I have been a previous member of PF in years past. I took time off during the worst of the COVID 19 pandemic. I had knee surgery and a hip replacement in the Spring of this year. After completing my in home and out patient rehab, I still need to strengthen my knee and hip. With the closeness of the Phoenixville facility and the vast collections of machines and free weights, I recently rejoined. Looking forward to continuing my rehab at your location.

A great place with very dedicated owners and friendly clients. I was only able to get in a few classes prior to the shutdown but I really enjoyed the teachers and the other clients in the classes I tried.

Very clean and plenty of gear to get your workout in. Still options there I haven’t explored yet but can’t wait to try it all.

Clean and friendly, just wish that everyone was wearing masks as I dont know whois vaccinated and who is not!machines are cleaned by the participants and generally not very crowded!Love going as it is very convenient and an effective method for maintaining our fitness.

Cons:Staff is friendly if disengaged. The customers are not as advertised - no gytimidation. There is much grunting, especially in the free weight section, many full open muscle shirts, and constant hard dropping of the weights. Its less distracting with ear buds but can still be heard. The staff refuses to do anything about it.The arrangement of some of the equipment is awkward and overcrowded in places. The stretching area is far to small and also crowded with machines that people seldom use. They could get rid of about half of them in order to improve the floor space.Pros:The cardio equipment seems to have been updated within the last year.Its the cheapest gym around.The gym is clean.

Great gym and staff. COVID has died down and I’m paying for a 24h gym. It’s time to get your hours back to normal. Gyms crowded with high school kids now and the reduced hours are compacting people into smaller work out windows.

It is a great location and the staff is always so helpful and you are never waiting long to ask a question. It is very clean and I feel they go above and beyond to keep it clean. It is a safe place and I am in and out with ease and comfort.

Very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful at this location. I am looking forward to the state easing the Covid-19 regulations so I can use the cardio equipment without a mask like other states.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Equipment is clean. Unfortunately some patrons dont know how to clean a machine after themselves. Fortunately shortly after I saw staff go through and clean everything down.

The equipment was all dusty and dirty, I was there around 5:00 pm the three guys in reception talking and dont care about was around the Gym, one back pack vacuum with a cable was in top of a table where the people can seat, not enough disifencting stations.I ask if I can use the Hydromasage, and the kid told me No, the computer dont work thats all.This is not my Gym just I was around there and have time to used but not a good experience.

Its always spotlessly clean, the staff is super friendly and the manager is doing a great job. Keep up the great work!

Clean, quiet, well-lit. I like that I can work out at my own pace. It DOES get a little hectic when its crowded, but thats to be expected.

I’ve been a member of planet fitness for several years now and I’ve been to many different locations.The phoenixville location is hands down my favorite one by far. They have a friendly staff, always clean, well lit, lots of mirrors, an efficient layout, tons of space, and a wide variety of machines. I highly recommend this gym to all of my friends !

Just got charged my annual membership with ZERO notification of locations being open. No emails. No calls. You have all my info. BEWARE TO CHECK IF YOUR LOCATION IS OPEN THEY WONT TELL PROACTIVELY TELL YOU.

Great, clean and affordable. The front desk is always full of friendly and interesting people. When it comes to professional service, Nick is absolutely over-the-top and always knows me by name and checks me in without me having to even ask. The management team has always done a good job training and making all of their patrons feel like they’re part of a much more upscale club

Pf has been my catalist in my transformation.Ive been to several other pfs in Pa, NJ and DE but this one still ranks amongst the highest.The Pottstown location is very good as well.

In this day and age people are still working out not wearing their masks. There isnt anyone enforcing the mask rule. The employees at the front desk treat their job as a hang rather then a place of business. At least a 1/3 of the people in the gym today are not even wearing a mask.

I enjoy going to this gym because it forces me to be accountable for my fitness goals. I feel comfortable here, and that has taken me a long time and many lbs.to say. I have the black card which is why I use Planet Fitness. I have 3-4 gyms that Are within a 10 mile radius-of my home. If I am shopping, visiting, or have appointments out of my immediate area; I go to one of the other Planet Fitness so I don’t neglect my fitness routine.

Did not receive one e-mail that Planet Fitness was re-opening or that they would be charging their annual fee mid July. They cant communicate with their members but they have no problem taking money from you without letting you know. Called Planet, spoke to a manager, I feel terrible for her because shes getting all of the heat for the owners refusing to refund any member. Will be contacting PF headquarters.

