I am very experienced with appliance extended warranty companies. NSI is the best one that I have ever dealt with. Claims can be entered online with no human interaction. Technicians know the appliances well and have always been able to resolve issues with minimal disruption.
Bought a Frigidaire oven in July 2018 along with his extended warranty. In less than 3 years the handle came off the oven door. NSI protection plus takes no responsibility for the handle falling off. The manufacturer or extended warranty people dont care if its falling apart, as long as it works. You might want to consider purchasing other brands and skipping coverage from NSI Protection Plus.
I bought a five year warranty on my couch for re-upholstery, which I was told for any reason. I have just called SIX TIMES, every time they take the info, and refer me to make a claim they instantly HANG UP ON ME !!! I then called twice more and they would not answer the call !! NEVER EVER buy a warranty from this company. I am reporting them to the attorney general for fraud !
I purchased extended warranty for the refrigerator. Waste of $$.Chronically late. Misleading information. Very scammy extended warranty service.DO NOT purchase their extended warranties. It is WASTE of $$$. Rather just pay out of pocket and get it fixed.
I purchased over $10,000 worth of appliances from Electronic Express in Decatur, AL when we built our house a couple years ago. We also purchased the extended warranty from NSI Protection Plus. My 2 year old $2,000 Frigidaire Professional Freezer went out on Saturday. I lost about $750 worth of food. I called NSI and they said someone would call me. After a couple hours I called them back to get the repair guys number. I called him and he informed me that he did not work on appliances that he did not sell. I called NSI back they said they would call the service center. Tuesday, 4 days later I called back. Still no one had been identified to fix my freezer. I asked to speak to a supervisor, after about 20 minutes I was told someone would call me later. No one did. I called back Wednesday afternoon and asked to talk to a supervisor. After about 20 minutes they said no one was available that they would call me later. I waited til about 5 pm and called back because I had not received a call. I finally got to talk to a supervisor. I explained everything again. He told me that he would raise it to their highest level but unfortunately I would have to wait another 3 to 5 business days. That will be Tuesday, 11 days with no freezer. This is totally unacceptable and worthless.
ZERO STARS. A scam company with supervisors who hang up on customers. It has been a month since we filed our claim and our refrigerator is still non functional. NSI contracts a company three hours from where I live and that company contracts a local repairman. Communication between the three is nonexistent. I took today off work because I was GUARANTEED the parts would arrive for the repairman to finally fix the issue today. NO PARTS. Again, I called NSI, asked to speak with a supervisor. Lauren (the supervisor) came on the line and HUNG UP ON ME when I said, Tell me exactly what steps you are going to take to resolve this issue. We are calling our attorney. Enough.
They are not truthful about what they have done to process a claim. They consistently hang up before you are even able to speak with someone. It took me 10 phone calls to get an appointment with a service provider to fix our fridge. UPDATE: 15 calls in 5 days and still no service on our fridge! Two of the calls lasted over an hour (most of the time on hold). The service company finally received a claim number just before 4 pm on 7/17 that was promptly followed by a cancellation of the claim. This company is such a sham! What a disgrace to the customer service industry.
This warranty company is a scam. They dont honor their warranty. They outsource to 3rd rate repair shops and when you call for a status, they route you around and ultimately hang up the phone. Ive wasted weeks trying to get my fridge repaired and nothing. Its one excuse after another. This company should be ashamed of themselves how they operate. Do not buy their warranty and avoid them at all costs.
Horrible to work with will drag their feet at evert turn rather than directly assisting you with your issue.
Apperently they own the extended 5 year appliance contract I was encouraged to buy when purchasing the appliances. Poor and disjointed service thoughout.
I mistakenly bought an extended warranty when I purchased my Amana range from Al Grace Appliance in 2017. Now the store is going out of business, my stove door is broken and I was told to call NSI for a service call. NSI must have their phone off the hook because the line is constantly busy. Dont buy a warranty from this scam outfit.
My nightmare with this company started on 12/27 or 12/28 of 2018.Got a washer/dryer as a housewarming gift when the wife and I first moved into our home 2.5 years ago or so. When it was purchased (under my wifes maiden name, we werent married at the time), we had also purchased the extended warranty. As of a while ago, the washer has been making some odd noises during the spin cycle, more than likely a bearing. It still works, just becomes intermittently noisy.Called NSI on the date listed above, got a claim number. Since then, Ive had to play phone tag with them, who ever they sub out their work to (Diamond factory Service), and even the company we originally purchased the machines from. I still cant get a damned service call out to my place. I live in a decent sized city, its not the boonies.Ive made multiple calls, and keep getting the runaround. It takes an hour for a service order to transfer between us and our service partners, youll be getting a phone cal from them within 24 hours. Thats one of the many excuses Ive heard through them.Trying to get anything done with them is like pulling adult teeth out with a string on a doorknob. They keep trying to stonewall on options, etc. There is absolutely no logical reason why I would have to spend almost a month, off and on, calling these guys to get service for my washer. You would think that after the first time something went amiss and I had called, they would have taken additional steps to ensure the issue was resolved. With them its simply a game of blaming others for their ineptitude.
