Extremely unexpected surprise to find a vast array of very useful and essential items that blew me away. I never expected a hardware store to be so large and very well stocked. I simply needed a sponge mop and found a Mecca of cleaning tools and supplies. I spent more than I planned and I wanted to explore more but my time was limited.

This store is great, needed some screws and the staff was eager to help. The gentleman that helped me was so knowledgeable and kind. Will definitely be back for my hardware needs.

The people who work here are very helpful. They know where everything is so you can make an efficient stop if you need to be in and out quickly. The store has a lot of what youll need and its great to have this resource in the neighborhood rather than driving further to get lost within a big box store. Stanleys is a gem of a store. While I probably wouldnt come here to buy large amounts of lumber or other building supplies their plumbing and hardware section have helped me more times than I could tell you. The people that work here are knowledgeable and willing to work through strange one off issues that Ive brought them from my 150 year old house while doing repairs. Even though Im a woman that often deals with mansplaining, its never happened to me here - which I really appreciate. I do a lot of DIY repairs and I easily visit Stanleys multiple times a month because theyre my nearest hardware store. I also appreciate that they keep vintage styles of hardware that dont carry in a lot of big box stores - they really cater to their local cliental.

Very helpful, I was buying a lot of Christmas decorations with no clue what I wanted but these two girls at the register did not mind my frequent questions about the items that interesed me. I wish I had of seen their name tags I would love to list them just to let them know they are doing great customer service. Happy holidays.

Stanely’s is an excellent Hardware Store. The prices are slightly more than the big box stores. But it is worth it for the level of service they provide. The store staff always greats the customer and provide help to the customer. Which is why it is my go to place for home projects.

They have a very large selection for being a relatively small store! The staff is exceptionally helpful. Items tend to be a bit more expensive than the big box stores, but its worth it for the convenience (right in our neighborhood) and knowledgeable staff support. Weve purchased everything from home renovation supplies to cleaning supplies to decor, and weve also used their rental items including ladders and power tools.

Ernies the man! Always helpful staff, I usually get asked 2-3 times if I need help with anything. If someone cant provide an answer to a project question theyll call another staff member or who can. Their prices are reasonable for being a local True-Value, and their selection is solid despite their smaller size. When they do run out of things theyll let you know exactly when it will come in.

Excellent customer service. They were able to identify my no-name generic bathroom faucet cartridge and let me know it was already on order, due back in stock in 3 days. They were better than Killians in Chestnut Hill!

The people who work here are the last living example of excellent customer service left in America. They always seem to be fully staffed, (which is a LUXURY for modern customers as all other stores seem to cut costs these days by only ever running an insufficient skeleton crew). The staff is always there to offer help as soon as you walk in the door. Not only that but they are very knowledgable and have helped me with many projects and rescued me from many potential disasters. You could never get professional advice like this from one of the big, corporate, chain monstrosities. Do yourself a favor and support this business.

They do a good job of following COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. This is my local hardware store so I come here whenever I need something that I dont need to go all the way to the Big Box stores in Plymouth Meeting for.

This is a good hardware store with a lot of stock and pretty standard prices. Their customer service is really outstanding and the place is very clean and well-organized it has just become my go-to hardware store and I go to the hardware store a lot. Also as a woman I appreciate that so far no one has given me the look (what can I do for you little lady condescension).

Besides normal house repair stuff, I go to the hardware store to solve random problems. The staff has always been patient and offered different workable answers while I muddled through a solution. Its well stocked and you can find most things you might need there, including lumber or plastic or other materials. Its an awesome store.

The staff here is always friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are average but considering I dont need to drive far, Im sure Im saving in gas. My only complaint is the hours are not as long as the larger stores.Update: As usual, the staff at True Value is amazing. I tried everything to get the old lock off my mailbox to replace it but it was stuck. I brought the entire door in and it seems the lock was installed in a way that required it to be grinded off. They took it into the back, got the lock off, and then made sure I purchased the correct lock and helped install it.Update: I decided to add the fifth star because honestly, this place is great. I never have problems and theyre even my go to for recommendations when I need a professional. My original complaint is still true, their hours are not as convenient as the big box stores, but they make up for it with their service.

This place is great, 30yrs been going, was a small packed hardware store that a family has owned for along time. But even at a bigger store, the help is UNBELIEVABLE, go to Lowes or Depot, cant find a soul to help, here BAMMMM there is always help.