The cleanliness of my local Planet Fitness changes dramatically when thestaff changes. The newer people dont seem to be motivated to keep theplace clean, and that has EVERYTHING to do with my weekly experience. I visit 3X a week, and it is really important to me that I see visible evidence that theres been cleanup. Also, many guys DO NOT CLEAN UP after they use the equipment. How hard could that be? No, that cant be enforced, but its so typical of me first, who cares about the next guy? attitude! My local Planet just got all-new treadmills--they are beautiful, and its definitely brought in more people. Over the years, Ive joined a number of exercise places, but Planet is by far the best & makes me want to visit often. So, thank you, Planet!

Would not give me a refund for the yearly fee. i was not told or warned that the bill would be coming up. My father is in the risk group for covid 19 and i do not wanna risk it. i explained this and they still would not refund me the $38

Planet Fitness is addressing a widespread social dynamic of body shaming that is very widespread and deeply entrenched in our American culture.The signage and visual reminders of the importance and dignity of every individual is a deeply important message. Offering the multitude of ways to address ones physical needs and challenges is simply first rate.Keep up the very good business model you have created.

Upgraded from Classic Membership to Black Card Membership and was charged for both memberships for over two years. So far have been denied a refund. Mixups happen but the unwillingness to correct the mistake is incredibly frustrating.

Your gym is supposed to be be open. Major disappointment that its not! I guess your employees drank and partied too much last night. Maybe you should invest in dedicated people who are reliable! Or maybe Im being mislead because your gym shouldnt say its open when its not.

Good experience in execised! Usually reasonable availability of equipment. Good assortment of options. People working there are friendly and helpful. Easy to either be in and out quickly, or to spend as much time as you need. Stopped going for awhile to swim at Y, but when ready to go back to a treadmill, Planet fitness was a Better fit.

Nice, friendly place that is less intimidating than most other big chains. I was honest when I joined, explaining that I mostly need a place to shower while our only full bath is being remodeled. I also thought that I might use the equipment when its too cold to hike, bike, or kayak, though I have equipment at home, just not as diverse.I went in today and just used the hydro bed and massage chair. Loved the bed, but 10 min isnt enough time. You can book two or more sessions, but you have to get up and ask them to start it again. The massage chair was good for a leg massage, but the rest felt like metal rods digging into my spine. Maybe its just me.The shower was pretty clean, but the water never gets hot. Its one valve that you turn from right to left to get to the warmer water. It went from lukewarm, to freezing, to lukewarm again, but was never comfortable. Frustrating. No one else was showering in the womens locker room. I do like that they have dressing rooms. I dont know many women over 50 who want to get dressed in front of strangers.Im thankful that I only need their shower for 2 weeks. I just live a mile away, so if I decide to keep my membership to use the equipment, I will shower at home.Update! Wow! Heard Kashmir by Led Zeppelin while in the dressing room. Thanks for throwing in some classic rock!

Friendly staff who are always willing to help and answer questions. I appreciate the separation of areas like the abs and stretching area.

When I went to sign up I asked the kid about the membership and I was not told about an annual fee when I signed up. I was also not told that I had to cancel by a certain date. I called and spoke to one of the employees about the charge before talking to the Manager and the young man said that they are suppose to tell you about the annual fee but he knows some of the employees that don’t! The manager was very rude and would not have the Owner call me about this. Very disappointed! I did send an email with no response back. I asked your employee what was the charges in the membership with him never stating anything about that charge.

Its inexpensive. You can do almost everything you can do at a $75/month facility for $10/month.Usually only crowded from January 1 thru the end of March.If you want to go way heavy, or squat unrestricted barbells, or swim... gotta go somewhere else.

Started charging us although we aren’t ready to go back in. When we asked to cancel our membership they said we have to go in in person 🤯 during COVID! Horrible customer service.

I transferred back to this location after moving home for 3 months before I switched to another gym. It’s a good beginner gym but it does feel like it’s constantly crowded there to the point where there’s no room in almost every area besides the treadmill. The staff are pretty friendly but are usually on their phones and sometimes don’t pay enough attention to say hello or goodbye. It is usually pretty clean which is nice but the lack of equipment options makes it a not as ideal place to work out.

LOVE that Planet Fitness is a judgement free zone!!! Lots of choices on the TV screens, and the hydromassage chairs are fun!

Very friendly staff, very clean gym. Only thing stopping me from giving five stars is the size of the gym. My home Planet Fitness is huge compared to this one and the stretching zone here is cramped as is the other section... Its just tucked back in the corner. Hydromassage chairs are nice!

