Bad service. They dont communicate or give regular updates as to whats wrong with vehicle. Had my vehicle towed there and they told me they would work on it the next day. A week later, they still had my vehicle. I had to call them a couple of times to see what was going on with it, as they never called me to keep me updated. Very bad customer service. Theres a reason their oil changes are so cheap. Its the only thing they got right.

Wonderful place. They restored my headlights to new. He said they do that for customers all the time usually free of charge. He finished mine and said I owed him nothing. Really awesome place they won my business

This place closed up shop without any phone calls to Customers. Went by Today to check on My vehicle, & the Property Owner had His crew cleaning up the mess left behind by Ken’s. Vehicles left are being towed to junk yards. My keys were not on premise, luckily I had a spare set, & had a Neighbor drove it home for Me. I payed for work, which wasn’t done.

DO NOT TRY TO USE A GROUPON DISCOUNT HERE!!! We purchased 2 oil changes on Groupon last Christmas (2019). We tried to use them in March (2020) and were told because of Covid they would not accept them and to come back in May. We tried again and were told they still were not accepting discount oil changes. Groupon extended the vouchers for a year so we waited. This January we called and were told they were accepting Groupon vouchers and no appointments are needed. When we showed up they said they were out of standard oil but we could pay for the more expensive kind if we wanted the service done. Obviously they do not feel our business was worth having. We contacted Groupon and got a refund.

Had a few great experiences here so far! Just a couple oil changes at first, which were inexpensive and very fast, under 10 minute but this last visit I needed valve cover seals replaced, as well as a synthetic oil change. So, I got a great deal price wise and Im very happy with the work that was done. It took about 2 hours total which is pretty quick considering. The owner, Mike, is a real nice guy, even offered to pay for my Uber home while I waited. It was a nice offer but I didnt accept since I was already getting a good deal and lived fairly close. I will definitely be returning and recommend others if youre looking for a place that is honest and reliable, as well as fairly priced!

I went here to try and get my tire pumped up after putting on my rim, I couldnt get it to seat on the rim. The owner himself was there at 8am on Sun morning and he got it to seat for me, I asked him if I could give him some money for his time and effort but he refused. He said to me; its not always about money brother have a good day ! From now on Ill take my vehicles there for anything I need done, really nice man! He totallyhas my respect.

The Guys at Kens Tire and Oil Change totally took care of me. They greeted me right when I pulled up and before I knew it my car was being worked on. I came in for a flat tire repair and ended up getting a tire rotation and an oil change as well. I was in and out in no time. The staff is super friendly and the service was top notch and affordable. Wow this place is incredible! Easily the best and most affordable shop Ive ever been to. I got a full synthetic oil change, and front brake pads for less than what most places charge just for break pads. This is the first time Ive done my front brake pads on this car, but Ive had many oil changes and Kens does it for half.of what most places charge. I can’t praise Ken’s enough. I brought my boyfriends truck here a few months ago to get the brakes done. They charged SIGNIFICANTLY less than the chain shops. Then a few days ago I started having a few issues with my brakes on my car and again, Ken’s charged me MUCH less and did an amazing job. The guys that work at the shop are so nice and I didn’t feel ripped off or taken advantage of after leaving like I do at most car shops. I won’t take my car anywhere else. And if you need any work done on your vehicle give Ken’s a call!

This was very happy with the service and pricing that I recd! This is a small independent business providing quick, convenient affordable service. I called to see if they take walk ins or need an appointment. Either is fine. I stopped after work about 5:20 and was on my way home by approximately 5:35. I will definitely go back there. That works for me because I dread sitting and waiting an hour or more especially when I have an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised!

AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!!! Read all the other reviews here first & you will see a consistent theme of poor business practices. ***Took my Mazda 6 for a simple oil change and within 2 days the engine stopped running (blown engine). Had it towed to Mazda dealership and found they put transmission fluid in my engine instead of oil. Caused a complete meltdown of the engine internals. Because I paid cash for the oil change & failed to get a receipt for the service I had no legal recourse***. How on earth does this happen!? Furthermore, you fail to take any responsibility for what YOUR employee did! Didnt even care at ALL!! I would stay away at all costs! These guys are no good! You have been warned....

