After my starter went out, I decided to give Barrow’s Automotive a try not only because of its proximity to my home, but because of the abundance of positive reviews. Well... here’s another. Neal is an honest man doing honest work. His prices are more than reasonable and he maintains a transparency that many mechanics would deprive us of. On top of what’s mentioned above, he had my car back on the road in a matter of hours. Trustworthy mechanics are a rare gem. Neal is one of them.

Neal is a top notch mechanic with 45 yrs of experience and all the diagnostic tools to get about any automobile problem resolved. He is very professional and centrally located down town if you ever need someone god for your cars mechanical needs.

This is a good repair shop they keep you informed customer service is a priority at this shop.Quality work at a fair price.

Ive had Neal working on my older vehicles for a year and a half. He has always been able to find the problems and fix them right away and a very good job at a VERY reasonable price. I only have a few months left on my free (already paid) maintenance on my newer model truck but Ive already started having Barrows do the oil change and maintenance on the truck, too. He and Tony are very knowledgeable and very talented in their field. I take my vehicles ONLY to Barrows these days.

Neil is a honest guy, a straight shooter. He got me setup with all the things I need and then some and still beat everyone elses price. If you want a honest mechanic then this is the place to go.

I have an 88 cutlass (that was running) and I asked Neil how much would it be to pass emissions and bring it up to par. He said 2,000,so I gave him 2,000 and waited for nearly two years and now it doesnt even crank over. If this mechanic cant even fix old cars I wouldnt trust him with a newer car at all. Although Tony was very helpful and I feel bad for that dude that has to put up Neils bullshit. When I was getting it towed out of there he had told me I still owed him $300. My car came back all filthy inside and out and had random dents in it. My car was primer and had zero dent in it and ready for paint. If u go to this guy beware and go at your own risk. I recommend you go to Kingston automotive a real mechanic.

Absolutely awesome customer service. fair pricing. honest people.any time i need to have auto work done, my stomach drops. i dont know much about cars, so im always nervous about being ripped off (outrageous fees, hidden problems, etc.). neal heads up this family-owned business and made me feel extremely comfortable, taking a lot of extra time to explain to me the issues and our options and he was super up-front about repairs that could wait.came in for my first time with the check engine light on for a 2003 nissan. service was outstanding and easily would have cost three times as much at the dealership. this shop runs the full gamut of minor repairs (they fixed a door handle and automatic window for me) as well as in-depth diagnostics.so impressed. barrows automotive has won my trust and i truly believe that they are deserving of your business. give them a go!! 7th st between osborn and indian school.
