I had such a pleasant and unexpected experience at this barber shop. I went in for two kid hair cuts because a friend mentioned they give a good cut for kids. Tino and Nicole were amazing!! Yes they gave the kids great cuts but they also convinced me to get a cut (I’ve been going to the same place for years until moving here recently) while I was nervously getting my hair cut on a whim they entertained my kids and showed them all their cool remote control cars and other fun things they had in the shop. Again, all great but can I just say I just got one of the best cuts I’ve had in my adult life!! I’ve received tons of compliments and she just did a really good job! Totally unexpected experience, in the best way possible, especially after paying way too much for mediocre cuts. I highly recommend this little gem of a barber shop 💎

Said it opened at 9 am, I showed up at 9 am and tried to enter, the door was locked. I saw someone inside, so i waited the three minutes to open. The guy asked if I know how a business is open or not? I said wat....and he said you can tell by the sign. I said i was going by the hours of operation sign. He said oh, so i was 10 seconds late? I said its three after nine, but whatever. He had another rude comment.....so I just walked out. I dont need to be berated by old grumpy man. The first words out of his mouth should have been......im sorry im late. THE END. This place wont be in busy long with that attitude towards customers.

Never knew about this spot.. Came in just before closing time on a saturday. Homie still seated me in a chair, did his thing, and with a quickness from a mop on my head to a mas Firme slick back fade.. Clean fast legit..got a new customer for sure. Gracias

I have always wanted to go to a barber to get my short hair cut. I would never think to go there to get my hair colored. I spent a lot of time next door at Golden Donuts with Christine. She introduced me to Nicole who works with her Dad at Oak Park Barber Shop. I told her I had an appointment the next day to color my hair. Nicole said I can do it for less. What she didnt say was that she was an expert colorist. Expert!I have been coloring my hair for decades. This is the first time, that when I look in the mirror, I lean in and admire it...like it is a work of art.Thank you Nicole.