Went in to have a new tire mounted on Monday, 08-03-2020. There was no experienced technician on-site, only 2 younger guys. They werent answering the shop phone and they were sitting around on their cells. The real concern was my tire. The tire was picked up from another place, in a personal vehicle. The kids are made aware that I had to go to Lutz by 16:00 so, they mounted the tire on the room and slammed the lugs down as much as possible with an air wrench, instead of using a torque wrench. Mind you, my truck 21 years old, along with the original wheel hubs and bolts. So, I drove the truck to Lutz and back with my entire truck shaking, as if the tire is ready to fall off. THEY DIDNT EVEN BALANCE THE TIRE! So, I stopped back in, on the way home, and asked then to rebalance the tire. About 15 minutes later, the boy comes back to the front to inform me that they didnt even have weights to balance it!! They charged me $101 to perform an incomplete service, when I couldve went anywhere else to have it done PROPERLY and it wouldve still been cheaper! If I could select zero it would be. 0/5 rating. Pathetic.

SCAM, Do not trust what they say. Stay away. Went in for brake pads, they tried to sell us stuff we not only didnt need, but didnt even do what they claimed to have performed. Never again. Only returned because brakes made loud noise after leaving, they had bent the clip to brake pad.Mechanic has since been laid off. Maybe youll have a better experience, owner seems nice enough, but we will never return.

The first time I went there was for an oil change and he very fast and even out freon in for me. And just recently I was in an accident, and the girl that hit me, had no insurance, and no drivers license. YES! This place! The man at the counter was alive, energetic, ready to work and in a good mood. I had a good feeling from the first impression and then the experience got even better. I sat down as he went out to look at my car and the lady next to me says, “I’m getting my tires changed right now, trust me you are in the right place, my mom and I have been coming here for years, he does a really good job and his prices are very low.” This made me feel more at ease since people are usually more inclined to complain out loud than to compliment.The mechanic came back in, told me what I needed, gave me a quote, I accepted and they got started. 20 minutes later he asked me about the big dent in my bumper, I explained my daughter just got her learners permit and backed in to another car and he said, “you want me to take that dent out, I won’t charge you”, OK! How could I say no? He didn’t have to notice the dent and he didn’t have to offer to remove it for free. That’s what sets good auto places apart from all the others. Friendly, Attention to detail, going above and beyond for customers. I’m definitely going to recommend this place to everyone.

They are not accepting groupon anymore even though they still have available deals on there. Also, manager claimed that it’s “not Kens tire anymore” yet name on all signage and receipt says kens tire so you be the judge lol - very unprofessional.

My first time for an oil change At kens. Mike had no problem showing me how its done. when I saw him going beneath my car. I was very surprised because the previous place I was going for several years never did that. Mike told me I have to drain the old oil first. He allowed me to see the very dark oil coming out. The other place had been ripping me off just filling up on top of the old oil!!. Mike just said Im going to take care of you the right way. I was so relieved! I got the oil change and all the fluids checked and filled up and I was ready to go in no time. Im a very happy and satisfied customer, Kens will be my Go TO place for my car maintenance for sure!

Tried this place out because of all the raving reviews. First impression: small shop, very limited parking. Requested an oil change, tire rotation and brake check. Was in and out within 10 minutes. Would give 5 stars for speed, but everything else was lacking. There are no prices posted, so my charges were a surprise. I didnt get any itemized billing receipt, just a credit card slip, which is no help to those of us who keep detailed auto maintenance records. I had to ask about the status of my brakes and have no idea if my tire pressure was checked. Driving home, I noticed the digital info panel hadnt reset to indicate 100% oil life. Its always been reset after any other oil change Ive had, I just thought it happened automatically . Now I have to go back to get that taken care of. If youre in a rush for an oil change, this is your place. If you appreciate attention to detail and communication, look elsewhere.

BEWARE!! Car leaks oil 3 days after after oil change! Took car back to be checked, was told whoever changed it the last time stripped the drain plug and put silicone on it. The tech didnt tell me about the silicone until I brought it back for the leak.Had bought a Groupon to be used, they didnt want to honor it but then agreed to take it. Also took a picture of oil on my carport floor, doesnt look like new oil was put in.

I always come here to get my oil changed. The owner is very polite, knowledgeable, and is a straight shooter. As a person who doesnt know anything about cars I feel comfortable coming here because I am not being pressed to buy nor do anything extra.

Please take my advice and never take your car to this business. I purchased an after market warranty from the owner in January of this years for 2 of my vehicles. It is now the end of October and although Mike and Kens Tire have been paid I still have 2 cars that need to be repaired. His tow driver picked up my BMW in February. I still have yet to drive the car this year and today is 10/25. I have been patient but completely unacceptable! This has cost me money on multiple occassions throughout the year. The plan was to get the BMW fixed so he can work on my daily driver, but daily driver still in need of repairs 8 months later.

I came in for the $18 living social oil change deal. Got me right in as I drove up. When it was time to check out it came to $53.99 because my vehicle uses synthetic... they immediately gave me the deal with no fuss as the coupon didnt specify oil type. I will definitely use them again. Fast, courteous and efficient.

