I’ve never had such a lousy experience at a nail salon. I’m here from Florida, visiting, and getting my nails is usually a relaxing experience. From the moment I walked in I should’ve walked out but I have a wedding this evening and I couldn’t risk going on the hunt for another place. I had researched nail salons and always came back to this place. Mina greeted me at the door and appeared annoyed at me Bc I didn’t want to use the books of colors. I’m used to just looking at the bottles but her attitude showed she was very unhappy. Thankfully someone else started on my toes but she appeared to not know what she was doing as Mina came by and ended up doing the toes for her. The lady who did my nails, Joy, was nice and cordial but by the time I got to her, I was unhappy. An unusual feeling while getting my nails done. I noticed another girl was receiving the same unhappy attitude while getting her gel nails done. I’ve owned businesses before and know the golden rule of making customer happy. I don’t tend to take the time to write reviews but I felt the need since other reviews here had mistakenly brought me to this place. On top of the bad attitude I was then told my combo would only accept cash, and I was never told that to begin with. They accepted my card but looked surprised at my below 20% tip and repeated my total several times until she ended up pointing to the 20% suggestions at the bottom. I told the lady I knew my amount was low but I was unhappy with the service. Definitely not going back.
My friends brought me to get my very 1st manicure. From the time we walked in, up until the time we left, the staff was very professional, and nice. I love the fact that they give massages while youre waiting for the polish to dry which was a plus. The staff is polite and courteous. I will definitely be back in 2 weeks.
Best manipedi experience I’ve ever had. Would definitely come back when I’m in Philly again.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I came here because they seemed to have good reviews overall, however I was pretty disappointed. They did an overall mediocre job with poor attention to detail. Not terrible if you don’t look closely or care too much.
Best pedicure in Philadephia. The free wine is discontinued. Still outstanding
Good variety, fair dealing, feel confident in dealing with them.
Customer service and actual service was phenomenal. Very friendly and COVID-19 adherence to safety and awareness
Its my go to spot. They always do a great job. Neck and shoulder massage while you wait for your nails to dry. Last time they gave me some nice sparkles for my gel mani. Gave 4 stars because my friend and I made appointments but still had to wait almost an hour before we were seen.
This place is terrible. I’m not even sure where to start....- pedicure, she scrubbed so hard on the side of my foot I have raw skin and had to tell her to not do the same on my other foot- asked 5 times for matching gel/ regular polish and still didn’t get matching polish- pedicure and acrylic refill - 85 dollars- I was treated as if all of this was my fault lolThere are 1000 places in the city.... I recommend any other but this one
LOVE this place!!! Every service preformed is done exceptionally. The $30 lash extensions have become my new guilty pleasure. They last close to an entire month if youre gentle with them. Plus, free touch ups are always offered. Everyone is super polite. 5/5. Highly recommend.
My new fav place! First time was awesome, I came an hour before closing nd got a mani/pedi nd they took their time as if they just opened. Loved it so much I came back nd I will be returning
Jenny is amazing!!! I’m extremely picky and hard to impress!! I’m in the industry and have been to some of the most high end/prestigious nail salons/spas in and around downtown Philadelphia and New York City. Jenny is on her A game!! Her attention to detail is incredible.. she’s gentle, thorough and genuinely kind. Quick too! I’ve never taken the time to write a review for anyone or anything. Go see Jenny at symphony nails, u won’t be disappointed!!
OMG this was my first time coming here today and it was SO GOOD. The experience was literally amazing, I got a mani and a pedi, the ladies were so nice and took their time fixing my nails up. Definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a new nail salon or wants to try it. Super clean, fast and efficient service. I accidentally messed one of my nails up and the lady had no problem fixing it. The people here are super sweet and such a positive environment!
Where has this place been all my life?! Ive seen it so many times, but never realized how much they actually do. Today I wanted to get my nails done, so I decided to give them a try. My nails are BEAUTIFUL! Just what I wanted! I saw that they also did massages, so I asked to do that, too. The massage was wonderful! They even did hot stone. Im a fiend for hot stone. The people who work there are really friendly, too. I will definitely be back!
Luv my nails they is very attentive!!!!... very friendly 😊 the atmosphere is very pleasant and nice!!!.. but its very 💵💵💵💵💵pricey!!.. and the credit cards which is a plus!!!!.. i jus dont like fee they charge when you swipe your card or any card!!.. its $7 I think that is way to high, but other then that yes I recommend I will go there again.
Did a great job with a mans 👀👀 👣👣 and hella nice
Allows their customers to pay for services with stolen debit cards. Very shady business.
Service is really great and staff is very nice!
Ive tried a variety of other nail salons that were closer to where I live, but time after time, I come back to Symphony Nails. The employees take pride in their work, but are also quick and efficient, especially with dip manicures. Ive never left feeling disappointed in the quality or experience. Highly recommend!
I have only amazing things to say about this place! They are super clean, and take Covid precautions very seriously! Your temperature is taken at the door, you are given hand sanitizer as you walk in, and there are protective barriers between everything. Rachael is an absolute perfectionist as I am and I have always left there with the perfect nails!
I got my eyebrows done here back in May and I was very pleased so I thought I would return just to have my Acrylic soaked off my nails during my lunch break. I called and made and appointment and specified that I wanted a SOAK Off due to two of my nails being sensitive, I got to the salon on time, immediately got into a chair and began the process. The nail tech RIPPED off all of my Acrylic when I had originally requested a soak. The nail that was damaged actually broke in the middle of the nail. She was trying to move fast and cut my finger with one of the drills. My nail beds look and feel horrible, I did not get the service I asked for. I dont like feeling rushed, especially for something Im spending my money on, and when your salon has no customers. There is no reason to rush. Now my finger is bleeding and my nail beds are trashed because the nail tech wanted to hurry up instead of taking her time. I will not be returning!
