I had a tough time during the parent tot class and when I told the instructor she laughed at me. At the end of the class I was crying and trying to leave and told the teacher I had had a hard time, she turned around and laughed and announced to everyone “we all had to go through it!!” such an embarrassing experience.I don’t think laughing at anybody is an appropriate response at all. If it is so easy to laugh at a struggling parent, how do they treat their students when parents aren’t allowed to supervise or be near?I was going to do the trial class with them again with a different instructor but when calling back they wouldn’t schedule me again and told me to call back later. Poor customer service.
Was really disappointed. Met by a rude, robotic clerk. There was no where to sit. I was told I would need to leave and watch on the zoom. My daughter is 6. It was our first day. That is unacceptable. I asked to get my daughter. The lady said, snippily, ok. Got her and we left. Not one person said hello, welcome, good bye, sorry.... nothing. You get the military feeling in there. Kids are still forced to wear masks. Not my kind of place. They dont seem to really care about anything but robotic protocols of all the ways you cant make up a class or get any money back. Instead they should focus on making someone feel welcomed. Very sad.
My daughter started here in tumble bugs she loves it hopefully after coronavirus we can get back to going
Challenging for little ones and works tons of good motor skills. Love this place
Went today to see about A gymnastics summer camp for my daughter they didn’t offer me a tour didn’t tell me nothing about their gymnastic summer camp or care to answer any questions I might have all they did was just hand me a sheet of paper and just sat behind the desk not once did they offered to show me or my daughter around or give us a tour and on The brochure they are asking for a $50 deposit and at least $300 and something dollars a week!!! You’re asking and having these kind of prices and not once could anyone get up from behind the counter and show me and my daughter a tour and we are coming to look at your facility and spend money!!!I’m sorry not worth my money all we did was walk in and walk out with a sheet of paper and if this is HIw your treatment is for someone coming to look at your facility to spend money on day one how would it be if I was spending money!!?I am answering back on my review because I cannot add an added response after I was contacted by your facility after I wrote my review but the front desk had two women there behind the front desk so there was more than just one person at the desk and at the time neither one was on the phone! You said you wanted to help with frustration which there isn’t any I’m just used to having better customer service and treatment from anywhere I am going concerning my child and where I spend my money!!Customer service and first impressions speaks volumes!!!Your staff wasn’t busy and wasn’t taking any calls and when I came in there was only three children that were inside the facility at the time and only two coaches around them!!So to this conclusion the atmosphere at this facility and customer service was nonexistent!
Best place in Arizona. Very well organized. Great trainers.
Very fun place to go
Kudos to PGA, thank you for keeping our kids active and healthy during this this crazy time! We’ve been going to PGA for little over a year now and have had a great experience! The front desk ladies are very kind and helpful with scheduling and answering my questions to the best ability. My kids love going to gymnastics learning from their coaches, and I have recommended this place to all our friends!
My daughter has been going here for almost 3 years now. We absolutely LOVE it. Always so friendly. They work so well at teaching the kids new skills and perfecting them.
My daughter has been attending this gym for the last two years and loves it. The instructors are so kind and patient and she continues to excel!
Since day one my daughter and I have been happy with the gymnastics program here at Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy. The prices are extremely reasonable and I love the fact that they offer one free trial class to begin with. The entire staff are always helpful and friendly, and the gym is beautiful. Always kept very nice, neat, and organized. I would definitely recommend this place 100%.
Fantastic gym! Tons of equipment, very well maintained. I have 2 kids in classes here and love it. The employees are all very professional, helpful, and patient. (Just wish there was a 3-4 year-old dance class in the mornings and more parking during the busy afternoon classes)
Sometimes felt like the activities moved a little too fast for the younger children. Staff was supportive. I also wonder about cleanliness, as this is such a huge facility. How does it get cleaned between groups of children? How does that big vat of foam blocks get cleaned? Seems like it may be a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses.
Coach Jody is wonderful . My daughter loves the class
Parking can be a nightmare, there usually arent any seats to watch your child, even if I do get a seat I cant see me daughter because her class is in the far bottom corner so I have to watch her on a TV monitor and stand up the whole time. They really need to expand the office and viewing areas. Its also usually pretty hot inside. Once class gets out its a madhouse of parents and children trying to get in and out, people bumping into each other, knocking clothing off racks, if youre at all claustrophobic it will be tough for you! Some coaches are better and more patient than others. I will not be bringing my daughters back to this gym.
I am so grateful for the coaches at PGA! I am so impressed with not only their expertise of teaching gymnastics, but the life and psychological skills my 8 year old daughter is learning. Thank you PGA coaches for teaching all my 3 kids! I continue to be impressed and thankful after all these years. This is why I tell everyone PGA is the best.
Our daughter has been going attending classes here for over a year now and we just love it!! The coaches are great with the kids, the desk staff is always friendly and helpful, and our daughter looks forward to going to class every week!!!
