On January 5th 2021, I was heading to the VA Hospital to take my dad for surgery. After being pushed off the road into a sidewalk by another vehicle, I busted both passenger side tires. I was stranded in the rain at 6 am, completely dark. After finding a ride for my dad, I located Ferras through Google reviews! One call and the driver arrived quickly. They had me back on the road and I was able to be at the hospital before my dad got out of surgery. The kindness of the owner, the driver and staff was incredible. I cant thank them enough. Great work all!

This was an amazing experience. I was visiting the zoo from out of state and my wheel bearing went bad. They fixed it very quickly and charged a very fair price. They are honest and did everything they said they would.

We broke down on the side of the highway on our way home from a road trip! Andrew, our tow truck driver, was very calming and gave lots of suggestions to help us get through that hiccup. A very wonderful person to person experience that is rare these days

The tow driver was very professional and courteous who really seemed concerned for my safety. I would recommend Ferra to everyone.

My spouse and I were stuck on 28 for quite some time waiting on a tow truck to be dispatched thru our insurance. One never showed up. It was getting later in the evening and our battery had ran out of juice and where we were located wasnt a very good spot. Needless to say, an Aspinwall officer showed up, called the tow and immediately within 10 to 15 mins of call, the tow arrived. The only bad thing but totally understand was the price per mile that we had to pay.

We were stuck on the PA Turnpike for 3 hours with a flat tire on our boat trailer. My roadside assistance from our insurance company was a failure! The turnpike commission called this place and they were there ASAP to help us. Thank you so much for helping us get out of traffic and off the turnpike. We appreciate it.

They were called for my road side assistance claim. The driver was very respectful and made sure that I was well taken care of during the tow. The company was very responsive and even called back to follow up during my roadside claim. If you are in need of a tow give these very dependable guys a call. Thanks for the help!

From Michigan we had a flat tire on our open 18 car trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. We called the Turnpike emergency number and they connected us to Ferra Automotive. They were extremely rude and wouldnt help with any information. I then called myself and talked to a lady that extremely rude. she put me on hold mid sentence. I was asking how much the repair would be. She would not give me an estimate of any kind. My question was what if I couldnt afford their price? Another lady got on the phone and gave me the number to a fleet service company.Extremely rude with no compassion or empathy. I hope no one has to deal with this company while on the turnpike. Maybe Pennsylvania should use a different company.This review is from a company that owns a large Tow company in West Michigan.

Tony was great! When other tow company’s said they could not perform the services needed he said he could and he did not hesitate. He was also on time which is great when requiring roadside assistance.

From the dispatcher to the tow truck drivers and the people at desk they are all really difficult to reason and talk to. Find this place not people friendly and they need to learn a thing or two about customer service. If anyone reads this post looking for a good tow company do not! Call this place!!

Amazing service! Brought in my Honda for new brakes. I was able to call at 9:30pm and book an appointment for 8am the next day. The quality of work was fantastic. I asked if my car could be ready by 12:30pm so I could get to work on time and they had it done by 12:15pm. What really stands out about this business is not just a great quality of work but great character of people. They honor their quotes and commitments. I cannot recommend this business enough. I will gladly trust my vehicle with this business again.

I was in a pinch on my way home from Ohio hit some road debris early in the morning and got a flat and I had no spare. Called the turnpike line for towing and Ferras towing service showed up in a very timely matter the driver made sure to handle my vehicle with care and was very nice even considering it was 5 something in the morning. When I got to their shop I waited patiently for it to open with the tow driver. Once they opened the service writer I was working with talked with me right away and got me back on the road ASAP I was very happy with the shop the techs and the towing service if I am ever in that area and need service I will be calling these guys

They will find everything wrong with your vehicle and they will fix it quickly and they are conveniently close to where I live. But they are very expensive.

Needed a jump before work. Called these guys not even 3 mins from my house, charged me $82 for not even a 10 min job, I mean literally. From the time I called the guy to for them jumping my car to sitting back down at his desk took 10 mins. Great service was fast and prompt.. given it’s a block away, but I do appreciate the jump, just not the price.

