I’m always nervous about trying out a nail salon that I’m not familiar with but after only a few minutes of walking in, my mind was put at ease. Everyone was so courteous and professional and the atmosphere in general was very pleasant. The shop was very clean, stations were uncluttered and the music selection was perfect! My appointment started exactly at the scheduled time and my tech was ready to get started right away; no fooling around trying to get situated, she was ready to roll! My nail tech was so very sweet and attentive to details, making sure that I was satisfied at several points along the way. The conversation was great and my nails came out beautifully!
I hate to talk badly about any business but this was the worst experience Ive ever had at a nail salon. I left with my nails looking worse than before they were done. The edges are jagged and uneven, the color is splotchy and chipped. During the manicure and pedicure she cut me multiple times and left me bleeding - with no apology. Possibly the worst part is after my pedicure they had another client start hers in the same tub without cleaning it. Do not go here.
Got a manicure cat eye gel shellac and a spa pedicure. Wasnt the cleanest nail salon Ive been to and the woman doing my nails didnt talk to me the entire time I was there. I wouldve liked to had some sort if interaction with the person doing my nails for an hour and a half. Probably wont go back especially considering its 45 mins from me.
This place did a awful job. The manager or possible owner took the time for a do over pedicure it was at a 65 percent. She was very kind...I was very appreciative but my usual salons Ive frequented over the years never had these problems. I use to come to this place years ago and they were exceptional. I will never make the mistake again.
TERRIBLE! Cut my nail soo short it was bleeding. I asked for a design and she said no. When I got back to the car, I realized there was polish on the sides of my toes.
Super nice ladies, I went in here on a whim because my fiancé was getting a massage next door. I got the most expensive pedicure and everything was going well until she cut my big toe with the cuticle trimmers. I was bleeding and everything and she tried her best to stop it but it hurt terribly. The rest of it went fine but my toe still hurts a week later....not sure if I’ll return
I went to get a fill, my nails are pretty long so i keep the acrylic thick so they could be supported. First she thins my acrylic out after i told her not to so it wouldn’t break. She told me it would cost $55, she charged my card $57 and didn’t say anything about the other $2. My thumb nail broke the same night i got them done. I called the next morning to see if i could come in to get the nail fixed. They said no. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE AND shouldn’t be open if they don’t know how to treat people. They need to be shut down.
I called 10 mins before hand to ask if i can come and get my eyebrows done. Over the phone they said yes. I walk in to say I’m getting them done they told me they were book for the rest of the day. There was only 2 people when i walked in there. Never going there again👎🏽
Great pedi, got the one with all the works and Ill go back with my daughters. Best pedi ever
I love getting my manicure and pedicure here. The owner is very nice and the salon is very clean. As an RN, I have also been very pleased with how they are handling the Covid precautions.
Such genuine people! And I got specifically what I asked for! She really took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect! Highly recommend!
I love going here for pedicures. I usually call last minute and they always do their best to get me in. Ive had a few different people do my nails and Ive loved their work!
My favorite nail salon they are really friendly and very professional. Thanks Lynn and team
They always do a great job on my nails and I never have to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. Prices are reasonable and they are friendly. I’ve been to several nail salons in Pittsburgh and I think they are the best I’ve been to.
I felt safe in them taking the proper precautions because of covid. Mary was there for the pedi so it was wonderful per usual. The owner is always very friendly and speaks even when she is taking care of someone which always makes me feel welcome. I was happy to see they were still there. They currently are only taking two people at a time so heads up to call and make an appt
Super nice people except that I feel as though they ripped me and my friend off. I scheduled an appointment 2 days in advance and asked if they could extend my nail and put gel polish on, they lady told me that was their gel acrylic which is $40. I went there and ended up spending $50 because the gel acrylic is different than getting acrylic with gel polish. Would not recommend going
So disappointed! Although my nails turned out awesome, my pedicure was horrible. She did not massage my feet at all, hardly scrubbed them and cut my toe. She filed them so low, lower than i ever like. She rushed my pedicure. It lasted maybe 10 minutes. She also refused for me to pick out my color, she picked it out which was way off from the color of my nails. Come time to pay and the sheet said $30 for pedicure and $35 for regular powder. Well according to her, the regular powder ISNT dip powder its different. So i ended up paying $75 instead of $65. She told me a phony story and said the dip powder isnt on the list cause its new. Then dont do a service you dont have a price for or you tell people..screw this place.