My daughters attend some of the gymnastics classes here. PGA is a very family friendly business that is warm and welcoming. My daughters both love their classes and their knowledgeable coaches. The front desk is always welcoming and friendly also. I would recommend anybody that is new to gymnastics or has experience elsewhere to attend Phoenix Gymnastics Academy.
I love everything about this place! I love the encouraging coaches who are always helping the kids advance and I love that each coach has only a handful of kids! Gives them the opportunity to get better and be safe! I drive 38 miles to get here every week because its worth it! The only time there is high traffic crowd is when one class is leaving and the other class is coming in. 😄
My daughter has been coming to PGA for almost a year and I can say she does enjoy it she started off as a tumble bug with coach jodi and Ellen which I absolutely loved. And now she is an acro tot with Robyn and Randi who are excellent coaches as well. Yes the parking does suck but you can park on the outside street and there are only 6 chairs downstairs which can suck if your children are in tumble bugs or acro tots. Other than that I love PGA and recommend them to anyone whos child is curious to try gymnastics
My daughter has never done gymnastics, but Ive been to several gyms to watch my sister. The coaches at Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy are great. I love the upstairs seating. You can see the entire gym and watch your childs class. Theres also a TV upstairs to entertain siblings.
Wonderful place so fun and accommodating. My children love the classes and instructors . That is all they talk about on coming here.
Kylie Harvey is so cool
Best. Place. Ever.
I really like my daughters coaches but I have a very big big disappointment with the one working in the front desk and her name is Susan. This employee is very rude and disrespectful. I was trying to schedule a make up class for my daughter but then she said it expires in 7 weeks which honestly I am not aware of and nobody told me that it expires. To my surprise when I ask her what do I do with that since I was not aware of it and then she responded that it doesnt really matter because everybody says that I was like wow! Even when I was still talking to her trying to explain my side with a loud voice she said are you going to schedule or what? Then she added that if nobody told me about the policy now I know already. What a rude human being in my 2 years in this school I have never had anyone talk to me like this before. To the owner of PGA I hope you will take this seriously this kind of employee doesnt deserve nor fit with where she is working. I wonder how many parents are annoyed with her every time they talk to this lady.
The coaches are very patient with the kids and help them learn to understand.
Many years ago I was a gymnast at Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy. I took my experiences and the knowledge given to me to train teenagers now. Its an amazing place to be to get the training your little gymnast wants.Forever grateful for my time I was with Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy.
The staff is so patient and encouraging with the girls.
Im x
I took my 4 yr old daughter for a trial class last Wednesday and the traffic just to walk inside the building is unbelievable. It is such a pain to get upstairs to her class with all the people trying to go in and out. I feel something definitely has to be done about that because its chaos and makes it not even worth the stress. My daughter had her first class last night and after being in class for about 5 minutes or so while stretching she was asked to go out of class with an instructor. I was confused on what was going on and when they walked out the door I asked what was going on. I was told my daughter was not enrolled(even though it was a mistake on their part and she was) so she couldnt be in the class. My first thought was why would you take my child out of the class when it could have been discussed with me first. The instructor wasnt even going to come up to me, she was just going to take my daughter to the front desk. How is a 4 yr old going to help?! Needless to say I was pretty upset that happened regardless if it was a small misunderstanding or not. There was no apology and she commented that the front desk made her look bad for this mistake. During the class there is a ton of standing around and my daughter agrees they dont do much which she has been in gym for the last yr + at Az Sunrays. My daughter will be attending one last class because it is paid for then we will no longer go to this gym. Hope some changes can be made because I was really excited to find a gym so close to home!
Um, well. I was trying to do a front handspring and the coach Robyn was pulling my hair so, I dont like it there.
My 3 year old daughter loves the tumble bugs class. The teachers are nice and the facility is good. Price is fair too.
This company absolutely sucks. They kick out special needs kids for crying too much. My niece with autism is no longer back in her gymnastics class for crying during class. Horrible place! I would never recommend going here!
I only give this academy 2 stars because some of the teachers really care and interact with the kids well. Other than that, the older women who works the front desk is an absolute nightmare! Her attitude is disgusting and you can tell customer service is NOT her goal! I would not recommend this gymnatics academy. There are much better places to send your child and spend your money. Also, there just isnt enough seating to watch your child. They claim its first come first serve but you can get to the academy 30 mins early and theyll be women saving seats for people who dont show up until an hour later. Ridiculous. The coaches dont communicate what the student needs to work on to advance. It seems as if theyll just take your money as long as the can without the care of moving your child along with goals in gymnastics.
Im to say the least dissapointed. My daughter got bored quikly because the class just did the same thing over and over. My daughter is 10 and there were younger kids on her team each session so the coaches seem to focus more on the younger kids because they have more trouble doing the flips etc. Which i get but my daughter wasnt learning much. The couches never come out to communicate with the parents and everything is just up in the air. You dont know if your child is advancing etc. Its a bummer because i really wanted this place to work but i have to find a gym with more structure and with more attentive coaches.
Amazing my 2 1/2 year old has been going for almost a year now
My daughter level 4 and son level 3 love dance and gymnastics here
