The staff is ready to help with information on several resources available to the homeless. And they really care about the homeless. So dont think about bad thoughts about getting help. Do be careful as in any situation. Always be aware of your surroundings. And dont give anyone anything, you can say no. And keep walking or remain where you are if in line. Dont show fear and get the help you deserve to get because of your homeless situation. No one is there to judge you. But be aware not to tell anyone your source of income if you have one. Or when you get paid. And dont tell anyone your life story. Please just get into Cass stay inside get the help you need. Dont get caught up in the endless party going on outside of Cass. Its no party in the end so do yourself a favor and get inside and stay inside of Cass until you get the help you need. Good luck and God bless you in this homeless journey.
There is no help here, its all a lie, they treat you like a third - class citizen, they will not help the HOMELESS PERIOD!. they have a new security team, they look very dangerous, they feed you 2 day old food. Give you warm water to drink. From what l heard they got a homeless program but it is only for the mentally disabled only, a regular homeless person they will not help period, so dont ask, you want to know why? If they help the HOMELESS get a place to stay, they dont have a JOB! THEY NEED THOSE PEOPLE THERE TO KEEP THEIR JOB, PLUS AT THE WELCOME CENTER, YOU WILL STAND UP TO 3 TO 5 HOURS IN THE BROILING HEAT ALL FOR NOTHING. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.THE OTHER ST VINCENT DEPAUL OVER ON 7TH AND WATKINS TREAT YOU VERY NICE AND FEED YOU REAL GOOD FOOD, THEY WILL HELP YOU HERE. STAFF IS REAL COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL THERE OKAY. GO TO 7TH AND WATKINS, NOT 232 SO 12TH AVE STAY AWAY, PLUS THE PEOPLE IN THE AREA OVER ON 12TH AVE ARE VERY DANGEROUS, (THE ZONE), STAY AWAY FROM THIS CENTER.
God bless the staff . They are friendly, fantastic personality. Thank you all for the help. Great team work.👍👍👍.
Cool place for the youth to come and have fun and learn and be safe
I have spent years down there, I am a target. So people keep up the good work, and if not step it up ok.
They have all kinds of help at this campus. For housing. Jobs. Medical. Food. Dentist. Anything you need they can find help for you
Awesome people. Very nice. They help u with everything. Id mailbox, showers, clothes, shoes, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Doctors, dentist. I never really nice and considerate, no judging. Kind of nice for change.
I cannot stand being at cass but at the same time its ok
Again by the fact that you only get one chance at a birth certificate through them and I have apparently already used mine Im sorry thats once in a lifetime.
Cant say I loved it but I can say Im grateful for what they offer and do for the homeless and despondent. I was able to order my birth certificate and get a place to sleep for a couple nights.
I was recommended to go here last year. After they told me where I can park, I got my husband inside to be evaluated. We have been homeless 3 yrs. He has DVT and they claim to have moved him on the list at an 8. I was next and listed as a 3. After we leave, I come out to a ticket on my vehicle at $165.00. Money that I just didnt have. The cent said that they will be in contact soon about our applications. That was a year ago. After calling back on this past November, I was re-evaluated and moved from a 3 to a 10. My husband passed away due to no help. I have been robbed and tossed around in this system by so many that I not only lost my husband but, I am losing my sanity. My only other way out is death. No one cares about anyone in this situation. Ive heard from other homeless how the center has basically kicked them to the curb also. I havent done drugs in over 32 years. I dont drink either. And I have no income but, I feel as though I have to have a needle in my arm to get any type of help. I struggle every day with the fact that my husband is gone because we just couldnt get him the proper care for his heart. Great job on really helping people. Smh.
Its a great place to start if u have no other resources
Very helpful in the right situation
This place is terrible to the homeless. They turn on the AC and make it to cold, turn the heater on and make it way to hot, dont give out blankets to everyone who needs them at night, keep people awake by letting people walk around anywhere making loud noises so you cant sleep even when you have to work the next day. staff steals from homeless as well. Dont go there!!!
They do an excellent job under the difficulty of circumstances.
