I’ve been here a few times and it’s usually been just OK. But the last time I went for a mani-pedi, I brought my own nail polish and top coat from home and my manicurist thinned them out without telling or asking me. They were not regular polishes so it ruined them, and they were only 1 month old. After my polish only lasted a few days, chipped and cracked because of this.

The best nailery I think I’ve ever experienced. all of the nail technicians are super pretty and sweet. I didn’t get the techs name that worked with me, but she took her time and did a great job with my manicure. then she offered me a free massage while my nails were drying! πŸ˜πŸ’—

This is the worst nail salon I’ve ever been too. The lady that did my nails didn’t know what she was doing. The man that stands at the door tried forcing me to leave a tip and my nails weren’t even painted nor buffered. My question is how are they in business???

I just moved into town and pass the place daily so decided to check it out and I am so happy I did! I was welcomed with friendly faces and had excellent service! They took their time to make sure my nails looked perfect and they give complimentary massages while your nails dry!!! I was extremely happy with everything and will definitely make this my new spot.

Go somewhere else, plain and simple. You would think that this salon would offer better services because they are in the somewhat ritzy area of Rittenhouse Square. I went here intending to get a pedicure and my eyebrows done for an upcoming vacation. The woman that waxed my eyebrows literally created a bald spot where I previously didnt have one and one of my eyebrows was thin and the other was kind of thick. So basically, I have to fill in my eyebrows for all of my vacation photos. I paid the designated amount and I always tip but the service was simply bad. (You are supposed to use a new stick when you dip into the pot of wax and she did not. The stick was already waiting on top of the pot of wax, which in hindsight makes me think that they wax everyone with the same gross community popsicle stick.) Then the guy at the front desk basically demanded that I tip the lady despite the poor service. If you want to go to a poorly lit salon with high prices and wax that makes your eyebrows break out, go here. If not, save yourself some irritation and money and go somewhere else where the people are less rude.

Spa pedicure felt inattentive and rushed despite the fact that I made an appointment and there were multiple other nail techs ready and waiting for walk ins. The woman who did my pedicure was rough and honestly my feet feel softer when I pumice them myself. Nice polish selection but overall I was dissatisfied with the service and I definitely wouldnt return.

This is by and far my favorite place to go for a pedicure in Philly. They take the time to do a wonderful job and have clean amenities. The staff are absolutely fantastic, friendly and professional and you really can’t beat a neck massage while you wait for your nails to withdraw.Really worth passing the many other nail places around and heading here. Make it a girls day and get a glass of wine at Tria afterwards!

I have been here 4 times now and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nail shop in Philadelphia. I get a standard manicure but, they have drying machines that dry your nails by the time youre out the door. Prices are extremely reasonable and staff is so helpful and friendly!

I just came from there. Don’t like the set i got. $55 for something that was rushed. she kept complaining about how β€œ long β€œ my nails were.. I really don’t recommend anyone getting anything but a simple manicure. they weren’t trained to acrylics at ALL. shape is completely ugly. i’m higly disappointed and will not being going back .

I like getting my mani/pedi as part of my self-care routine. I do it pretty regularly. I was first introduced to this place by my friend, Donna, who frequented this nail salon when she was still living in Philly. The 1st time I was there I was with my friend Donna who is white. I am a person of color.. The owner, a Korean guy, greeted us both nicely. I had a fairly good experience and it was good to have a β€œgo to” spot that’s just around the corner from my office. Months later I had an event to go to & needed to get a mani/pedI and remembered this place. I greeted the owner and he was much more lukewarm and very curt towards me. I thought hmm he must be having a bad day. I always like to give a person the benefit of the doubt. Then, I noticed he was much more friendlier with white people than the people of color whoever walked in during those 2 hr period I was getting my mani/pedi. I thought is it me or am I seeing what i’m seeing?! Perhaps it was just me. But no, this happened frequently just about every time I came to get my mani/pedi with my gal (if she wasn’t so good I wouldn’t come back to this place because of the owner and the way he treats the workers). One time, I had a mani/pedi and a 20 minute massage and understandably the woman that was giving me the service took a longtime. I took a break to go to the ladies room and I noticed that the owner called the woman aside and was scolding her in front of everyone else in his stern Korean voice. The lady was in tears. I thought how can I bring justice to this situation. Just now, I wanted a mani/pedi and he was just as equally rude to me once again. I walked out and thought I’d finally make this public. Customer beware: This place is not a high-end spa. They charge $45 for a regular mani/pedi and throw in a 5-minute shoulder-neck massage for free. The owner could really use some soft skills and customer service training. You could tell because not a single worker in this place laughs or looks remotely happy. I will continue to get service from this place because I want to support the women and tip them well.