Pretty terrific gym! The dumbbells only go up to 60lbs, and there are no free olympic bars (there are 4 Smith machines), but everything else about it is great. The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient, the building and equipment is always clean and well-kept, the temperature is always set well and never too cold or hot, there are plenty of cardio machines and other equipment for everyone to use, the locker rooms are always clean and nice-smelling, and the people who come here are nice and courteous and dont bother you. Its basically the polar opposite of LA Fitness in every possible way.

Low cost gym. If you are just looking for a good workout this is the place. No for serious fitness people as their equipment isnt the best and their weights arent very heavy.

The trainers are attentive, engaged and fun. The facilities are exceptionally clean.

Ive visited often over the last 7 months. Its always been clean. Theres ample parking, even when its busy. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a good place to work out. Although I prefer free weights and they dont have as many free weights as they do machines. Nevertheless there are enough free weights to get a good workout. And there is no judgement here.

If I could give 10 stars I would!!! The staff at Planet Fitness in Phoenixville is one of the best, friendly, and will answer questions that you may have. I always feel welcome when I attend. It does get crowded in the gym usually between the hours of 3pm to 7pm for which I try to avoid those times. Machines and all equipment is well kept and changing rooms are clean. PF at Phoenixville has helped me to drop and keep off 60 lbs in the past year.THANKS Planet Fitness!!!

Back home I was a regular at PF!! Loved going there!! But where I am now not a one within twenty miles and that requires a drive on a toll road. 😞😠😕

I moved out of the area. Called in September to cancel my membership, was told I cant cancel until October since my membership renews November 1. So I called October 20, and was told they dont do cancellations over the phone, Id have to come in. I explained I live 4 hours away, and was told Id have to send a certified letter... There wasnt enough time to do that cost-effectively, so I drove down. Walked in, cancelled, received cancellation confirmation. Took 2 minutes.Today, November 1, Planet Fitness charged my bank account $39. When I called, I was told that I only cancelled my monthly subscription, noy my annual membership, and that my annual membership would have needed to be cancelled by October 25th. This makes absolutely no sense. Why would a person who cancels their membership, want to keep an annual membership for a gym that cant go to?Beware of Planet Fitness, this is theft.

Elenor is the best manager out of all the planet fitnesses I’ve been to. If you want a gym where you feel welcome and not just a stranger there working out, planet fitness phoenixville is it thanks to the staff and management.

I go to three different planet fitnesses. And this one is pretty good. Clean. Friendly staff as usual. And the price is always right. Ive been to other gyms that charge double for exactly what I get here.

Facility is clean, music is upbeat and PG and when it is busy it doesnt seem too full. Always feel good that I went.

Just joined Phoenixville Planet fitness and I must say it is one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been in. Good assortment of workout machines and cardio devices. Surprisingly have cable machines and a great amount of low weight dumb bells. I got the membership promotion which was $99 per year. Overall very satisfied.

24/7 opening is the most valuable aspect to me. Ive got a butchered sleep schedule but at least I know that whenever I manage to wrap up my bonkers musician schedule I can get a workout. I also dig the zero eye contact thing.

This is a very nice planet fitness. WiFi was great shower roomy and clean.

You get what youre paying for... good for quick, lightweight workouts - plenty of cardio equipment and exercise machines. The tanning beds and massage rooms are included in the premium membership, which I imagine is a value add to those whom leverage such. No free weight bench/bars, only Smith machines - huge negative for me. Oh, and be wary of going HAM if youre doing any body building, because you can easily be dubbed a lunk, sounding an obnoxious siren, should you make a sound whilst exerting yourself on a rep (i.e., grunt).

Very spacious gym with a lot of cardio equipment and a sufficient amount of dumbells ( up to 60 lbs) and some Smith machines with a lot of plates available. Theres a nice variety of machines available and there isnt usually a wait to use them. They could use another plate loaded leg press but otherwise everything is nice. My favorite are the Ab Benches which really do the job.This gym is ALWAYS clean unlike others I have used and the staff is very friendly and helpful.This truly is a no judgement gym and there are a wide variety of people and fitness levels here.Ive worked out my entire life and I have seen my share of gyms and I truly like this place.The tanning beds and massage chairs are also nice options.Great policy regarding guests too!

Staff is friendly and will answer any questions. The trainer there is awesome and is good at tailoring a basic workout to get you going if youre not sure how to start.
