This is absolutely insane I’m a server in a restaurant and was laid off Saturday. I called to try to get emergency food stamps for myself and my daughter and am required To send in all these income verification’s from restaurants that aren’t even open in order to even be considered to qualify. Shame on the system

No appointments and your guaranteed to wait a minimum of an hour. Oh and you have a family and need to pay bills. We will only count 2 bills and only part of them, because we only expect you to pay part of your bills, and if you NEED a car to work, screw you and your insurance payments they dont count. You should be making more money. oh you make just enough money to cover bills and rent but not enough to feed your family, sorry you dont qualify for assistance. NEXT PLEASE

Honestly, I got there as the just opened, waited 5 minutes and my number was called. People I spoke to were respectful and got me out as fast as possible. Timing is everything.

Around the beginning of the shutdown they told me they would mail me a food stamp card. Called them multiple times, still no food stamp card. Very unprofessional.

There okay to a point but the waiting thing is just to CRAZY. They do need to see that, not all of us can make enough money to get everything paid so we need more help.

Can never get a live person and I keep getting d****d around. Been waiting a week for food stamps and keep getting told oh by tomorrow and still nothing! Knowing I have a child. Place can be absolutely ridiculous.

If you need to speak to a live person you have to go into the office and speak to someone unless you want it to take days.

It would be nice if someone answered the phone for once!

No one ever answers the phone there. Even if you have an appointment you will waste your whole day there. They dont tell you when you have appointments either.

Kind people who want to help, kinda cramped waiting are.
