They use an exchange rate that is very different from the real current exchange rate and keep the difference as profit. For example, I was going to change $400 dollars to Euros, but they were only offering about 320 Euros rather than the $357 or so the actual exchange rate on that day would call for. This is in addition to their $10 fee (above the $400 I wanted to exchange), so they really wanted to charge $47 in fees while claiming to charge $10. Im not bothered that they are expensive (its an airport, after all) but I am bothered that they try to hide the fact that theyre overcharging by so much.
If you must have cash for your destination such as a cab then its very easy. HOWEVER, be advised that their exchange rates are highway robbery, and the promise of no fee exchange on the return is empty! They make up for it by giving you 30% less than the current rate. If Google let me give 0 stars I would!
It charges quite a high service charge and the exchange rates are high
Exchanged my USD to EUR at the Travelex in PHL airport. The person at the counter shorted me €40, and due to my being late for my connecting flight, I did not realize until it was too late. I have contacted the company but no reply after several days. Whether it was an honest mistake or theft, the company should make this right.
This map does not match the address. I called the number, and its actually another branch in the Philadelphia airport. Please fix.
While I did not personally use these services, I have noted that there has been staff there the many times Ive passed by.
Good currency and nice employees
Airport is not the place to exchange money.