Prices are fair. I usually dont get my nails painted so they give me a pretty great massage. Its clean and they can usually fit me in. Solid local nail place.
This is my favorite place to get my nails done. Their prices are reasonable and they do a great job. They have a good selection of colors as well.
Excellent work. Love my nails!
I called in to request an appointment . I toldthen I could be there in 15 min they didn’t close for another hour $ a half . I showed up within that timeframe and she was closing the shop an hour early ! I asked why they were closing and she acted like she didn’t speak English. Such a waste of time !
Had a pedicure done yesterday with Mary, she is wonderful!!! Place is clean and very friendly staff
Went in to get my manicure done and was really amazed with the services here! Was sitting in the waiting area and I notice how clean this salon is. Also, how the techs here are really sociable and polite. I also, like to point out, I didnt make a appointment here even though its pack and a nail tech walked me to here station. Only waited around 5-10 min. The nail tech working on my nails was really gentle with me throughout the process. Did everything the way I wanted. When she was done, I was just blown away with how beautiful my nails looked! Just love it here! I highly recommend coming here to get your manicure done here!
Mary is magic. A fabulous pedicure, as always. I highly recommend Luxury Nails and especially Mary!
Let me tell you that this place is amazing! From the past till now I can see so much improvement. The gain experience. I really like their decor nice and pleasant to the eyes. The place is super clean and well kept in Luxury Nails. Even though it might feel like your going to have to spend a ton! In reality, the prices is very affordable! Recommend!!!
The staff was very accommodating and professional and everything to make sure I loved my nails. I got a gel manicure and the color selection was amazing and the manicure was perfect. I will definitely go here again.
I left here happy and satisfied last week. They took their time and I a thorough job! I highly suggest this place!
People were very nice. Shop was so clean. Prices about the same as most others.
Love them love them love them
Horrible customer service! Mediocre talent with professional prices. My polish on my hands were poorly done & i was asked to pay upfront which I thought was fine until I saw all the white ladies paying after all their services were done. I was sitting waiting for my nails to dry and was rushed out although no one else was waiting to use the machine..high prices poor work poor customer service. I would not recommend this place for anyone
Love Luxury nails! Have been going monthly for more than a year and have not had a bad experience. Always positive, clean, and friendly! Plus, my mani/pedis last much longer than other salons because Luxury really pays attention to the cuticles.
Great gel manicure and regular pedicure! Yeah service was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. And it was a value; the prices are very reasonable.
I had the worst manicure of my life here. First off, I had an appointment for 4:30, and they finally sat me down at 5:20. A woman came in yelling about her acrylics peeling off after two days. The nail tech proceeded to leave in the middle of doing my gel for twenty minutes to tend to another customer in the back, meanwhile people who had made appointments were coming in every fifteen minutes and there were only three nail techs working. I didnt get out of the salon until 6:45, and the very next day I already had a nail chip. My cuticles were shredded for a week after, and its safe to say Ill never be back.
Took my best friend here for a Mani for her birthday. We were very impressed by the excellent service they provided. I got both shellac for Mani and Pedi and very pleased with the results.
After reading reviews about how exceptional this nail salon was, I decided to try it out for a gel polish change last week. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of service I received and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. I had selected a color from their color wheel of gel polishes and when the nail polish dried it id not match the color I had selected. The nail artists kept making comments about how pretty the color was and I now realize this was because she didnt want me to realize that she didnt choose the color I had selected. Additionally, I had my nails done 6 days ago and HALF of the nails have started to peel. I am extremely displeased and disappointed in the service I received. I would not waste your money at this salon.
My cousin and I went here to get a mani/pedi. Being out of town, I wanted to be sure we were able to get in so I called and made an appointment. However, when we got there, they seemed surprised. Then, we asked for a mani/pedi. They did the pedicure and tried to check us out with out the manicure. On top of that, she did not file my feet very well, and I got cut on both big toes, one thumb and 2 of my fingers. My cousin also got cut on a toe and finger. And, it did not appear they sterilized their tools. My nails do look very nice and we got wine to drink, but I would not recommend going here at all.
