I have been a customer of Pool Masters for many years...over 15 years (started back when they were called Pool Buddy). I had been very satisfied with their service until a short time ago when my regular guy was no longer there and they sent someone else. Twice they left my gate unlocked (which is a security and liability issue) and in 3 weeks, he NEVER emptied the filter basket by the pump...he only emptied the skimmer basket. I called to complain and I got a very rude response. The manager told me that I should just find a different company to do my pool. I was very surprised by this response and I asked what was the issue and he stated that some people are just harder to please than others. My response was that I was calling to notify them that the gate was left unlocked twice and the filter hadnt been emptied in 3 weeks and I stated that both of these things should clearly be considered part of the guys job. (In addition...the guy never showed up at all one week...though I didnt get a chance to mention this to the manager). I believe this manager (and I dont know if hes the owner or not) does not like his job and does not have any interest in providing good customer service. If they treat a customer theyve had for over 15 years this way...imagine how poorly they will treat new customers! I am giving a one-star review...if I could, Id give zero stars due to the rude manager and complete lack of customer service. I decided that since they spent less than 10 minutes per week at my house, I could probably take care of it myself. I discovered that Leslie’s will test your water for free and will give you step-by-step instructions on what to do. I told them that my Pool Masters guy had been putting chlorine tablets into my skimmer on a regular basis during the summer and they told me that was likely the cause of me having to replace my salt cell system and my entire pump system in less than 5 years! I just assumed the guy knew what he was doing all those years, but clearly, he did not! Do NOT use Pool Masters. Pool Masters does not care at all about their customers or the quality of service they provide. OH…and they never returned my key!
