I figured I would patronize a local business while I was in town & see what these guys were about. Called at 8:01 asked if they had space for a walk to which the guy replied we are walk ins only. I make my way over attempt to open the door 8:04 (apx.) & find it to be locked even though they show online they open at 8 and the person answering the phone didnt indicate they were not open. After trying the door i get a wave from the dense person inside who did not care to take a few moments of his time to ask what was needed. What a great way of contradicting the local signs thanking first responders, couldnt even open the door to ask what was needed. Guess ill be going to queen bees or broadway barbershop. Shoulda slept in after my 12hr shift rather than expecting this clown to conduct business within their buisness hours.

Took my dad here today for a hair cut and a neck an beard trim he is a little older but the guy that did his cut did great took his time didnt rush and it turned out great. Price wasnt to bad either will definitely be going back :)

Great atmosphere, lots to look at. However, I had a rookie in training. Well over an hour in the chair. Trainor very demeaning to rookie. Additionally, a customer came in complaining about getting a ticket from law enforcement. All barbers had negative comments about said agency. My agency. I kept my mouth shut. A business should know its clients that order a high and tight might be law enforcement. Very unprofessional. I gave a $15 tip to the rookie regardless. I will not be returning.

This place has character just like the owner. My only suggestion is for them to install a marquee sign so their business is more noticeable from the street.

I have been to a lot of different barbershops and this is by far the best. They have such an attention to detail and every time I leave I look my best. Also this place has the vibe of a real barbershop that I want. Its a place to BS, kick your feet up and get a fantastic shave.

Ive been going here for a year and the guys working here have shown me their respect, and their skill. I once had them stay afterhours to cut my hair! They remember me and all the gents that walk in by name. Kid friendly, very sociable crew. I recommend calling a head of time to get in cause, the appointments go fast!

Needed a cut really bad and couldnt go see my regular guy, so I decided to give this place a shot, I could not of been more impressed by not only the cut (fade with a straight razor line up and beard trip) which was done by Dallas btw, but the environment its really special you can tell the main guy (the owner) pours his heart n soul into this place. I definitely will be back and who knows I may have found a new regular.

Okay type of place. But does not accept credit cards even though they have the square sign on the door saying they accept Amex, visa and MasterCard. Also according to their yelp page they accept credit cards. Not till the end of the haircut was I informed that they do not accept this method of payment.

It just feels so good walking in to this place. The aroma and the vibe all hit you at once. Id say the best cuts Ive ever gotten were from this place Ive never walked out of this barber shop disappointed. Bowtie is a very straight forward guy if you tell him what you want hell give it to you maybe hell even exceed your expectations and give you something even more satisfactory. If youre looking for a very specific cut be able to present a picture or example of some sort. Another if youre going in there and have a hard time staying still or if youre asking for a complicated design and plan to go in multiple times in the future he WILL avoid cutting your hair. So be a little empathetic with the dude hes an aging man with a little bit of back pain. He does have a standard but hes also gotta look out for himself and after a long day of sitting and standing and sitting again and standing again and paying very very close attention to every line and every hair (and the occasional bitchy customer) it gets pretty rough. He does take his time but its for a good reason.

Not what I wanted. Told them exactly how I wanted my cut and they said no problem, even though they would do a little differently. Had me looking away from the mirror the whole time when cutting. When done they turned me around to view in the mirror and I couldnt believe it. Way to tight on the sides, (just about whitewalls), and too long on top and not evened out well. Really disappointed.

Updating my last review. Needed to get a December shave and hair cut. Stop in the down town Barbershop. New to the area this is my second time at this place. Had a barber pole. Ok shave and hair cut. Well was a walk in I put my name on the list asked how long. He couldnt say. See four people sitting. Ok thinking I have time. Asked can I go get coffee. Yes. Im good. Walked down to the corner got coffee. Came back sat down. Have coffee Im happy notice someone left. Cool. Nice place may get a good shave. Ok 1 hour and 1/2 later. Finished coffee long ago. Looking forward for a shave afterward a November no shave. Times up the guys are taking to long. To much showboating. Thinking more of a kids and young mans place. Dont get me wrong Im not that old. Just a grown up. I own a business and deal with customer daily. Enjoy sitting there have my coffee, and listening to the background music. I had the time but an hour, and 1/2 and still someone in the chair. Bummer both the Barbers shops here in town dont do shaves. Why? Barber pole shave, and hair place. Thanks guys good time.