You would think it would be easy to find a great nail salon in center city Philadelphia. Not. We have gone from place to place and in the end, been disappointed. Rittenhouse Nails at 17th and Sansom is the exception.Total attention to detail in prepping nails and caring for foot rough spots is what they do.. For me, its not about the polish. I can do that myself. Creating a nail bed that is pristine is the creme de la creme of a manicure and pedicure. Enjoy. The surprise is the great massage!

FIVE STARS HANDS DOWN. I come here every 2 weeks or more and always have a pleasant experience. I almost always walk in without an appointment, I have waited 10 mins tops but usually can get started right away. I need to start by saying the (free) neck/back/shoulder massages they give with each manicure or pedicure are TO DIE FOR. I haven’t ever timed them but I would assume they massage you for around 5 mins or so after you are done with your main treatment. And of course you can pay extra to get a longer one in a real massager chair but it’s not even needed because the free one is so good. Anyway, the manicure/pedicures they give are also always great. I have been to sooo many salons where they mess up a simple mani, but not here. Every experience here has brought perfect nails for 2+ weeks (I get gels and they last longer then when I have gotten them at most other places). Overall, I highly recommend going here.

Spa Prices for bad service.I walked in the evening before my actual services and scheduled an appointment for 9am the next day requesting to have my acrylic nails removed and a gel manicure. The woman closing looked over my nails and seemed confused, so I asked if thats something they could do. (Some places do not use acrylic). She asssured me that they could it and she was just wondering how long Id had the acrylics on.When I arrived for my appointment (8:55am), the woman at the front counter said she couldnt find my reservation, but they were able to accommodate in less than 5 minutes.Literally, FIVE people came over to look at my nails and were confused how to proceed with removing the acrylics. They did this for like 10 minutes. They tried removing them with a business card! I should have left at this point, but I was attending a wedding in a few hours and really needed the manicure. I asked what was the confusion and it was explained to me that because I didnt have the acrylics on very long, it would be hard to take off(???). So, I said very clearly, Are you able to remove the nails and give me a gel manicure? Its okay if this is a problem. I can get a refill on the acrylics or go somewhere else to have them removed. It really is okay. They assured me that they could do it.Eventually, one woman used a drill (buffer??). I could feel on some nails that she was filing them too low, but she would stop when I said it hurt. The gel manicure was nothing special. The polish was actually uneven on some nails (French mani), but not super noticeable. For $60, I expected better. There were no added services -not even cuticle trimming/pushback. IHere I am, two months later and my nails are awful. They are so thin and brittle from the drill. One star for the nail color selection.

I came here for waxing and a pedicure for my 10 year high school reunion. I came here a few other times for waxing, as well. The lady that waxed my face (eyebrows, lip, chin, neck, sideburns) was unable to answer my question about how much it would be. Maybe, she was afraid I would leave, I dont know. I usually pay 25 at other places. My pedicure was relaxing as it should be. When my feet were drying, I had a massage. Everything was okay, but after I left my right shoulder was in pain. So my question is, are they licensed to do this? I hope this pain goes away by tonight for my reunion. In the end, I was surprised by the bill. Waxing came to be 47 dollars, which I thought was outrageous. Pedicure was 30, which is reasonable. So altogether it was 77 dollars.

Every time I decide to get my nails done at some place other than my usual place, I have to ask myself Do I really hate myself this much? Because apparently I do. I needed to get a gel mani/regular pedi done for a vacation and this place seemed convenient enough. At the salon I normally go to this would have been about $40 max but these people have the gall to charge an entire $70 for a gel manicure and to paint my toes. This pedicure did not have any bells and whistles, in fact she barely filed or did anything. I was sat in the chair and 5 minutes later my toes were painted. Mind you this is not an upscale salon, its a shoddy little salon where you can peer into their moldy basement and the instruments they provide you to dry your hands were a pile of 10 party napkins on top of a water jug sat atop a trash can. The technician was obviously not skilled because the gel on my nails burned when it was curing. Lastly, they had a boy working the front counter, maybe 13 years old who was visibly overwhelmed and uncomfortable talking to the customers, and I hold no blame to him but the woman that was delegating to him. They didnt accept tips on cards, so I paid the $70 as my toes were drying and was walking out to go to Wawa where they have safe, surcharge free ATMs. The woman yelled something to the boy who then stopped me from going out to say You didnt tip her and gestured to the girl that did my nails in the back of the salon. How incredibly uncouth and unprofessional to stop someone for leaving to demand a tip. I explained to the boy that I had no cash on me and that I was going to Wawa to get money out. He said we have an ATM right here to which I replied I see but im going to Wawa where there is no surcharge and he pleaded with me Are you sure? as if he was scared he would face backlash from the woman in charge for letting a customer go without tipping. I do blame myself for not asking how much services were beforehand, but I never expected a small, no appointment needed, poorly-lit place to be so overpriced. Please if you so desperately want to spend $70 on getting your nails done, go to an actual salon that is clean and organized. This place was a degrading rip-off with a shiesty woman in charge who sends a child to demand tips from people and not let them leave unless a tip is received.
