While they have helped with my parents in the pass, how do you obtain a medical assessment for their services when your 80yr old mother had a doctor who has retired and they cannot connect with another doctor for help? I was told to contact a visiting nurse for this purpose only to be told they need a referral for her to be seen, of which pca cant be of help with. Loss Cause!!

Traditional advocacy and social services agency devoted to protecting and advancing the rights of senior citizens.

The service with this agency is and has been horrible since i started dealing with them. Rhe Service Coordinator assigned to my mother does not return phone calls promptly, and is always on the defensive. I had an appt. today at 2:30pm, and the Coordinator has yet to arrive and/ or call me to advise a delay. My mothers care has been held up because of this.

VERY DISAPPOINTING WHEN THEY MAKE YOU GO THRU ALL THAT TIME AND HASSLE AND WAITING FOR AN ANSWER IF THEY WILL SEND SOMEONE TO TAKE THE CARE MY MOTHER NEEDS DUE TO HER BLINDNESS AND OTHER SIGNS OF HELP SHE NEEDS..THEY NEVER EVEN SENT ANY ACCEPTANCE OR DENIED ANY INFORMATION JUST DONT CARE I GUESS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN PHILADELPHIA CORPORATION OF AGING AND THAT IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL OF THEM FOR ALL THEY SAY THEY DO!!! Horrible experience! Some one is not doing their job right. Ive applied twice and still have been denied. Something isnt right! Ive done all the procedures to make sure my mothers case isnt closed but they take forever to send documents and even lose them! I hope I find a better way to care for my mother.

It has been a month since an assessment has been done on my mother. When I checked the status on her application, PCA, never turned it in. I will find another way to get care for her without using PCA. One star is more than what they deserve.

I will say that at least they answer their phones Ive never had a problem getting through to my coordinator but Im very annoyed with the fact that I was told for 2 weeks that office of long-term taking awhile for the process of my grandmothers hours to be approved when really my coordinator from PCA hadnt turned in the hours when I found a Home Care Agency I wanted to go with like they were supposed to I had already finished my training with the Homecare agency and the hours were still not approved when I call office of Home Care Living they told me PCA I had just turned in the hours 2 days prior to my call so I dont know what was going on I dont want to just assume that somebody didnt do their job right but what else could I think when Ive been waiting and being told by by coordinator for 2 weeks now that they were waiting on office of Home Care Living when really my coordinator hadnt sent in the hours at a timely fashion

Useless - 3 years ago I made a request to help get my grandfather out of a horrible hoarding and neglect situation, they did nothing except say they TRIED to get in. Yesterday he was admitted to the hospital - social worker was assigned and is actually trying to help. Sad because his house is less than 2 blocks from this office.