They were very professional and did an excellent job! I also loved how clean and organized the location was! Ill definitely be going back!
They kept switching the prices so I had to pay $240 for something I would have got for $100 or less, if my nails were fine I wouldn’t even have a problem but they look bad and is burning so bad that even my finger tips are hurting
I don’t give out 5 stars casually, only when something exceeds expectations. My pedicure at symphony nails did that! Very very kind staff, unusually service minded. Lots of lovely massage with my pedicure: loved it! And all at a great price!!
My nails was real cute nice shape feet cute nicely done but high prices but it was worth it
They did not size my tips correctly for acrylic.. one nail wasnt glued properly and is crooked. I was over charged for a poor job
My girl Savina was outstanding, first time here and Ill definitely be back in two weeks. I came as a walk-in and I got a regular pedicure (brought my own polishes) and ended up getting a 10 minute massage because shes super talented.... best way to relax on my Sunday off 💚
This place is terrible. I went to get a gel manicure and they started my nails and stopped with in 5 minutes because other people came in. Why start my nails if you have an appointment she told me she could finish when she was done two pedicures. I had dip on my nails and they were left half on my nails with black going up my fingers. Safe to safe I just walked to another nail salon within 10 feet because there are so many options and this is not a good one
This is the best pedi Ive ever had. The massage was amazing, the tech did a great job on my cuticles, and the paint was perfect. They made certain I was dry, and have a neat trick to make certain that the polish doesnt get on shoes if something wasnt quite done drying. They even gave me a little back massage while my toes dried.I wish I lived in Philly, Id go back.
I called at 6:42 to see if they would take 3 pedicures and a kid’s toes polish. They not only took us, but gave great service and gave my little one a pedi as well. Great back massage to cap it all off!
They used my fave. Scent, brown sugar and fig! No pedi at the time that I went a year ago
Nice, clean, upscale. I went during the workday and it was empty. I received a good quality pedicure. Loses a star for the weird foot bath bowls they have. They are not very sturdy and bend if you put too much weight on them, felt a little weird and unstable.
So clean, so big, they do everything in here. Always a good conversation with whoever is helping you!!
My nails were super delicate. The SNS powder they used make my nails so strong. I can finally grow natural long nails now. Who doesn’t like real nails?
Ive said it before, so Ill say it again. Hands down most hidden gem. They legit wined and pampered me. Even after I missed my scheduled appointment. Ive been going to them for over 3 years and consistently am surprised. My girl Meana (brilliant) ALWAYS knows what color I want before I even speak; always makes sure to add the perfect touch of elegance. Waiting is made MORE enjoyable, id rather enjoy a glass of wine and know how good my experience will be then go else where, since moving to Philly. Not even gonna get started. with the massage expertise that gets me EVERY time. Hands down, if you want to treat yourself with good vibes, good music, good drinks, always a tv or two with something on, good-CLEAN!!!!!!- CANT FREAKIN STRESS THAT ENOUGH HOLY SHMOLEY, just do yourself a favor. Love my Symphony!!!!!!!
My nails are cute, but the comments regarding painful clipping of areas of the cuticle were true for me. One nail of my pedicure is crooked, but the massage was good. Expensive, but probably par for that area of Philly.
Best massage I have ever gotten. If I worked downtown again I would go more often.
Nice clean salon and the service was friendly. I will be back soon
Great Chinese-style pedicure massage, inspired by reflexology. Very good service and reasonable prices.
I love Jenny! She makes me feel like family and that’s why my entire family still travels from Baltimore and Delaware back to Philly to get the service her salon offers😍😘
The price is unbelievable, friendly, clean
Almost gave me the wrong color. They did my gel nails (which the manicure itself was done poorly, and ended up filing away some excess gel myself later) while doing my pedicure, so that when my toes were done, I then had to sit and wait for them to dry, which took forever because their fans are terrible. (A normal mani/pedi is done toes first, so that they are drying while the nails are being done. ) In short, I wont be returning here...
I love them
The woman who did my feet barely scrubbed them. I should’ve never went in after i noticed there was only one other customer in a chair. A waste of money
I went in for a pedicure on my day off and I literally walked out with my feet bleeding.First off the lady told me they were closing within an hour and a half when I scheduled my appointment. I walked in thinking I would receive a quality pedicure. The water was scalding hot and she barely adjusted the temperature. She did not wear gloves, she did not use anything special on my callouses (barely using the pomous stone), she did not even try to buff down my toe nails, she barely cut them, and instead cut way too far into my cuticles to the point where my feet were bleeding when I left. I even flinched a couple times and she continued to go for the same spot until I told her to leave it alone. The whole thing felt very rushed and like she just wanted to get it over with. When she was done I then walked over to the nail drying table and she gave me the worst back massage ive ever received in my entire life. I got this as a groupon deal thinking I would treat myself on my day off and it turned out to be the worst! DONT GO HERE!
Went in for a pedicure I was suppose to get a discount for paying cash which I did not receive I paid the same price on the board $50 for a gel pedicure and didn’t receive a back massage all the other woman there did, not sure if I’d go back I feel a bit “taken”
Good prices on pedicures. Hot stone massage for your feet.
A great massage! Linda was awesome!
The best!
Good service
Always great!
Love love love!!!
Awesome experience!!!
🥰❤
