We have a great working relationship with our PLS agent and Teams. We are a local Southern California flatbed operation. Many times due to unforeseen situations we will have to change the carriers to pickup the assigned load and they are always willing to work with us. A good relationship between a broker and a carrier is about communication. The broker responsibility to get all the info about handling the load and the carrier responsibility to know how to handle the load, the shipper and the receiver. This is a winning combination when both parties do their jobs and PLS does their job for our carriers.
We have moved several loads for PLS over the years covering various lanes. Outside of normal transportation issues, we have always had a good experience and they have always communicated well with our team. They always put forth a good effort to get our trucks loaded and unloaded in a timely fashion and our company paid in a timely manner.
Issue involving them charging us for a lumper fee because the receipt was not processed by their own agent/employee. Dealing with a situation right now, where theyre wanting us to make an additional stop free of charge and calling it charity.Id avoid these people, its a headache.
Long story short dont haul for these people if you dont want to be shorted pay. Hauled 100s of loads for them all perfect. Lost a turbo was a day late. Shipper could care less. Back charged 600 on a 800 dollar load. I knew better. If your in this industry you already know. Stay away all these drivers arent lying.
I did a load for PLS Logistics on June 16,2020 and now I have a short pay because the broker does not want to pay me the extra $150 that we agreed that he was going to pay me because when we booked a load he told me that the load can delivery next morning and I received my first confirmation for 550.00 then when I called him to let him know that my truck was loaded he told me oh sorry but you will have to deliver around 10 am because is a job site and they dont have parking there and the crane arrive at 10,I explained to him that I will need more money because we already had another load for picked up and that I was going to need to cancel it and he agreed to pay me 150 extra. My truck was unloaded at 1 pm.Later 2 days later I got another rate con for 550 again and it seemed strange to me but I thought it was a system error because how I am going to think that a broker from such a big company has to be a lie and a thief his name is Richard KING.THEN MY FACTORY COMPANY CALLED 2 MONTHS LATER BECAUSE WE HAD A SHORT PAY FOR$150,I know that is only 150 but is my drivers job and this can happen to anyone for more money and it is something that happens in this industry because they dont pay layover, detention and etc but nobody writes a review maybe because they dont time or sometime think it is useless and they may be right because I called the corporate office and nobody answer and called manager office on his branch and he told me that he cant do anything. Thanks, be safe and god bless the truckers.
TERRIBLE company to haul for. We sat for hours on end trying to delivery, notified them of the delay and they will not pay detention. Also have a TONU charge that they are refusing to pay. Just look at all of the negative review stating the same situation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
7 days I waited for detention and keep calling and emailing Gage Schilling the Broker on this load, he told me they company policy is they not pay detention on every load, so now what we suppose to do, to tell our driver forget those hours, just delete them from logbook and BTW your check will be short because PLS are not paying detention after job well done, If we ware aware that PLS is not paying detention we will never book load with them. Good job PLS one more carrier will never work with you again.I wish there was google option no stars at all.
I see a lot of bad reviews on here so I want to share MY experience as someone who has worked IN logistics and has worked extensively with 3rd party logistics companies.Ive been working with Austin L for a couple months now and the service is OUTSTANDING every time, with every load that Ive had him quote for me.Rates are competitive, communication is excellent, and I havent yet had any issues with transportation of the actual loads.Overall this company has been very easy to work with and I hope they will continue to provide excellent service.
Absolutely horrible service, the level of incompetence is off the chart. Poor communication, lost load, zero accountability.
This company is a cancer for the transportation industry, it does not solve any problem between carriers and shippers. They dont pay detention, they dont pay TONU, they are only interested in stealing money from your pocket,Carriers stay away from them.
Horrible company to haul for if I had the option of negative stars I would give them that. Did a round trip from Phoenix Az to Blythe CA back to Phoenix AZ. Less than 300 miles round trip Should have taken 1 day took 3 days. Took 5 hours to load in Phoenix from 9am to 2pm so couldnt make the delivery time in Blythe had to keep load on trailer next day got to job site at 8am didnt leave till 6pm. So I missed the delivery time in Phoenix AZ. Had to once again keep load on trailer over night. Finally on the 3rd day was able to deliver. 15 hours of wait time PLS said to send in detention time with signed in out times which I did and they still refused to pay. I will not haul for them ever again.
