Went to the Rock Horror Picture Show. It was awesome. The bar in the lobby is run well if relaxed. The were all family here vibe runs throughout the establishment. Its a good thing. Only beer & wine and come early as the parking lot fills quickly. Its a great time but really only for adults as it is a bar and people are getting tipsy. Go with a date and have a blast.

My favorite place in Phoenix. The owner and the Film Programmer are amazing people. Community-based organization that serves beer. Whats not to love. These guys are what real downtown Phoenix is about. Just go and take in the awesomeness. Have a beer or 20 and watch a film or 8. The. Best.

Great local drafthouse! Bike rack out front makes for easy lock and walk to the door. Tamales and popcorn top the unique theater fair. We ordered tickets and drinks all on one tab. I got a mango cider and took it into into the small theater. Here each lounge chair has a collapsible table and maybe a dozen seats. The wall on one side features a mural painted by a local muralist. We watched Lydia Lunch documentary and drank. Special mention goes out to the gender-neutral restrooms and local art adorning the walls.

One of my favorite valley bars. Features a wine/beer bar and a full theater room where you can bring your snacks and drinks. In response to the pandemic they modified their seating space to include a second, smaller film screening room which is a lifesaver during the pandemic as you can rent the room for groups of 10 and smaller and screen a film of your choice.Love the mission of this establishment in the promotion of indie, art, and cult classics.

Loved watching a flick here! Really exceptional staff. Fun atmosphere & lots of art & great decor. Sort of tucked away in a difficult to get to neighborhood, but so worth the effort. Ticket prices are comparable to theater chains. There are a few snack options & if you get a good cashier, you might even get a free refill on your soda. Seating is comfy, view of screen is perfect, sound is amazing. Free parking & lots of interesting murals all over the walls outside. Great selection of varying and eclectic films that changes often. Terrific place to go for a date or with friends. Not really a place to take children. Feels more like a refuge for grown ups. I loved seeing a movie here & plan to go back again & again.

Chill place, a little basic but if a movie and beer or wine is what you’re looking for then this is perfect. Would be nice to have liquor available hence the 4 star, staff was...helpful but a bit on the “if you’re not one of us” side, and I’m not even sure what “one of us” is. Millennials? FilmBar is a source of many forms of entertainment in one! First and most importantly, they are an indie cinema. They play all kinds of movies here (check their calendar online). I loved watching Casablanca in theater with a glass of wine and some popcorn. I was even able to attend an event where they played Pink Floyd over Wizard of Oz, and held a discussion beforehand. Oftentimes they will play new indie releases that you just wouldnt be able to see elsewhere! They offer an extensive craft beer selection, along with a nice selection of wine. You can even come here without seeing a movie simply to enjoy the drinks and ambience.Hot tip: every last Saturday of the month, Djentrification (a favorite local DJ) hosts his world music dance night Palace Party here. Came here for Wednesday night Big, Gay Sing Along for RENT and it was so much fun! Its half price bottle of wine night too so that was an nice addition to the evening. They have on site parking (free) which is very convenient and easy. Its a one room theatre with theatre seats (they do not recline) and high top tables. We preferred the tables because you can get a tamale and a drink before the show and take it into the theatre. Plus with the tables its easier to leave for the restroom or another drink or even get some popcorn.I loved being able to sing out loud to the movie without feeling I was interfering with the rest of the crowds experience....they encourage it!Since it was half price I couldnt complain about the drink prices ($15 for a bottle of reisling) and the tamales are delicious and pretty inexpensive as well ($4 for the vegetarian). The lobby area is a nice size to sit with a drink and chat before the movie begins. The drink selection is limited to beers and wines with no mixed drinks available. Two people in our party ordered the peach beer and that was tasty. They also have water, tea and soda.Im not exactly sure how other evenings go here but for this specific engagement it was very fun and I hope to do it again soon.
