My experience has been less than stellar. Since August 2020, I have never seen a real living person. The nice shelving units in 3 closets have all fallen to the ground because they were drilled into drywall only, smart system has never worked, the humidity level is astronomical to the point of pudding on floor from icemaker, there is no vapor barrier or insulation, orange water in one bathroom. Significant Gaps between door and frame. So much more and I have never received a response from anyone to anything. I pay the water and sewage to them directly and have had 2 shut off notices taped to door. No one will come take lock box off door and said I had 3 parking spots which turned into 1. Vent covers have blown out of walls. I had to have electrician go over every outlet and replaced plumbing under bathroom sink and wax ring on toilet. Mold growth due to no vapor barrier and no air return, but note their work order saying its my responsibility for mold. Hvac unit is not to code and i have a hell of a time stopping mold growth because im not paying for a vapor barrier and New HVAC system. They said I need to clean the nonexistent gutter so door doesnt rot from mold and bowl shaped concrete pad in front of it.I forwarded them PA inspectors licenses for asbestos and lead to indicate i know what Im ralking about and they still dont care. I know air returns are required and so does code enforcement who will paying a visit .When I finally was allowed to move in, I had to clean up what they left, but they want it professionally cleaned when you move out.Withholding rent is the only reason they contacted me. My maintenance portal didnt work and the one person that came to see HVAC said it wasnt to code, so they ignored closed work order, and told ne 8 -9 months irs my responsibility.Windows dont lock, Windows dont open. Improperly wired outlet, MOLD, same code on door everyone has bc they wont walk me through it, NOTHING IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY!!!! THIS COMPANY ESSENTIALLY ENDANGERS PEOPLE BY NOT ADDRESSING SERIOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARDS- - I HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION TO BACK EVERYTHING I SAID BECAUSE IM SURE THEYLL TRY TO SUE ME. They wont allow me copies of report from HVAC company, so make sure to record everything if one of their vendors does show up. Also take pictures and reference the municipalities code book. Youll need a personal copy of the code book- trust me.

From a renters perspective there are changes without notice, charges without explanation, agreements not kept. Call in to speak to a representative, the representative was very nice, but states this is the most poorly managed company they’ve ever worked for.If you’re a renter be professional and courteous, but document everything and have your attorney ready.

First, showed up to a house and couldnt get in. The lock code didnt work. I did get ahold of someone but they were unable to help. Then, we went to a 2nd home and were able to get in and we loved it. We were turned down to apply because I checked the box that I had a criminal charge that wasnt a traffic violation. Not a felony, mind you. And not a serious charge. They didnt even ask me what my charge was and it happened 20+ years ago. Ive been renting for the past 15 years, never late on rent, always take care of the house and property, never an issue with a landlord. One place, we were at for 10 years! These people discriminate for no reason. Theyll just waste your time. Save your application fee and go somewhere else.

Worst property management company!! Avoid renting from them at all cost. Very unprofessional, the maintenance portion of the company is subpar. When you submit your request for repairs they deny them and then wont respond to additional request. This company is not worth your money!!!

Please do yourselves a favor and never do business with Second Ave Realty and Management. My husband and I started renting with them during the pandemic and they took us for everything we were worth! They were terrible and unprofessional when we would reach out for help and when they would finally get back to us they would send us to a portal that was impossible to navigate and didnt actually ever get anyone to help us. They told us they only have a certain amount of money for each property and once it goes over that amount, they cant do anything about it. Our retaining wall fell on my husbands car and they wouldnt fix it. We were never late on rent, we took care of our place, we made the yard nicer, we kept them updated with any changes, and when it came time to getting our deposit back they gouged us for the smallest things and looked over everything we did.

This is the place to go when you want to sell your home in Pittsburgh. We had to sell my parent’s house after my mom passed away and I got what I thought was a very fair CASH offer, and my house was sold in less than 3 weeks. I didn’t have to pay a real estate agent or lawyer. Everyone was very respectful and didn’t try to “low ball” me like they did at the other companies. Highly recommend, Second Ave is legit!

I called the local and national number a number of times and got no call back. They are horrible.

Set up a virtual tour to see a house. I could not get into the house and when i call the business to get help all i got was their voicemail saying they would call me back. I’ve been sitting here for an hour and NO one has called me back. Very very unprofessional.

Called them as an option to look at for selling my home. Left a voicemail and was excited that Maurice called me back quickly and started asking questions about my property. After a few minutes offered a reasonable price they were willing to pay and wanted to see the property.Maurice was late getting to the appointment and went to wrong address. After asking a few questions immediately lowered his price and asked for me to text him my email so he could send over an agreement and we could go over the next day.I text him within the hour to both numbers and also asked for him to verify he got the texts. No response. The next morning more of the same as I text both numbers in the morning and afternoon asking to verify he got the email. I double checked the numbers from my call log.Maurice ghosted me like a professional. I found another company and had an agreement within hours.Stay away unless you like being ignored.

I called this place and 2 other we pay cash for your house buyers. I did not want to go through the hassle of listing my house for sale with a realtor, cleaning up and fixing my house, just for it to sit on the market for months. They gave me a very fair offer immediately and didnt try to low ball me. I was surprised how professional this company was after talking to 2 other businesses who buy houses. They worked with me on my time schedule, and there were no surprises. I would recommend you give these guys a call.

Theresa made an appointment with me to see my sons house I’m selling....never showed up and never called to cancel. I called their office and no call back. Wasted a trip, my time and money. Very unprofessional and rude

This company seems to be pretty aggressive. They went out of their way to get my cell number, left me a voicemail and text, even though I had never reached out to anyone about selling my home.

Highly recommend. They were very professional and did everything they said they would. I sold my house as is, and they paid me what I wanted.