I will definitely use these guys every time I need assistance. So thankful for amazing customer service these days.

This place, despite its 75 years open, is very very shady. I wish I had posted my review sooner but I was very concerned about doing it, for reasons I will detail below. This story gets very shady.On election night I got towed for parking in a spot that I didnt see was a driveway, and promptly made my way to Ferras. I asked how much it would be to get my car back and was told 275, and i was a bit freaked out so I asked the driver if i would be able to get a cost breakdown, and that I was happy to pay the price that was fair. I simply asked because I knew that within pittsburgh there are limits on what can be charged, but turns out this was outside pittsburgh, and again, I communicated I was happy to pay the price that was charged.The driver called Frank I think and Frank made the shadiest move you can imagine, he told his driver since hes asking all these questions make him pay cash. The door of the building says card is accepted, I am a broke college student on foot in the cold, and the ATM is who knows where and my phone is dying. I am already freaked out, and I suspect frank was capitalizing on this. The driver seemed perfectly nice but Frank is the boss.I called the non emergency police line for an arbitrator and the officer told the driver and Frank that the business claims to take card so you guys should take my payment, and so an agreement was reached. He emphasized that it was QUITE UNFAIR to push me around like that. The weak and unsubstantiated excuse that was given was that I seemed sus about the payment so they wanted cash to ensure they got their money which literally isnt how debit cards work. Sorry Frank, you are just shady.We confirmed that I owned the car and then the officer left and the driver and I went to sort out the payment. Now I found out maybe why they didnt want to show me a breakdown: the storage fee was removed on the invoice for a total of like 230 or something like that, and I believe its because they literally had my car for 90 mins before I arrived.However, lastly, and SHADIEST OF ALL, Frank told his driver to photocopy my license and insurance AND DEBIT CARD. License and insurance, fine. Debit card? That is just classic intimidation and bullying a college kid. I cancelled the card the next day and ensured that the payment would still go through but no further charges could. PNC bank recommended I report them to the PA Attorney General, and I am still considering it. There is no defense for photocopying my method of payment. They had more than enough info to rob my identity, and I am still concerned about that.The driver here I think was a rather kind person who was simply following directions because he needs the job, I dont fault him; it was Frank calling all the shots. Be less shady, Frank. I know towing companies are usually shady but you could choose to be better.

Tow driver showed up quickly, actually knew about my truck and tried a few things to get it started. When that didnt happen he hooked up my big truck and got it towed to my address and managed to park it in a somewhat difficult location that made it easy for me to work on it and get up and running again. Would definitely recommend Ferras for reliable knowledgeable drivers and will use their services again should I run into trouble.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! I was stranded driving through PA a few weeks ago and the people at Ferras were so wonderful. The tow service was super quick, and their services were incredibly reasonably priced. They got my car back to me as soon as possible since I was from out of town, and the whole time they took care of me! Seriously, this crew saved the day when I broke down. They made sure I had a place to stay and literally picked me up and brought me to the shop. I could not have had a better experience. Thank you so, so much guys. I was alone and stressed, and you didnt take advantage of a stressed out young woman away from home (which could have easily happened). Shout out to Ricky (I believe) for being a great tow driver and nice person! You guys are seriously the best. Service above and beyond whats expected. Thank you again!!

They got us a tow very quickly. The driver was very friendly and quick. There was all around great communication.

After waiting for AAA to send me a tow truck l was glad to see the tow truck arrive. I was an hour and a half away from home so really needed help. I was taken to a tire shop and the tow truck driver was excellent. I believe his name was John. I will put your phone number in my contact list so if I am traveling and need help l will know who to call. Thanks for the rescue.

On my way from PA to Fl when my alternator blew. I thought I was gonna be stranded until Monday but was extremely lucky to find this shop. Tom was very helpful and friendly and was able to track down the new part and swap it out in no time. I was very very lucky to find Ferras in a pinch on a Saturday. Excellent service, fair prices, would recommend to anyone.