Love coming here! So clean, pretty and friendly. They have a large selection of regular and gel polish and serve you a complimentary glass of champagne, mimosa, wine, tea or water. I would recommend making an appointment if you are in a hurry, that way they can do mani and pedi at the same time and get you out in no time!
Very beautiful salon. Always does my nails beautifully💅💅
Staff was extremely rude and disrespectful to me and my four friends who went in to get our nails done. I personally got a gel manicure which is supposed to last at least 2 weeks. Within the first 24 hours two of my nails had already begun peeling. Within the next 3 days they were so awful I had to personally soak off the gel and redo my nails myself. To be completely honest, my normal manicure that I did myself looked better than their gel did. I spent $33 on gel nails that lasted maybe 1/4 of the time that they should have. Out of the 4 people who went, no one was happy with their nails. Everyones chipped and it was blatantly obvious that they rushed through our nails and just didnt do a good job. When we called to tell them about our complaints they at first were not helpful at all. After minutes of telling them that we are college students and dont have the time or money to be wasted on something like this, they finally said that they would redo our nails if we came in any time in the next 2 weeks. We contacted them 5 days after we got our nails done asking if we could come in and get them redone the next day. Phil, one of the workers there who did 1/2 of our nails, rudely told us that we couldnt come in since this was their busy hours and we needed to come in either Tuesday or Wednesday with no exceptions. Us 4 are full time students with jobs of our own and when we told him that neither of these days work we were basically out of luck. They refused the option of a full or partial refund because it was not in their policy, although the owner was the one who made this policy and just didnt want to make an exception. She then put us on hold for 3 minutes where we could hear her screaming and talking about us in the background. In the end Phil got on the phone and ended up saying that he cant talk about this anymore and to either come in Tuesday or Wednesday or not at all and then proceeded to hang up on us. This was extremely unprofessional and rude and I would NEVER recommend going to this salon... unless you enjoy being ripped off and spoken to like a child.
The owner’s mother cut my husband (enough that he bled) when doing his feet and the owner told him it happens he’s fine. Won’t go here again
I absolutely LOVE Phil he makes time for my appointments around my schedule and makes a genuine effort to remember each of his clients. He is always so friendly and personable when I come in. Decent prices compared to other places also.
Don’t go here! Went here because it was the only place open on a Sunday. They reuse everything without cleaning and my toe is currently infected or very irritated from digging under my toe nail on the side.
Today I had Lynn do my nails. I asked her to PLEASE fix them! I had had them done somewhere else and regretted it immensely! She had them looking GREAT and worked hard on them! Even though I dont particularly like the prices (they arent cheap), I will go back. I learned a valuable lesson today. You might have to pay more, but isnt it better than wasting money somewhere else and hating them! Lynn also took great pains to make my nonexistent eyebrows look better too.For the pedicure, I was told to choose the $45.00 type. I will not do that again because I thought there would be more massage, etc. There wasnt. I will get the cheap one from now on. The only difference in the pedi was they used organic lotion which I could care less about. The basic is what I will get from now on. Its only $30, which I think was a fair price for a pedicure. I just need the basic cosmetic treatment done.I will go back here from now on.
Very professional, and very good service
I had a fantastic experience at Luxury Nails. Staff is friendly, salon is very clean, and most importantly my nails look great! I had a gel mani and pedi - I want them perfect, and they are.Recommendations:- Make an appt.- Arrive early. There are so many color choices it takes a moment to look through them all.- Bring cash. You cant add a tip to your card.
AWFUL. Will definitely not go back. Dont bother to make an appt. Had to wait a good 20 min. Incompetent nail tech asked if I wanted my toenails cut shorter, which I did, then she gets the clippers and cut my big toe pretty bad. I was bleeding as I walked out of that business that has no business being in business!
My nails started cracking and peeling THE NEXT DAY! They seemed very rushed. I do not recommend!
Not as clean and sanitary as I would have liked. Would not recommend.
Best salon around. Welcoming, friendly and great service.
Owner lynn has gotten bougie as hell....she will day hello hos r u to white ppl but not blacks..imy money is green jist like theres and then they talk n hineese like i dont no wat they r saying..yep ...i have taken hinees classes..i am fluent n 3 langusges....and lynn always luks like she has attitude...so i have gone natural....she will never get another dime .
