I really enjoyed my 10 min mini vacas, about 5x a week😳🤦‍♀️. The girls at the front desk are beautiful and sweet. I was able to adjust the music volume in my room and it was good choice of music to. Thats always nice.. Wipes are provided if needed, right in the room. Top it off a jolly rancher!! Love it!!!

My girlfriend has used this place and its always been a place that she has used and seems to enjoy. There hasnt really been any problems or anything that was negative or a reason to bring something to light. It definitely i feel on the more pricey side but maybe Im wrong because I havent gone around doing anything like that. But Ill have to say that the service and the employees are nice! 4 stars

So I went here today and they were quick to service my spray and then I got a free bikini and they let me have the tan free of charge because its my birthday and...they were in the middle of redecorating so yes A+ from me:);)

What a great place to tan I have been going there over 7 years. The staff is great and very friendly. The place is very clean and well maintained.Their more than happy to accommodate you. Give this place a try you wont regret it.

I have tried many spray tans, but went here for my first custom airbrush. Alison was awesome! She helped me decide on the perfect color, and I couldnt be happier with the results! She made me feel very comfortable, her and her coworker were very friendly and helpful. I cant imagine ever going to another machine to get a tan, and will most likely keep coming back to Surf City for an airbrush because of this experience. I recommend!And they had some really cute swim suits for sale too! :-)

I came in for an airbrush tan for an event, since a booth spray didnt patch up the paleness on my shoulders like I wanted. It was a bit on the costly side, but the ability to get some control wound up worth it in the end- I came out spelling kind of like vanilla, with an upper body that came out even. I was actually kind of sad when it started coming off afterward, it looked so nice.

LOVE THIS PLACE! They always have a Groupon that’s 11-16 bucks for 1 month unlimited sessions! Can’t beat that! Friendly staff and they had an awesome 1/2 off upgrade deal back in February.

Surf City is the best! Been a member for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience! Staff and Manager are great. Thank you Brittney, I’ll miss visiting when I move!

I got my first hand spray tan and it was so worth it! I will never go into a spray tanning booth again! This place is super clean and has great service! 5 STARS!

Adrianna did an amazing job on my spray tan. She made me feel super comfortable and treated me as if I was a friend. My tan was perfect, even and not too dark. She explained the do’s and dont’s so that it would last longer. Thanks girl, for everything!

I dont tan here (tanning is included with my gym), but I buy my lotions here. The girls are helpful and knowledgeable with all of their products.

The girls working there are really helpful. It’s definitely overpriced. I got the groupon and the level one bed does nothing for me. I tan really easy and I went twice (one time for 12mins & the next day for 20) and have NO color from it. Not sure when they last changed the bulbs but a little disappointed cause I’m wasting my time and money.

Surf City tanning has terrible customer service. The girls that work there never greet you when you walk in the door, never smile and never make you feel welcomed. When I purchased a groupon about a month ago the blond tried to get me to upgrade so she could gain commission and when I told her no thank you she began to have an attitude. They only allow me to use tanning bed one (level one bed) because I bought a groupon. So if someone is in that bed for 20 minutes, rather than setting me up on another bed (there’s like 8 total) they make me wait for that one bed while anyone that walks in after me gets to tan in the other beds with no wait time. The floor around the tanning beds are thick with grime and the walls are dusty. I don’t recommend Surf City Tanning.

The staff is really friendly and smile a lot. The facilities are always clean and the equipment is in great condition. Great place. They deserve the money you spend with them.

