Working with Blue Moon has been more than applying to colleges for our daughter. Thanks to Stacey, the college application process has been a personal growth opportunity, giving our daughter the chance to define whats important to her. In addition, Staceys personal work in diversity, equity, and inclusion was so helpful since our daughters identity as a WOC and focus on social justice played into her educational goals. That said, Stacey is incredibly knowledgeable about the ins-and-outs of college admissions and financial aid, with personal connections to many people in this field. She also has great people skills, getting parents and teens to work together and meet critical deadlines. Our family adores Stacey. We cant recommend her enough!
We had a wonderful experience with Stacey and Blue Moon Educational Consulting! Stacey is a skilled and knowledgable college counselor. Our daughter is graduating from Central and, although the education has been excellent, there is no way one guidance counselor per 600 students was going to work for us. Our daughter is very organized and a great student and Stacey did a great job keeping her at ease, feeling supported and staying positive and focused. She spoke frankly and knowledgeably about a wide variety of schools that could be a good fit for our daughter. We were able to step back more, which is always helpful in maintaining family relationships! We will definitely reach out to Stacey again in a few years when our son begins his college search. Cheers
Stacey was my college counselor and one of my favorite staff members for 6 years at The Crefeld School. She helped me find the colleges I was most drawn to and is one of the main reasons I got accepted to my dream school. I ended up not going to that school for personal reasons but Stacey was determined to help me find a great school. I am currently happy in one of the schools she recommended and could not have asked for a better counselor. Please choose Blue Moon Educational Consulting, you wont regret it.
Stacey is expert in counseling students as they navigate the college process. Weve worked with her twice and have been extraordinarily pleased. She was empathetic and masterful in making sense of all the complexities in the process. Most importantly to us and our kids, she was strategic in her approach and always focused on what was the right fit for each. Id highly recommend her to anyone with kids in high school.
I had a wonderful experience with Stacey as my college counselor and I highly recommend her services. She combines a personal and individualized approach to the needs of each student with her profound expertise of colleges and universities. Fifteen years after graduating college I now have an undergraduate and masters degree and am currently pursuing another degree in education. Stacey’s guidance helped set me on a path to academic and personal success for which I am eternally grateful.
Stacey is AMAZING! Vast knowledge of the subtle culture of different colleges, that make up essential elements of the experience. Moreover, Stacey has deep respect for high schoolers, having worked with them her entire career. She connects with them, they feel respected and heard. All in all, Stacey turns college applications into an experience that you and your kid will look back on as positive!
Stacey has a comprehensive and astute knowledge base of colleges and what they have to offer, helping parents and students narrow in on ones that meet students interests and financial need. She helped my son find a prestigious college not even on our guidance counselors radar, which gave him substantial aid and scholarships and had the programs he wanted to pursue, but also a bounty of options that he is already exploring in his freshman year -- perfect for a kid with diverse and interdisciplinary interests. Stacey commits herself with passion and commitment to each of her clients and really works to honor each childs gifts so that colleges see them in that light. I have also known her as a colleague for over twelve years, which is why I went to her for my son. I noted how she goes above and beyond for each child to ensure they have the best options available to them as they begin this next journey.
If you want your child to be able to really find a college that works for them, consider Blue Moon Educational Consulting. Stacey helped my find my dream school twice, helped me understand how to apply for financial aid so that I can afford said dream school, and read through countless drafts of essays. If it wasn’t for Stacey and her consultation, as well as her truly immense knowledge of all kinds of schools all over the country, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now- a happy student at Emerson College, set to graduate next year! Throughout the two times I applied to college, Stacey remained on top of her game and extremely empathetic. When she had personal connections with people in admissions, she used them, and her thoroughly written recommendations (which are extremely tailored to each individual student) really make a difference. Above all, if you work with Blue Moon Educational Consulting, you can expect your questions to be answered and your anxiety to be eased. 10/10 would recommend.