Stanleys is awesome. A real local gem. Most of the staff there are retired professionals with a diverse amount of expertise. Theyve helped me through plumbing, electrical and under projects at home. I always feel confident going in there that Ill be able to talk to somebody knowledgeable, get good advice, and leave with what I need. Today was the 1st time Id been in a while and they seem very serious about social distancing and taking all the necessary covid precautions.

I love this place. Weve all had the experience of going to Home Depot or Lowes, and spending ten or more minutes walking around to find an employee, who then doesnt even really put any effort into helping you.At Stanleys, there are a ton of people working there who are all super helpful and will take the time to answer any questions and offer advice on how to do something. They also have services for cutting lumber and stuff which is great if youre in an apartment and dont have the tools yourself. I cant recommend this place enough.

A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Super helpful staff. Only complaint would be that they dont carry a ton of lumber and they dont always have whats needed as far as lumber but if I call ahead of time they know exactly what they do have. Anything else theyre golden.

You cant walk 10 feet into this store without someone asking if they can help you! And they wont just give you the aisle number of the thing you need and send you in your way. Theyll walk you to it and make sure you find what youre looking for. If youre looking for a reason not to drive out to Lowes or HD, Stanleys is it!

Excellent service. Good selection relative to the size of the store. Lots of different services and rentals available. Sure the prices are a little higher than a big box store, but in my experience, you quickly make up for this extra cost via saved time on your Overall project. You get the right products for the job along with expert advice.

Just went in to get a length of steel cable and have it swaged with a sleeve so I can wrap it around a lockbox for work. One guy asked if I needed help but was in a big rush, as soon as I told him what I needed he said they cant do that and walked off with no explanation. I stood there curiously and asked loudly why it could not be done to which he stated while 50 feet away and back turned toward me that it was against the law. Keep in my I was holding a length of cable cord in my hand with exactly what I needed done and performed at this store location previously.I asked another employee the same thing thinking maybe the one guy just didnt want to deal with me and he stated it was against store policy. I again showed this person the length of cable I brought in and affirmed to him that this was done in that exact store previously. He stated they used to do that all the time but stopped. He offered to rent me a tool for $20 if I wanted to do it myself to which I declined.I tried doing some research on what would make looping a cable with a sleeve illegal in PA and was unable to find anything remotely close to an answer.

We love Stanleys. We own two older properties in the area and cant be running to a big hardware store all the time and Stanleys is perfect. They have the basics and the staff is fantastic! As a female, Ive had less than perfect interactions with employees in larger hardware stores who immediately assume that I dont know what I am talking about and that has never happened here. The prices arent the lowest but you get what you pay for and at Stanleys you pay for the convenience and helpfulness of everyone who works there.

This store is a generations of kids and have been there for years. They have everything you need in a hardwarwe stre. Staff is polite and friendly as soon as you come in the door.

Professional cabinet maker. While I cant get all my tools here I would come to Stanleys ANY time over either the low/pot big boxes. Ernie is the best and the rest of the staff is about 1000x more helpful then those other places. Plus. They stock more then people think. Lumber. Etc. Just ask before you assume they dont carry it.I just brought in a three year old rubber house that had lifetime warranty with manufacturer. I thought o could get a copy of receipt. Ernie just switched out my old handed me a new hose. Try that in another hardware store.The prices on some items might be 1-3% higher then big box. Other items are the same or less. I never regret buying from Stanleys

Sure this place might be a smidge more expensive than Home Depot, but you cannot beat the customer service you receive. If somebody doesnt greet you when you first walk through the door (which they always have for me) then just ask any person for some assistance. They are always willing to help and not in a salesy type way. They genuinely want to help solve your problem. Also, they have always had what I was looking for, which I dont always expect given the size of this store.

Felt welcome the moment I walked in the door. Even though I came in right as they were closing, a guy help me find the parts I needed and explained how to use them as if he wasn’t at the end of his shift. It was my first time there, and I’ll definitely be going back for any hardware related problems and purchases.

Great local store with just about everything you need. They have a lot of specialty parts and pieces for old houses you wont find at the big box stores. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their prices are a bit high, the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars, but we will gladly pay premium prices for a family owned business that is close to home.

Today it was help from Kim in the paint department. But every time Ive been there, Ive never left without having my issue resolved . From today picking paint, to back at Christmas time when I needed to fix a light bulb fixture on a Christmas decoration, too after that when I was trying to fix an L-shaped bracket on my coffee table. The gentleman in that department actually took my bracket and made a hole in the one I bought from your store and made it work for my own coffee table. So all of my experiences at your store have been great!
