and that I could agree to pay $3000 immediately or leave. So, I left. And then I called my insurance.What Dr steele and his office staff FAILED to tell me was, if I made a quick phone call to my insurance, it would have been $200. Seriously. A phone call to my insurance would have saved me $2800.My insurance asked me of Id like to work with Dr steele. I said thanks but no thanks.

My wife saw Dr. Mucci twice. Each time she ran into my arms after many hours in the dental chair in tears. She calls him the Butcher and it was the most painful dental experience in her life. Dr. Mucci worked on her with the anesthetic not working. She says her ears were filled with tears. I was left in the parking lot for so long, I was ready to call the police. I knocked on doors repeatedly to find out what was taking such a long time. If I could rate him in negative numbers I would. Find another dentist.

I went to this office with an abscessed gum problem and in pain. I dont remember the name of the doctor who examined me, perhaps I dont want to remember his name, I think it was Dr. Steele or something like that. After taking some expensive photos and X-rays, and painful poking into my gum, he told me I have an infection under my bridge, which he suggested changing it to a new bridge for an almost $5000 cost. I asked for some antibiotics for a temporary relief, he simply shrugged and said thats not going to help and left the office. The office staff handed me a bill plus they charged an additional $15 to give me a regular paper copy of the photos they took and out they sent me with more pain than I walked in with. Such a non-caring insensitive doctor. I would never step in this office again. I wish I could give this dental office less than one star.
