From start to finish, they were professional, caring, thoughtful and supportive. We cant imagine going through this experience without their tender care. As a family, we never felt rushed to make decisions and were provided thoughtful recommendations, when we asked for them.The continuing care organizer they provided has been helpful in taking care of communications necessary after a person passes away. Rick and Conner couldn’t have been more helpful to the family at this sad time. When our son passed away in March 2021, the Medical Examiner asked where we wanted him to take our son’s remains. We could hardly think straight at the time, and even though we didn’t know the name of the establishment, we knew there was a funeral home not too far down the road. Thinking back, I’m truly glad we couldn’t think of another funeral home because Dwayne R Spence Funeral Home has turned out to be a godsend. They provided the exact services we requested. They didn’t try to upsell us, providing only those products and services that were absolutely necessary. And they did it with such compassion.

Dwayne R. Spence Funeral home is top notch. They handled everything for me after my husband’s passing, and they were caring and professional. They will not up sell you, yet will make suggestions and help you while you are emotionally distraught and not thinking clearly. Because his death happened during Covid we could not have a public service, but we plan to have one next year and will definitely use Spence Funeral Home again to help with a Firefighter Celebration of Life.

The people who work here are more than efficient, they bend over backwards to make everything you need happen . They make a hard time so easy, from beginning to end they were so pleasant to work with and really treat you with care . This was the easiest part of dealing with an unpleasant situation. And then when it’s all over the contact you again to make sure your doing ok and there isn’t anything else that you need, so personal .

Jeff and his staff worked quietly behind the scene making my husbands funeral run smoothly and well done. Their experience and caring demeanor helped me deal with the details required during this time. The literature given to me afterwards has been especially useful. The folder with pictures of the floral gifts with the donors name was helpful and will be kept. One of the pamphlets was about Legacy jewelry and I now wear the fingerprint ring. Its a very lovely and meaningful keepsake. I credit Spence for being able to have this special ring!