Only one word I describe PLS LOGISTICS SERVICES is Real THIEVES in the broker market. They do not answer any phone calls. They are real embarrassment to the broker industry. Do not work them at all. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Here is what happen with us. We submitted lumper receipt $394.00 to broker team with in few hours after delivery. PLS accounting short paid us saying that we never submitted lumper receipt for $394.00. Even We have provided email proof they still refused to pay us, finally we filled SURETY BOND CLAIM on PLS LOGISTICS and we are getting paid back from PLS THIEVES.PEOPLE DO NOT DO ANY LOAD WITH THEM THEY ARE THE REAL SCUM BAG IN THE BROKER INDUSTRY STAY AWAY FROM PLS LOGISTICS SERVICES.
Rude, pushy, repeated solicitous calls. My regrets if they somehow got your number, because they will never stop calling.
If only they answered phone calls or emails. the worst company to deal with
Watch out with this people.. they send you loads and 30 minutes after they cancel you and give them to another company just because the other company would charge less money.. they also dont pay the whole amount of money that they suppose to pay for hrs of detention
No star should give to them, but I am still giving hem 1 star, wish they correct their mistake quickly. they improperly put my 40 regular container on flatbed chassis, the warehouse thought it unsafe, not allow them loaded, but they still charged me $2200 from Dallas to Fort Smith AR72901.I requested more than 15 days, they delayed in reply again and again, at last they rejected my request. they even has no knowledge of container moving, put a regular container on flatbed chassis. it is unsafe to handle business like this kind of company.
Can I give 0 stars?Rep Victor Piccione is very unprofessional. Do not use this place. It is a scam.
Very very horrible and more worst company ever if your dispatcher books a load from this company PLS logistics Services never take it they will lie to you one day pu next day delivery but it will never gonna happened I have lost my 24 h to get loaded and they changed an appt time for delivery please whoever reads this massage dont lie drivers they are also human being they have also family to visit them they have also time to make business please dont waste time of drivers without us no one can live better
Hassle to get detention pay. Shady people stay away.We didnt get paid for the load as it was delivered later requested date. And broker couldnt reschedule delivery until a week after original date. WE got paid nothing...not for a week of holding this load or for the load at all. We contacted PLS several times to get this resolved but its just a waist of time.WE DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN!!!!!
Calls are not answered and prices are not good
Please beware! Booked a “ no tarp” load for my driver, at the end driver had to tarp it, broker promised to pay him $100. I was asking for revised rate confirmation and never got it from the broker. Day after he said he is not going to pay me, he wasn’t even planning to pay me, and when I asked to speak with a manager he hang up in me telling “ I am the manager”. I guess this guy can’t even imagine how hard it is to tarp with 8 ft tarp. Nobody can treat people the way this “ manager” does!
The worst broker I ever worked with. Today I booked the load with Grant Shar and he was holding my truck for 3 hours and said they got it covered couple hundreds $ cheeper. No load, no TONU. Dont work with this guy!!!
Posting loads with fake phone numbers-waste of time.12/05/2020Weve been trying to reach our broker the whole daytwenty calls and six emails later-no one replied to our emails nor returned our calls. Is this a normal behavior from PLS employees?
Horrible place to do business with. Very dysfunctional, HIGHLY i repeat HIGHLY not recommended to work with or work for this company.
Carrier Beware!!! Did several loads with promises of Detention, but refuse to pay. Also if you pay there Lumper Fee out of pocket, do not expect to be reimbursed. Very Shady Company
They do not answer the phone...ones you looking for the detentions and the mean if the receiver reject the load and you sit few hours after so many calls and e-mail to them they send you another address to drop their freight....either you take the load where they needed or ask the money to there 50-100 mile with out pay also attitude dispatchOverall do not book a load from them unless you want headache and hang up the phone on youThank you for reading
Trash brokerage company
Very unorganized.