I ESCORTED A FEMALE FRIEND TO THIS PLACE. I WAS ABSOLUTELY STUNNED!! AND THATS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO DO BUT THIS PLACE DID EASILY. THE ÇONDITIONS ARE GROSSLY APPALLING THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE. I SAW NO MASKS NO SOCIAL DISTANÇING BY THE HOMELESS PEOPLE OR THE STAFF. THE OUTSIDE SECURITY PEOPLE WERE SOCIALIZING IN A GROUP PAYING NO ATTENTION TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING AROUND THEM. THE INSIDE SECURITY N STAFF WERE TREATING PEOPLE WITH ZERO RESPECT OR COMPASSION OR CONSIDERATION. AND MOST THE HOMELESS WERE LIVING IN TENTS AT BEST OUTSIDE CORRALED INSIDE OF FENCED IN AREAS WITH ZERO REGARD FOR WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THE MOST UNSANITARY CONDITIONS. IF I WERE HOMELESS ID STAY IN AN ALLEY OR ANYWHERE BUT THERE.
To many of us homeless, there taking there time, smells to me there to slow,
Just got mail, dont miss it for sure
The staff was very nice
The green security guards that Cass has employed around the whole entire complex are Kinder and MORE professional than the actual employees
The staff or helpful and great its always a pleasure talking to them but its the homeless people that make the place what it is they dont know how to throw away things in the trash can they act crazy theyre dirty and they make the place dirty they need to clean that place up but even when they do clean it up itll still be a mess thanks to the homeless people because theyre very unkind and selfish
So sad 😢
Great helping center
The Brian Garcia Welcome Center. Is located on the CASS campus. In Phoenix. Youll need to see them to get a pass to enter the Campus. They have many resources to get you the help that you need.
Give you shelter, bed to sleep, eat and will help with employment searching, also provide you clothes for interviews, work on your resume. Must comply to rules and regulations. Very helpful and caring staff.
Free emergency dental with informative staff....
They do a great job trying to assist people in getting housing. Its not always easy. But it pays off in the end. Kudos to the staff.
Im partial because I work here, but its next to impossible to not love what God is doing here. Brian would be beyond proud. For some reason I think of that song Unchained Melody when I see him smiling in his photo on our wall in the Welcome Center. Even after I leave I will always remember this beautiful center and our clients.
After all Ive been apart of at C.A.S.S., now to visit and utilize assistance at the new BRIAN GARCIA WELCOME Center was enlightening. People in need of Human Service NEEDS are being serviced with dignity! Bravo - BGWC!
Its a great place for resources for those down and out. Yes the people who go there are scary looking, but they dont bother nobody. If you need emergency shelter because theres no where else to go, or are hungry, or just somewhere to go for the moment...that is a great place to start.
Very nice peopleThey help with state id an birth certificates n much more
Tried to get my photo ID....will have to go to DMV and pay the $12 bucks....
I thank you very much for the Brian Garcia Welcome Center because they try very hard to assist you in every way as they possibly can and for that I was thankful.
Good
Nasty smelly place. Homeless men and women all over the place. No judging no one. I witnessed an Violence acts against the security guard. Guy was asked to leave and smacked the guard hot coffee and cup out her hand and on to the chest of an pale boy standing against the wall on my first visit on mistake. Never visit this place unless you really must.
Identification, birth certificate, and more are available.
I was told by one of their staffs that I was safer the streets been at their facility I still go here for the resources
Great place for resourses if your homeless!!
Peacefull shelters for the homeless.
Very dirty! Inside is nice but the outside is full of discust!
Very helpful. Hopefully get the housing service I need.
The homeless shelter is so ghetto. However, the staff is nice and super helpful.
Helping others feel good about themselves
Even though they trespassed me for venting its a good place to help with housing options for people who have been put out due to high rent increases here in Phoenix maricopa county
They were great & very helpful
A little messy
Ladies at the front desk have the worst attitude. Always calling security to get you removed .Mrs Money Penny they call her, cant ever get a hello, or a smile from her . They really need to find another job if they hate it so much. They are there to Guide and help the Homeless. Brian Garcia would be disappointed in them Ladies.