I had been waiting on the side of the highway for 90 minutes and was getting desperate for help. This other company that my car insurance called was still an hour away. Luckily another company recommended Ferras as they were close by. I had someone help me within ten minutes of calling them. Chad was courteous and extremely helpful. I had a wonderful experience and am grateful for the help. If I need roadside assistance close to my home, Ill call them right away. Thank you for saving my day!

(I unfortunately did not get his name).I will agree that the front office woman does seem rather prickly. As someone who worked in almost exclusively customer service I was almost shocked at what she said over the phone (to other customers. Our interactions were brief and completely fine). However, as someone who has worked in almost exclusively customer service I cannot help but be impressed that she stands up for herself!Enjoyable experience over all. Turned a day that I expected to be well ever $200 to one just over $60. Thank you for your prompt service, especially just two days after Christmas.

Our school needed a car for our telethon fundraiser and Mr. Ferra was able to provide one with almost no notice. Mr. Ferra was very kind throughout the process and did everything he could to help us raise money for the local library. Cannot express how grateful I am, would definitely recommend.

They are a honest, reputable and fair Towing & Repair facility that has been in the same location as far back as I can remember . I am a mover and utilize heavy commercial trucks in my business. At 10pm, my crew got stuck on a snow packed driveway and I took a stab in the dark and called Ferras for a tow. I didnt know what to expect because the last time I needed towing service, the company took advantage of us. Ferras dispatcher was very professional and fully transparent with the pricing and potential costs. The tow crew arrived within 15 minutes, had my crew on their way in no time and the price was what I expected. I will use this company from now on and recommend it to everyone I know.

The people in the storage lot were helpful and the older mechanics were very knowledgeable, but the woman at the front desk and one of the mechanics, in particular (didnt catch a name), were VERY dismissive. The woman at the front desk always seems to be having a really bad day. Interesting that the front face of this company seemed to have the least regard for customer service.

7 ONE STAR REVIEWS OUT OF 24. Do not use!!!! WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER. Over priced. Poor work. HAD CAR FOR 24 hours for an inspection and still didn’t start it. I asked can I get it back today service manager said, “no”. I asked to talk to the general manager and he said no and put me on hold. I had to call back. When I complained to the general manager he told me “We have enough repeat costumers. We’ve been here for a long time. We don’t need new ones.”

I called to have one of my small box trucks towed from my shop ( which is appx 5 miles away from their shop ) and tow the truck 1/4 mile from my shop ) they charged me 425.00 - I usually pay between 150.00 and 175.00 for previous tows. I didnt even think to ask Ferra’s for a price because we always pay between 150.00 and 175.00. My regular tow driver didn’t return my call this morning so we went with Ferra’s. That will be the first and last time I use this overpriced company.I am a small business owner and I know numbers. Round trip, they could not have had more than an hour into it. They charge 175.00 / hour. for a truck and a driver. Fine. There is no way to justify the additional 250.00 they charged me.I will be very curious as the owner seems to respond to every review. Simply put 425.00 is gouging for an hours time and a truck. Period. I have 10 vehicles with constant mechanical problems, and I know what rates are fair and what are aren’t.If they make this right, I will post the outcome and take down my Facebook post - and tell everyone that they made it right - if they don’t, I will continue to spread the news about them to all of the other small business owners I know as well as the other 20 people that work for me, and everyone they know.I hope they do the right thing - if not, shame on me for not getting a price up front !!

The front desk woman is RUDE! Terrible customer service! The company is a RIPOFF, they charged me 550 for an 14 mile accident tow. (including 150 for Dollies and 75 for winching? ) The daily storage fee is $50 which is much more expensive than I expected. Just stay away from this company!!!

Why do you guys cost so much money for items I can get off a auto zone like $1100 dollars just for struts and bar and then 300$ for a tire like these prices are too high