My daughter and I took her Audi there for overheating. Owner said it needed all new Audi hoses. He had it a week. He used zip ties on the hosesto move them apart ! Afterwards it continued to overheat every week. I kept taking it back because he had so much of our money already. He kept it 4-5 days every time. He is a flimflammer, always being so nice but couldnt or wouldnt fix it. More money, this will fix it, then next week something else. This workers are great and apologetic, they do what they are told.

This place is the best around I went to a transmission place to check my car and they told me I need a transmission for $2700 then I went here and they told me that it just needed a tune up for $180, and now my car runs perfect. Ill definitely be back there.

Would the owner please reply if you own the car wash adjacent to your shop before I do a review?OK I posted this 3 days ago and no reply. Fair enough. If anyone wants to make their car filthier than it was before they used the car wash adjacent to Kens Tire you are in the right place. The wand did not work, the spot free rinse was the only pressurized option and it was 1/2 wax. The exit to the self serve bays is blocked by a bunch of parked cars. I got home and my car looked like I used filthy water from a pond to wash it. Never again. And if the same owner owns both of them as I suspect, I would not trust their mechanical aptitude to work on a paper airplane.

Went here for the first time and got an oil change after paying for it via Groupon. The guys were very nice, and it seemed like we were in and out of there very quickly. Not only was the service quick, but they also offer a free self car wash after they service your vehicle. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

I was forced to tow the car to my personal mechanic, who soon confirmed that the car had a lot more problems than I was led to believe. First, the car sold to me ended up being a 2003 Audi, instead of the 2004 model that Mike advertised. Second, Mike who own’s and operates his shop as a mechanic would have and should have known the car I purchased already had a blown head-gasket, a faulty clutch and dysfunctional all-wheel drive transmission, just to mention a few. My mechanic eventually quoted me at a whopping minimum of $4,800 plus any other needed repairs on the car I had just been fraudulently sold. Staff was very hospitable and took me in as a walkin right away. Offered 4,000 mile synthetic blend for 30.00 and 6,000 mile full synthetic for 50.00. Nonsynthetic oil is much cheaper. Filled my tires and were 15 min or less. Could be more cleanly with less junk in the back, but make up for their friendliness

Went in for a oil change as I was leaving the owner noticed my headlights. (I didnt drive at night because I could never see) He took it upon himself to spray something on them and make them look like new.. He is my hero.

Mike and Ken earned my business. Ive lived in 4 cities in the last few years and always struggled finding a reliable mechanic. But these guys took care of me from the first visit. They didnt try to upsell me once, thank you. I only went in for an oil change and brake rotors but I came out with a reliable shop who I will be relying on in the future.

They found out my engine was blown... And when i contacted my dealership they lied and said that i didnt have a recall but i did. Nevertheless I didnt have to come outta pocket for a new motor thanks to Kens tire

This place is seriously not worth taking your car to get oil change it’s a joke I was wondering why they do it so fast and quick and then last night my oil light comes on in the car so I take it to my mechanic this morning and he asks me who changed your oil I said ken and tire on 66 th and he said that they didn’t twist the oil filter good and that’s where it was leaking from wow never going there again my whole car could of died out on me that place is a joke do not recommend and there workers are a joke get some real mechanics in there not a joke I wond bring a penny more to you guys

Bought the groupon for oil change for my car, have gone 3 times to get the oil changed and every time I have gone I have been told to come back at a different time like they didn’t want to change my oil. They were doing nothing, no cars in the bay no one fixing a car off to the side. Will not be coming back. Don’t buy the groupon they will just keep telling you to come back at another time, I don’t have another time later that day I’m here now.

I went here for an oil change and they forgot to put the oil cap back on. I was driving around for maybe 2 weeks before my car completely shut down. I went to the mechanics to see what was wrong and they said my car had absolutely no oil in it because the oil cap was missing.

Update:I DID like them. Ok, so you didnt put the wheel center hub on right and it fell off after a tire rotation ($50 buck replacement) and màybe the AC needed more than a charge. But for the love of God how stupid do you think your customers are that you say you can SEE an AC coolant leak. No vac down, as promised, no dye added. Nadda. Ripped me off!!! You used no diàgnostic tools like a sniffer or UV dye. No caps on my AC ports. You even broke one that did NOT have a leak before your manifold line got stuck on it. I had that checked before I can to you!Brake job spongey because now after the pads you say I needed rotors. Untrue. You had air in the line. But back to the AC... $280 for parts that NONE show leaks. None!I will never spend another dime there. Never!Save your money people. He talks a good game but you will be worse off than when you started!
