Fantastic bikes and service! Just finished 351 miles from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC on the GAP and C&O and couldnt have done it without Golden Triangle. Bike rentals were easy to reserve, equipment was perfect for the terrain, reasonably priced, in great condition, and included everything we needed. The team at GTB was knowledgeable, friendly, and communication was excellent. They provided FAQs and other info that helped us plan the perfect trip. I cant recommend Golden Triangle highly enough.

The trek dual sport 3s we rented were perfectly suited for the GAP. Agency was very flexible and let us add extra seat bags. 10/10 would rent from them again.

I just finished 40 miles of riding the Three Rivers Trails system. I didnt bring my own bikes due to weather and when it cleared up I wanted to ride.I contemplated between getting a bike share, or renting a real bike from Golden Triangle. For $45 with taxes all day hybrid rental you get a real bike, 2 x 9 speed shimano drivetrain and really good tires. They also have higher end bikes as well as electric assist cycles.No regrets. After making reservation and coming to the rental, my bike was ready, it had my name on it and in top shape. They even given me a helmet and a well marked map with highlighted attractions. I had a blast on the bike all over town and zero mechanical problems.What a way to explore the area.

Excellent stress free experience! I reserved the two hybrid bikes online for a 2-hour time slot. The online form asks for riders heights. So I provided how tall we were, not thinking much of it. We pick up the bikes and they were already adjusted for each of our heights - ready to ride! The attention to detail and preparedness wowd me! Both bikes were mechanically sound, no problems with shifting, braking etc.Getting there:Super easy parking garage right next door with low hourly rates.The bike rental location is right off the trail for an easy loop around the river trail and back.The guys running the spot are bike riders and provide great advice on local trails/paths to take.

Four of us showed up on a Sunday around 12:30, not realizing we shouldve made a reservation. They accommodated us, no problem!! Every employee was friendly and so very helpful. The bikes are fantastic, easy to use and have water bottle holders, and they provide bike locks and a fanny pack to carry any items you want to bring with you. We biked a trail, went to Station Square for lunch, biked downtown, went through the Point and along the river. Cost was about $20 per person total for 2 hours...an amazing day!!

Dana and Kelly were fantastic giving us expert advice for our trip, tremendous help planning what to bring and where to stay as well as quality instruction on site when we picked up our bikes. Their attention to details and enthusiasm made our trip a pleasure.

It was nice to find a stand selling Gatorade out in front of the bike shop while riding by.It was not nice to find that she short changed me by $5. I dont believe it was an accident.

Everything about this is perfect, the bikes, location, and employees! Might be more expensive than city bikes, but the headache of those bikes isn’t worth it if you’re trying to have a solid (and safe - these come with helmets) ride around Pittsburgh.

Ted, Tom and the rest of the staff are the GREATEST. We rented mountain bikes and joined Golden Triangle on their weekly Thursday MTB ride at Frick. Ted gave lots of free advice and coaching, and the group was extremely welcoming. The bikes we rented were SWEET too. Weve been tagging along on their group ride for a couple weeks now, and Ted inspired us to do the GAP/C&O trail from DC to Pittsburgh. Golden Triangle tuned up our CX bikes and OMG they look BRAND new. Ted also gave us tons of advice on the GAP trail and he even has a blog post about this too. Highly recommend Golden Triangle for bike rentals, GAP advice, group rides, and bike maintenance!

We had a FABULOUS time riding from Pittsburgh to DC on the GAP / C&O trails with HUGE thank yous to Tom and his crew. From the minute I started communicating with Tom in January, I knew that this was going to be a special life moment. Tom just made everything so easy, from choosing our rental bike, to what B&Bs to stay at, to how long each day would take... it was just SPOT ON! The bikes were great... and if anything happened along the way, Tom was just a phone call away and magically made it right! All the evening stays were wonderful... each in it own way.. and all the suggested lunch and dinner stops were, fun, delicious, and really unforgettable! The whole trip was 1st class all the way. Am I gushing?? Heck YEAH! And why not! All I had to do each day was eat.... ride.... smile.... take pictures... REPEAT! Call TOM to book your own trip of smiles!!

Made online reservations and upon getting there was up and riding within 5 minutes. They helped adjust our bikes and made sure we knew where we were going. Coming back the gentlemen waiting for us was nice and asked us how our ride was. We returned the bikes and left right after. Biking riding rentals should always be this simple and easy. Thanks!

We rented bikes from these guys for 4 days of cycling the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland MD. They are incredibly nice and skilled at seeing you up and fitting you to your bike. Their bikes are in good condition and well cared for (they get new bikes every couple years). The location is in a cool shop under the bridge, nice little coffeeshop nearby, I cant say enough what a nice experience this was. They also do local day rentals.

Thanks for the great service. Stopped in while I was riding by with a broken spoke. Turned out I had 3 broken spokes. The repair person replace all 3 spokes while I waited, and could not have been more helpful.

This is a top-quality operation. Not your average bike rental place.When I decided to plan a trip on one of their tandems, their customer support staff and mechanics went above and beyond to meet our pretty unique needs - helping us find the right bike, speccing it out for our trip, and even accommodating us when we decided last-minute to do a day-long test rental before our longer trip. I came to Pittsburgh on short notice to bike The Greater Allegheny Passage. The people at Golden Triangle got everything together with very little heads up (sorry) and were kind and helpful through the entire process.Toward the end of the first riding day I took a hard fall and wasnt able to continue the trip. One of the guys at Golden Triangle got us in contact with a transportation and even sent some follow up texts to make sure we had everything we needed.I couldnt have asked for a better or more convenient experience and I hope to come back and finish the trail sometime.

They are extremely knowledgeable and were able to perform a safety check on my wifes bike, a vintage 1969s italian racing bike and get it ready for the trails around Pittsburgh. The overall tune up, new brakes & cables and even a Bell and it was ready in a week for her to ride the trails. Pricing was very reasonable

Solid bike that functioned perfectly for a reasonable price. Generous with their stopwatch on the hourly rentals. Right on the trail for easy access. Good maps and they provided any assistance required in adjusting the bike. Great experience for an out-of-towner.

Just completed an 8 day bike trip from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. Golden Triangle provided rental bikes that were perfect for the trails. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The bikes were in top shape and we had no problems. This is the perfect option if you want to do a one-way rental.

I was about to leave Pittsburgh on a tandem bound for DC on the GAP and C&O when I encountered mechanical issues. The people at Golden Triangle made fixing my bike a priority, did an outstanding job and charged very reasonable rates. I would highly recommend them to any cyclist. Thank you!

We are visiting from Texas and got great service on a Friday morning. Performance Trek hybrids worked great. Wonderful trail system that allowed my son and I to see 10 miles in about an hour without getting into any traffic. We may do it again today.
