We recently used the Secure Data Recovery service on a Toshiba 2 terabyte external hard drive which started having read errors and became unusable back in 2014. We sent a laptop drive to be recovered after a mishap working from home. Company told us 3 days for recovery. After waiting 8 days for the recovery options, the rep stated we would need a list of files to be recovered. We said we couldnt provide a list so the company would provide a list of recoverable files. After 12 days without a list the tech stated that they are still looking at the drive. After 15 days the company became completely unresponsive. We had to speak to a manager before we could get them to send the laptop back. Would not recommend, possibly a scam company now. When my external hard drive crashed, I was in tears!! I am a photographer and had everything edited and out except for half of a wedding... a photographers worst nightmare. I was extremely pleased with the way my representative Frederick Wright handled my case. He did an excellent job of keeping me updated throughout the process and was very knowledgeable about any questions that I had. He was very patient with me and walked me through every step of the process. Having recently retired I was worried about the original price quote. However, Frederick worked with the lab manager to use their services during off-peak business hours which saved me almost 40% of the initial price quote. The lab was able to retrieve about 75% of the data I had on the hard drive which represents an exceptional result for me considering the state of my hard drive when I sent it in. I was floored with the response time I got from Rob when I initially put in my request for a quote/info. I dont know if it was even 10 minutes before I got a call. Rob was very friendly, attentive and answered all of my stupid questions. I sent in my external harddrive and was given a price within a few days I believe. Unfortunately some personal issues came up and the issue with my hard drive was in rough shape, so it wasnt within the budget for me to get it repaired. Ill definitely return to get everything fixed when I have the means to do so.

Such a disaster dealing with these people. they mixed up which hard drive of mine they could recover ( after surprising me with the fact that if I didnt decide to use their services, theyd charge me return shipping!), wouldnt admit to it (even though I repeatedly showed them in the email history.) and ended up with only a discounted price on something i was not able to pay at all . (they asked me what prce i would be comfortable with, and when i named a price said thats too low, after telling me theyd match me)

Mitchell Moore and Secure Data Recovery Services really saved the day. After we were hit by the NotPetya RansomWare attack, including our backup server, we thought all was lost, and were told as much by several IT groups. Not only were the machines un-bootable and the ransom un-payable, the MBR on all drives were toast, so we couldnt do normal data recovery efforts. Enter Secure Data Recovery Services. We sent the drives (Raid arrays) in from two separate servers and the required data (proprietary format/Not encrypted by the virus) was pulled off the un-readable drives! From the data recovered, we were able to restore both servers and loose zero data. Couldnt be happier with the results, or their service. Would recommend them to anyone with tough data problems.

I had back-up on drives at home, but due to business travel followed by family travel I was away for one month. I contacted SDR and within hours received a reassuring and comprehensive email from Alec which clearly articulated the process, including a pre-paid FedEx label to send my laptop to SDRs diagnostic facility. Alec made sure the entire process was easy, reassuring (as so many with an HD problem would appreciate), clear to understand. I never write reviews, so this must be good.I was SUPER skeptical with data recovery services, since I had never used one before. I had lost access to roughly 200gb of client files on an internal SATA drive. I tried several top software recovery apps, but none worked. After doing a little research on them, I contacted SDR. All reviews I had seen were really good, and they have a great rating with the BBB.I decided to move forward, even thought I still wasnt convinced that recovery was possible. I was really concerned that THEIR definition of a successful recovery would be different than mine. I was worried that maybe they would recover only *some* files, or that they would recover all files, but without the folder structure intact. In my case, I absolutely needed the entire folder structure, not just the files.To make a short story even shorter, my rep (Alec Sakenes) guided me through the process, which was fast and straight forward. He assured and REASSURED me that if I wasnt satisfied with the files they recover, that I wouldnt have to pay for it. In the end SDR recovered ALL of my files, in the original folder structure. A happy ending to a sad story. My laptop hard drive crashed and my company IT personnel could offer no solution. I submitted my drive to Secure Data Recoverys local office. I received a phone call (promptly) advising me that the technical personnel were highly confident that my data could be recovered. I was advised of the price and noted that if recovery was not possible there would be no charge. Paul Krouse was my project coordinator and he did a great job in communicating status, requesting information from me, etc. (My drive was McAfee encrypted with floating code of the day security parameters so I needed to provide the information to him). I was travelling during the recovery period from US east coast to west coast and back so often times I was completely off line (airplane) or out of Wi-Fi coverage but Paul was very patient and we were able to complete the recovery. My data was returned on a portable hard drive (~240GB of data) along with my trashed drive. Im missing a few files, due to destroyed sectors on my old drive, but all in all, I am very happy with the outcome. Its not a cheap proposition but how much is your information worth? Secure Data Recovery was price competitive with other services, based on internet searches and input from my company IT department so that is a plus. If you should have this misfortune, I recommend you contact Secure Data Recovery Services!
