My daughter has been in their program for only a month and already there has been a drastic change to her attitude towards reading. She now is interested in reading chapter books and is excited about participating in lessons at school where she used to feel unable to.She is able to understand word questions more easily and her stress levels and self esteem have improved greatly.I would highly recommend this program for anyone who has a child struggling to understand lessons in school. It’s truly worth it. Staff is super friendly and lessons are tailored to help your child learn at their pace.

We have been working with this location for a while. Everyone is really friendly and they are genuine about their commitment to ensure our kids are getting the help they need. They also run promotions very often and during summer time they have awesome camps! They have plenty of financing options which makes things easier as well. We appreciate you guys! Thank you for treating us like family.

Deb Boyd: I am Admin Mgr and likely the first person you will meet when you come to Sylvan. The main focus at Sylvan is to work with each student to master the skills that they are lacking. To encourage and to be supportive of their accomplishments while making progress in their programs. Here they are shown the importance of school and have ownership in their outcome. One of the ways we encourage them, is to bring in report cards each grading period to be recognized for their accomplishments. Our teachers are great with each one bringing a unique flavor to the teaching table. I each day upon the arrival of each student, greet them by name and ask how their day was, which I then ask about the other school activities they are involved in i.e. band, drama, dance or sports. All of this goes to making a well rounded individual. For me, it is amazing what interaction each day does to boost their self confidence and to let them know that they are valued.

The staff is courteous, kid-Friendly & accommodating to my child’s individual needs. Progress will be based on how often your child attends and Id be lying to say that I’ve seen overnight success. However, writing for my child has definitely improved since attending Sylvan. He is a 5th grader that benefits from the one on one instruction not always available in the classroom at school. He prefers Sylvan over other tutoring avenues we have tried in the past because they really strive to make learning fun and rewarding.

I strongly support the Sylvan Way! My daughter needed help boosting her college ACT & SAT scores. The Sylvan team really helped her unpack and understand the writing prompts, as well as the math sections. We couldnt be happier with the instruction she received. The upfront payment for tutoring her now was well worth the scholarship money to come. THANK YOU, SYLVAN TEAM!

Horrible. Mislead about tutor to student ratio. $52/hour does NOT get you 1:1 tutoring but you will not be told this when they charge you for the expensive eval. You will only find out when you go to your first tutoring appointment. The tutor in Anthem was cold and could not handle the other student that with in the season and my child was shy and she could not do anything so I stayed and did the entire session. Found out from other parents this is very normal. Please do not waste your hard earned money.

I would give this place a minus 1 stars if I could. Here is my experience. I called the facility to see about getting my daughter some help. The phone call was very brief and payment was asked for to reserve an appoint. Payment for the initial assessment was made for $95. We arrived for the assessment and was asked for the paperwork. I responded what paperwork I didnt know of any. The receptionist then explained that I probably missed it and it may have went to my junk mail. I know for sure it didnt and I dont think they ever sent any. But ok, so my wife and I filled out the paperwork. First red flag, we go into a room to fill out the paper and the table is a little round table that wables while you write. Not a good sing but ok, the red flag comes when on one of the pages it states that i needed to give them permission to share my daughters medical information at their discretion. We that was t going to happen so I marked that part out of the contract and moved on. The assessment of my daughters skills to about two hours. During this time I asked the receptionist questions about what the process was and the education levels. She didnt have much information but was quick to tell me that all of their teachers are certified by the state. So I asked what does that mean are the certirifed by grade and if so how far. She referred me to the another woman who wasnt there. So we waited for the assessment to be over and get the results. We were then told that we had to schedule a follow up with another person to reviews the results because they were sent off somewhere else to get grades. Seems odd that they can grade the work in house. So 4 days later my wife and I show up to ge the review sand find out what our daughter needed. This is where read flags started flying around the room. The lady presenting the review, started to go over the result which we basically one sheet of graphs with a few numbers. This quickly transitioned into this is how many hours your daughter needs and then are the plans of how you can pay. I tried to back up and ask specific questions about their plan and how the assessments were done. This was met with disdain from the the presenter as she wanted to keep moving back to the cost. The more questions I asked that more irritated she became and just wanted to talk about the money and what we would sign up for. When I asked specific questions about the teaching times and how it would be spread out she changed her story everytime to well lets look at the plans you can buy. After three times I had to tell her I didnt care about the money right now I am trying to determine if your program is worth it. When I wanted specifics on the credentials of the teachers she stated well they are certified. I again said certified in what? What levels of mayhem are the trained in. Her response was all of it. Now I am an college educated engineer and I have never heard someone say that they now all math. So I questioned do you mean all the way up thru college level skills. Her response was yes they know all math now this is a clear sign that she doesnt know math and is not prepared to explain their math teaching capabilities. So we end up back at the money again. The plans were from $2000 to $5800 dollars with no clear explanation of what we would be getting for our money; and we needed to pay half now and the rest within 30 days or they could try to set up financing. At this point my wife and I decided we wanted to take the information home and review it. The lady showed us two documents and stated that we had to sign them I politely stated that we were going to wait to talk things over before we signed anything. She stated we had to sign these papers. I told her that no I dont and we wouldnt be signing anything right now. She then stated that I had to initial and date them to show that I wouldnt sign them. Ok, now Im sure Im at a used car lot. At this point I pushed the papers back and stated we will not be signing. She then insults my wife and walks out of the room, so we left. It was only about the sale

One of the most important things children gain from their time at Sylvan is the confidence that they can work hard and achieve their goals. I cant tell you how many times the only thing standing in the way of my students success is that they dont think theyre capable of learning or understanding something. Not only does Sylvan target the specific skills that students may be missing, but they encourage and inspire students to take control of their own education, and have confidence in their abilities. I would suggest Sylvan to any parent who is concerned about their childs progress in school.

I had hired S..... learning center and was extremely dissatisfied with their customer service and the lack of personal care for my childs furthering of education in the English Field. I was told that the strict assignments would help us find her weakness and find her strengths. After 3 weeks my students was still doing 6 grade reading assignments being half way through the school year I question the lessons. I asked if she was scoring 100% on all assignments then why arent we progressing in difficultly or even her grade level Freshman in High School I was met with hostility and told that they know how to tutor my Student and that they know best. We have cancelled and will never be using them or referring any one to them!