Scam arrest scum of the earth. Dont give them any information.
Very very disappointed! Had sales rep call me in the middle of the day to convince me to extend my warranty. When she called me the second time I ask questions! This warranty covers anything? She said no. Everything except cosmetic damage. If you dent or break the door it’s not covered. Well my bottom rack is rusting and crumbling away! Guess what they don’t cover that.
As far as I can tell, this is a scam. They take your money and never provide any service. DO NOT do business with them. ---- I have learned my lesson to NEVER contract with an email only interface. -- Dont make the mistake I made.
When I bought my appliances at Johns Appliance and Bedding in Palm Coast, FL, I bought the 5 year extended warranty plan they offered and paid $590. Johns Appliance never registered my extended warranty with NSI. I found this out three years later when I attempted to get service on my range. At this point, Johns had to fess up and send them the information that I was covered. Well I might as well have never paid for a warranty with this company b/c they are useless. They contract with repair companies that are fraudulent and who charge them for repairs they never do and when you let NSI know, they dont believe you. They believe the scammers. You cant ask to speak to a Supervisor or Manager b/c they will not allow you to. You will NEVER get the same person twice when you call. They NEVER return a call or even bother to work on your claim or call you to find out if the problem was repaired before paying the scammer. They close your file w/o knowing for sure if the repair has been done. They make you feel helpless b/c they already have your money and they do not care about your issue. ALWAYS ASK THE STORE SELLING YOU AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THE NAME OF THE COMPANY, AND IF ITS NSI, DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY. Save your money and pay for any future repair on your own.
BUYER BEWARE!!!Dont waste your money on a service contract from NSI Protection Plus....its not worth the paper its written. I have an LG refrigerator that hasnt work for over a week. They hire third rate subcontractors that dont know a refrigerator from an oven and they cant fix it.
Had a great experience with them. My washer went down and had a replacement rather quick! Highly recommend!!
... and only because one star is the lowest possible review you can give a business. Wrong information resulting in lost time. Kings Great Buys Plus in Evansville, Indiana needs to reconsider their choice of vendors...
The staff tries to be helpful, but they are working for a company that does it best to avoid paying claims and providing service so theres not much they can do.
2months wsher broke still not fix do not buy warranty
Wish I could leave them less than 1 star. Bought high end $2000 Kitchen Aid french door refrigerator, KA stove w/ double oven, KA dishwasher & KA microwave from Slyman Brothers in St. Louis. The refrigerator started leaking underneath the storage drawers & into freezer in a few months. Makes a big mess & you cant take the drawers apart to even clean up the water. Goes rancid and makes a frozen mess in freezer. Kitchen Aid sent someone out to work on the defrost and drain. Didnt stay fixed. The 2nd year NSI Protection Plan kicked in. I have had the same issue for 5 years straight & had a repairman sent out every year. It never stays fixed for even a year, using the repair service. Store wont help. NSI wont help. Kitchen Aid wont help. The Kitchen Aid $800 dishwasher also broke within the first year. Kitchen Aid sent someone out & they fixed it (over heating). The 3rd year it stopped cleaning. NSI sent the same company...All Metro... out 3 times & they couldnt fix it. Dishes were dirty & greasy. Then it stopped draining & wouldnt even turn on. I finally replaced the dishwasher. Kitchen Aid didnt help. NSI didnt help. Syman brothers didnt help.
We have been waiting over 3 weeks to get our 1 year-old GE dishwasher fixed and it is still not scheduled. Lots of finger pointing between the insurance company and subcontractor. The problem is a pump. This service is not worth it. Go direct with the manufacturer instead. #EpicFail
Website has nothing but a phone #, which no one answers
I called to get warranty service on my KitchenAid dishwasher and was given the name of an appliance repair firm that was located 122 miles from my home. When I went online to check reviews of the recommended firm, all the websites I visited that listed them had terrible reviews of the firm. I called NSI back and asked for the names of other repair services closer to home. They did give me several other repair service firms names but none of them had good quality ratings on the Washington, D.C. local rating service - Washington Checkbook. I opted to swallow hard and ignore the $150 I had paid for NSIs 5-year protection plan and call an appliance repair service that got a good quality rating and just pay the repair bill to avoid the possible aggravation that might come from a firm that did not have a good local quality rating.
Dont do it! Do not pay extra for this protection. NSI has the worst service ever. They outsource to local providers, and they screw up sending over the details on the service visits - one guy showed up at my house with no warning, and then I waited at home for a service visit they had supposedly scheduled and dispatched but the local provider didnt how, and told me they didnt have me on the schedule. Both NSI and the local provider told me I had to contact the other to get back on the schedule after they had screwed up. Oh, and by the way, no one would take responsibility for this and the time issue fell back on me. STAY AWAY - WASTE OF MONEY!
Terrible experience.
Worst possible agency. I would not buy another service agreement from them.
One of the word experience I had to go through to make a claim, they would seriously give you the run around
Website sucks