I have worked with Stacey for the past 15 years and when it came time for my children to start the college process, Stacey was the first person I went to. Over the years I have admired Staceys dedication to each student and family as they navigate this complicated process. Her depth of knowledge, ability to listen and connect with teenagers, astute handling of an often anxiety-inducing process and practical/sage advise has led each Crefeld student to find a path that is right for them. I have been amazed at how many students not only get into their top choice schools, but also receive scholarships and financial packages that enable them to pursue their goals. I highly recommend Stacey and I am so happy she is sharing her talents with the broader community.
Many of us decided to write our truthful reviews of Stacey and her consulting business after a fake account wrote a negative one, using the name of one of her associates who we know did not write it. I met Stacey as a junior in high school and she was one of the best things to happen to our family. Not only did she help me find colleges that perfectly fit my educational interests (even if I didnt exactly know what they were back then), but she also suggested ones that would be flexible enough to let me explore my future interests. Without her I would have never discovered or even considered Sarah Lawrence, my dream college. I thought it was so out my league that I wouldnt even think of it before Staceys advice. With her help, I was accepted and given a massive amount of aid! I will soon be graduating after finding my passion for political sociology, which I may have never realized if not for this particular school and professors. Stacey, thanks to your help, I have realized my dreams!
Stacey was my daughters college counselor at The Crefeld School several years ago. Shes warm, smart, incredibly well-informed--and an out-of-the-box thinker. I recommend her highly! As for my daughter, she went on to graduate from her first-choice college and is flourishing in her field.
Stacey is excellent at her craft and I highly recommend her. She is passionate and experienced. Making the decision to hire her will not be regretted.
Stacey is helping our son (and us!) with the completely overwhelming journey of investigating colleges and preparing applications. I cant imagine anyone else Id trust as much to help our family with this difficult task. Stacey is the best!
I have learning disabilities. School was very hard for me. Math, reading and testing were horrible for me. Stacy was at crefeld through my 4 years there. I graduated with high marks and got accepted into the 5 schools I applied to, with scholarships. I attended the same college for the next 4 years and took an extra 18 credits on top of my degree for an added certificate. Stacy is 100% capable of helping your child choose a school, apply and succeed if thats their goal.
I had Stacey as a counselor straight from high school and manages to earn some college credits early.: She helped to define my path and ecccentuated maturity and responsibility as a fundamental part of my next steps. I have now become a successful college graduate ( Temple bachelor in History, AA in secondary education) I currently have a job with the School District of Philadelphia assisting students wiho have various special needs. It can only go up from here.
Stacey advised me throughout high school when I was deciding what schools to apply to, and when I was in the process of applying. She was truly with me every step of the way and I couldn’t have dreamt up a better councler. She woke me up to ideas about college and my future that I never could have conceived of on my own. She got to know me well, and helped me make the best decisions I could make for myself. Stacey worked tirelessly to support all of her students in every way she was able to. No matter how busy she was, I always felt that Stacey had time for me. I spent a very large amount of my time in school talking through my life and my options with Stacey and she patiently helped me, talked to me, and listened to me. She was invested in me, and all her other students in a way that most educators aren’t. Stacey was always happy to help me with anything and everything. Most of the ways Stacey supported me throughout school didn’t even fall into the category of college councling at all, but she was always happy to help. I am so greatful to know her and to have had the chance to be advised by her. Stacey goes above and beyond in her job, and is one of the kindest most hardworking people I have ever met. Anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to work with her.
Stacey not only helped me perfect my college applications, but also provided me with integral emotional support, making a stressful process seem all the more manageable.
Stacey is extremely knowledgeable about a wide variety of college options; she works extremely well with students, has a wonderful perspective, and is super helpful.
Stacy advised me durring my high school career. Through many trials and tribulations I ended up getting my master degree from Northwestern University on a full scholarship. I’m currently working on Masters degree number two at Depaul University in Chicago. Highly recommended!
We have found Stacey to be an invaluable resource during this stressful time of a college search. She is unfailingly professional and provides a wealth of knowledge to her clients.
Incredibly intelligent and dedicated. We Highly recommended this firm.
