I lived here for 17 months and I strongly NOT recommend this place if you ever want a nice experience of moving out without being charged for extra money. To be a smart tenant, anyone considers this place should take pictures EVERYWHERE while you move in. Yes, EVERYWHERE. I missed the part of unnoticeable, at least for me while I moved in, stains on the carpets. I did took pictures of other parts like bad conditioned kitchen, doors, and bathroom. Those parts were not in the best condition so I just ignored the carpets, which was in a better condition relatively speaking. There were some normal stains on it and I didnt notice them until I moved in and lived there some time. (I am 100% sure it was not because of me.) Even some of them I didnt notice until I got the bill from them after I moved out.For anyone even consider this place, make sure you take pictures EVERYWHERE, literally, even if you think it looks normal. You probably would get charged for something that you didnt think of. Best of luck for any future or current tenants. It was just too late for me. I hoped I got the warning while I chose this place in the first place. Yeah I am being charged for 600+ just for three pictures of stains on the carpets. Two of them I didnt notice while I lived there. What an eve for the inspector. NICE JOB!

I paid my rent in advance before I moved out, they claimed I didn’t and now charged me with a late fee months after I left. First of all definitely not worth the $945 for a one bedroom. There was no ac the bedroom so it was hot 24/7, loud neighbors stomping around and kids screaming, my mailbox lock was randomly broken when I went to go check my mail, and the staff was not the best. I wish everyone the best when they try and live there, maybe their newly fix apartments are better but for the 3000 building hold your breath.

I enjoy living at West Point. I think it has come along way and is aggressively continuing to get better. Awesome place with awesome amenities in a great location just outside the city.

I recently toured a two bedroom apartment. The apartment looked nothing like the pictures. All of the appliances were old, apartment smelled and everything just looked dirty. I wouldn’t wash my clothes or wash my dishes with their dirty old appliances. Hawthorne is the same price with much nicer appliances and the building doesn’t look like it needs condemned.

There was a fire last night, woke me up out of my sleep with that ear piercing alarm, I am glad and angry at the same time, At least I actually came out the apartment on time. Too many fires keep happening. I dont even have running water this morning and I dont know why. They took out the basketball hoops for soccer. I PLAYED BASKETBALL A LOT. Now almost nobody uses the court. Just seems useless. They got rid of the trees in the back of 3000. Its hot, I miss seeing the squirrels. My dog misses eating the leaves. 3/5 its disappointing

These guys are cheaters, they gave me a clear notice after final check up confirming that the apartment is in good shape and later sent me a bill of 450$ stating they changed the carpet because there was a half inch stain. And when I asked them the original bill from the shop where they got the carpet, they never shared one and they sent my account to collections which brought me lot of trouble. DO NOT CHOOSE THEM, I SUFFERED A LOT .

Im a current resident. There have been a few noticable (outside) upgrades within the complex, but changes need to be made inside of the buildings. The carpets need replaced or atleast scrubbed and cleaned, in the hallways. It smells horrible. There also needs to be an exterminator to control the gnats and other bugs that are constantly crawling around. Theres just so many things wrong and unfair, for the prices that we pay in rent.

My first time seeing where my son was living while going to college, I honestly expected it to be a bit bigger and nicer but it is what it is, living room is not very big and the kitchen is quite small, not sure if there was construction going on but it appeared so, if not the hallways need some serious cleaning! Very small though considering the number of students in an apartment! The toilet needed fixed and my son said someone was coming to fix it! Location is great though!

I did a viewing here awhile back. Honestly the manager at the time seemed really helpful and talked a lot about positive improvements to the complex. The building the unit I saw was in was pretty outdated and there was the faint smell of mildew and what smelled like floral air freshener in the hallways. However the apartment itself was odorless, fairly large and very well lit.

Rent is horrendously overpriced for the space, as well as the management quality. And do you want privacy? Well you dont get much of it because they will barge into your house and room as often as they want. The smell is almost always something putrid in the common areas as well, so thats definitely a negative.

Don’t live here! 1000 was recently on fire due to electric wiring that hasn’t been serviced in years. 2000 is covered in mold. 3000 was infested with bugs. Rent is really high and don’t bother calling the land lord she doesn’t care she blames everything on how old these buildings are. MOORE Management needs to knock down these old buildings and build new ones. Everything is old, broken, dirty and covered in mold. Stay away from Westpointe!!!

Absolutely the worst place to live in the area. I would rather rent a room in sewer, it would probably smell better than the hallways. Maintenance is a joke. What a dumpster fire.

From stained hallways to bug infested apartments there’s nothing good to say. Even if you have a problem and talk to someone about fixing it, it will take 3-4 months to fix it if it even gets done. After not having a working toilet in my bathroom for a week they also left a bird skeleton in my sink and there’s still a hole in my wall after multiple “fixes”. My dishwasher had exposed wires under it for 2 months and I had to report it multiple times.