Im sorry to the young man who was the only nice person at this place...I write this review with hope that the place gets better. I got a manicure and pedicure with a friend. Upon entry, a woman laying in a massage chair at one end of the room shouts across the room, can I help you? we respond we want to get our nails done. For a few seconds we had no idea who we were talking to. After standing at teh door for maybe ten minutes, an older male finally approcahes us. My friend asks what the price would be of doing a mani-pedi but with gel for here finger nails, the man says an additional $15. She confirms and asks him and repeats $15. then after anotehr 5-10 minutes, some women direct us to the back. Pedicures begin. The pedicures end except the woman who just did my toe nail polish, steps on my feet. She fixes her mistake and then steps on my feet a second time and this point I tell her to just leave it. Now, my friend makes sure to remind her person that she wants gel, then someone says its an additional $18 and she says you said $15, the older man denies it flat out. I ask him again and he says I said $18. Then they proceed to talk in Korean and make my friend pay not, just 18 but 20 extra even before she gets the gel done. Shes the only person in the place that I saw made to pay ahead of time. Mind you there were at least 6-8 other people at the time. Now, what was the problem here? we walked in gym clothes. maybe that. But we work out frequently. The service was poor. We each had cuticles bleeding and for days could not touch water without feeling a sting. I didnt think it was possible for a mani-pedi to be more stressful than helpful
Clean and well kept shop. They do a good job. My only complaint is that the owner is always rude everytime I visit.
I love this salon. They have great service and excellent technicians.
Love it!! Nails and pedi last like no other! Great service too!
I would give them 0 or -1 stars if I could.I went to this nail salon with 4 of my friends, we are all college students, and paid 35+ dollars each for a gel manicure, a fill, and two full sets. Two of us had our nails done by the manager, and two of us by Phil. Before he even started, Phil called me over to the chair, and then decided it was a good idea to leave and walk next store to buy a Mountain Dew while I was in the chair. While doing my nails, Phil made jabs at my personal life, clearly sarcastically saying that it was honorable to be in a committed relationship while in college. After everyone was done, we paid, and the gel manicure already didnt seem correct. Usually the polish feels thick and hard, but her nails looked like it was regular polish. She kindly asked the manager if they would last for 2 weeks because it seemed awfully thin, and the manager reassured her that if they chipped, she could come back and get them fixed for free. The fill was also crooked and uneven. After not even 24 hours, each of us already had chipping, bubbling of the polish, and acrylic starting to peel up. We called the salon right away and explained the situation. Phil, who seemed willing to help, asked us to send him pictures of the issues. We did so, and he claimed he wasnt willing to give us a refund, but if we came back anytime in the next two weeks, he would fix them himself for free. Being full-time busy college students who work, we didnt have time during the normal working week to go back and get them fixed. Last night, when 2 of my friends called Phil to let him know theyd be coming the next day, Phil proceeded to tell them that they couldnt come that day. When we called again today and tried to hold a professional conversation with Phil and then the manager, they were unwilling to work with us and demanded that we either come Tuesday or Wednesday, regardless of our constant reassurance that it wouldnt work for us. The manager then proceeded to argue with us, and then she put the phone down. We could hear her complaining about us to Phil in the background until we hung up. The second time today that we called, Phil claimed they were completely booked on Saturday and were not willing to make us a priority to fix the problem unless he didnt have something else to be doing. For a bunch of college students, we were much more professional than they were and much more willing to work to resolve the issue.
Great pedicures. Ok atmosphere.
We walked in to this place with one person in a chair and she told us they were full.
This is the second time I went and they didnt have my appointment right! I called and said mani/pedi not just pedi! Then got an attitude with me. I will not be going back! Plus they were overbooked at 530pm. My nails look like I did them myself! Horrible experience the last 2 times I was there! Probably wont be going back!
Friendly, welcoming and professional services! Excellent pedicures for men!
When I got home from my meni pedi, I found out that the guy made my nails didnt treat one broken nail ok,although I mentioned that.He just put poor glue on it. Didnt hold even 30 minutes. Bad experience
The place is clean, warm and they do good work. Pricey...but worth it.
Love this nail place! My favorite in the city!
The ugliest nails i have done so far. The technician had no idea what she was doing. ..What a waste of my money.
Rude employees and bad nails. I got gel on my nails and toes and it’s been a week and they are already all chipped. The employees were not friendly. Would not go back.
Excellent service