I signed up for a package. Shortly after getting a couple of spray tans, I broke out all over in little red bumps. To be clear: Im not asserting that this establishment caused the skin issues. I called to cancel because, given that I had broken out so shortly after this one change to my regular habits, I thought it was wise to cut off all contact with newly introduced chemicals to my skin. (I will note that after I stopped spray tanning here - and Ive spray tanned in the past - the skin issues totally cleared up. Again, I cant prove causation, but its factually true that I didnt have any skin issues, I got spray tanned here, I did have skin issues, I stopped tanning here, and I dont have skin issues. Could be coincidence.)Anyway, given that I seemed to have a medical condition, I figured that theyd be gracious and allow me to cancel. Eventually they did, but they forced me to come in person and wouldnt do it over the phone. They also insisted that I write a review as compensation for cancelling my membership...when I was suffering from a medical condition after having used their services. (Again, to be clear, I cant prove causation, but its factually true I suffered a medical condition after going here.)Under duress, I wrote a 5 star review so theyd cancel my membership. Im now revising it.When I went in, the woman at the front desk was trying to make it seem like she was going out of her way to do a kindness for me. I was furious I had to come in and I explained that I felt their products caused an allergic reaction and that the only reason I was going along with their proposed solution was because getting out of the deal by paying for 2 months, some lotion, etc. was cheaper than hiring an attorney and I just wanted to be done with it.She then wrote up the cancellation form and had me sign it. I left and then realized I didnt get a copy of the cancellation form that said I didnt owe anything in case they charged me and I had to dispute it.Funny thing...after they insisted I come in person, I walk back into the store to get a copy of the document I signed and they call security. LOL.Im standing there waiting for the line to clear so I can request a copy and in walks a security guard. The woman stops helping other customers to tell the guard they want me out of the store and I explained that I needed a receipt. I literally just wanted a copy of the document I signed, and she makes me wait there while she verifies that I wrote a review for them, writes out a new document, and gives me a copy.The security guard stood there the whole time and I apologized to the guard that she had to sit there due to the store having terrible business practices.What a racket.Im giving them two stars only because they did eventually let me out of a membership early so that my skin could recover from the rash Id gotten (whether from this establishment or wholly unrelated to tanning here) and prior to the incident I did find the staff pleasant.Had they been decent human beings and not been so slimy by demanding a review as compensation for doing what they should have done given the circumstances, I may have returned when I felt brave enough to try spray tanning again to see if my skin reacted again. Of course, given their behavior, I wont darken their doorstep again. Besides, I wouldnt want them to have to call security because I walked into their store looking to pay them money.Id never recommend this place to a friend and Ill certainly never return. The latter likely makes them very happy, and the feeling is mutual.

I absolutely love this place. Rebecca is so awesome..I had so many questions and she went above and beyond to help me . Honestly she makes you so comfortable and because of that i dont care to go anywhere else.

Wish scottsdale had surf city. The custom airbrush is a great price with great results.

Been going to Surf City Tanning for a few months now. Started out with Groupon voucher. I staff is awesome helpful and friendly. Clean beds, beds are kept up. Love my tan.

Not bad. I use to manage a tanning salon so I was aware of products and how the beds worked prior so I knew what to buy and what not to buy. The woman who assisted me with signing me up was friendly, I bought the groupon deal for $16 since Im just tanning to get a base tan than I buy 1 upgrade a week to really develop my color. I also bought a lotion since I also know the importance of quality lotions. It was fun talking about lotions and beds again with her.But my last two visits have left me with not the best impression. The front desk woman was face timing and having a pretty loud conversation.. which Idc, its a tanning salon and there is down time.. But when you do have clients who can overhear your conversation, its just not very professional. The only other friendly recommendation is the weekend hours, I wish they were different to be opened longer than 6, maybe 7 or 8. I personally work 10hr shifts and since they dont open till 9am im already gone for work and close at 6pm, which is when I get off work, it makes it hard to keep my consistent tanning schedule. Sounds silly I know. But for me to get deep rich color I have to go every other day. Just a personal recommendation :)

I will not get over how unbelievably rude the front desk was. It was a blond woman, who as soon as i walked in was talking on her cell phone, put the phone down, first last name, i told her i was there for a groupon, she then huffed and puffed and told the person on the phone in a rude voice i have to call you back, then i told her ive gone tanning before, i worked in a salon for a few years, im very educated on tanning. she was all pissed off because i didnt wanna upgrade. argued with me about my tan time, wouldnt let me do higher than 10 minutes in a old ass bed that 20 minutes really wouldnt have made a huge difference. Looked at me like i was a total jackass, i still said my pleases and thank yous while she sat there being a total jerk. Anyways tanned my short ten minutes, and walked out, NO thank you, have a nice day, etc. Nope as soon as i walked out the room she was talking on her cell phone *go figure* and nearly shoved me to go clean the bed. did not say a word to me. This girl needs to learn some serious customer service, im 23 years old propably around her age and am NEVER EVER rude the way she is! i wasted $19 because i refuse to even walk back into that salon. she was a nightmare