I was really worried when I moved into these apartments basing that fear on the conditions of the complex. Overall, it was not as bad as thought but I wouldnt live here again.Pros: Lots of parking, the office staff are overall nice, maintenance men are nice and do try their best to help you. For the area the apt is affordable but you get what you pay for. It has a convenient location and the mall is literally right next door.Cons: If you do not like college kids then you might not want to live here. One whole building is for them and they cause quite the ruckus. The buildings are old and expect dated problems. The hallways smell bad and the hallway carpet was gross. There is very little privacy as your front door is hollow and you can hear (and yourself be heard) by neighbors. To me, the worst part about this place is the laundry. You must watch it like a hawk! I stepped out to get my mail and came back to someone stealing my clothes! Fortunately, I thwarted that and the man ran off. And Ive heard the horror stories from other tenants about stolen laundry. There is a table and chair and I would sit there and read when possible to make sure no one stole my things or anyone elses.

Lived there 4years and have watched the place continue to decline. You can literally see and smell the mildew and mold in some ceiling tiles due to pipe leaks throughout the building. Hallway carpets and wallpaper need replacing. Laundry room is almost always in a deplore state. Trash left in mailroom. People doing major car repairs in the parking lot to include swapping of engines, and dropping transmissions out of trucks, and God forbid if it snows and you need to get out quickly. I could continue to type but its too much to list.

Many things can be sad about this place none of them very good the hallways smell there’s trash everywhere throughout the building stains in the carpet peeling wallpaper burnt out lightbulbs and the worst maintenance man you could ever think of that is too busy trying to get cars that are being worked on towed then fixing the things that are actually wrong with the building also think personally it is overpriced for location and what you get... this place needs a face lift bad:(

Each hallway smells different. Some smell like cat pee others smell like feces and some smell like throw up. There is garbage piled up under the stairwells among other places and nothing is being done about it. Their new maintenance man is also too busy trying to get cars towed away that have been out of inspection for maybe a month because they are “not in proper condition” that he can’t even do his job. Half of the lights don’t work in the building among several other issues. And on top of all that they do not let you work on your car there whatsoever so for anybody wanting to do even an oil change do not stay here. If you attempt it they will tow your vehicle.

Slum lords. The hallways smell and literally have dog poop in them. The building is infested with mold and insects. Maintenance is a joke. Now I know management is going to respond to this with some phone number, but that is not going to fix the problem. Fix your buildings or get new management.

I tried to rent an apartment there and they couldnt even give me a price to rent. Id like to mention that the time frame was acceptable but they couldnt give me a price until I moved in. While looking around, the whole building was an eye sore and the hallways smelt terrible. The only benefit to this building is their location.

Doing laundry is more of a robbery. One dryer doesnt dry as well, so you have to spend more than the usual 1.50 to dry it. You also have to make do with others using the two dryers, two washers. Be wary that there are some neighbors who just leave their laundry in there forever. There is no such thing as walls in these apartments, they are so thin. Air vents for the kitchen dont work, so you have to keep turning off the fire alarm.

The location is good for our daughter attending PTC. This is mostly for PTC students. They are close to places students can find work they can walk to. The apartments need a great deal of work. The carpeting is old, the air conditioners and heating runs dont get cleaned. They have a pest problem they dont address. It took at least 3 weeks for them to fix whatever was wrong with the garbage chute. The hallway smelled disgusting because of all the garbage backed up in that room. The appliances barely work, and look like they are from 1985.

Review №41

Horrible place for students to live, PTC doesnt keep up maintenance in the 1000 building. At this moment there is a sewage leak as well as a blown out pipe on the ground (T) level of the building. There was one on the other side and the water was left until mold formed and there is still enough mold in the walls and on the floors to have the complex shut down. The school couldnt care less and why should they since it isnt their building to worry about. Security is so bad that I was let in to a room that wasnt mine without any questions or even a show of ID (and my $1,300 work laptop was on the table of the apartment) I hope that the owners of the building see this and renegotiate their terms with PTC before someone decides to find something to make a lawsuit out of such as the mold, crooked cabinets (girlfriend has OCD so that is a big deal) and dishwashers falling out of the counter. I cant express in a single review how disgusted and disappointed I am with the living conditions of the residents and the students at 1000 Westpointe.

First of all, its an apartment complex. Theyre not family. Theyre in for the profit.I lived here from October 2002-March 2005. We had rats running the hallways. The carpets were worn. The planes from the airport buz right head. The hill to the complex is impassible when it snows. Nobody repairs the washers and dryers. I got so frustrated losing quarters that I posted a map showing which ones worked and did not. I dropped the map in the office mail box. The landlord tore it down the map I posted, twice. Then, she warned anyone who did the same would be in trouble. I kept at it for 3 months.I did get my deposit back. In general, the place wasnt the worst one I ever lived in. I kept the rats in control by putting my dried goods in a trash bucket in the room.

Stop fixing the outside of the buildings and start fixing the inside of the buildings. Fix the water. I have lived here for four years and at least once a week there’s no water. Also fix the mold inside the buildings and stop worrying about getting a dog park. There’s bigger issues that need fixed first.
