I took my laptop to Technesia about a month ago as it was having power issues. The technician was very responsive and allowed me to bring my laptop the next day. Technesia was very communicative throughout the whole repair process and updated me when the part would be available, and when my laptop would be fixed. The prices were also very fair. I will definitely use Technesia again in the future for any repair needs because they are so quick and professional.

When my laptop was originally presenting issues I brought it to the Apple Store to be checked out. They told me that I should not bother fixing the issue and buy a new laptop. At that point I ended up doing more research and found Dan. I reached out to him and was met by a fast response. I brought my 2013 MacBook to Dan because it was hot while running. Dan replaced the thermal paste and ran some checks to see how hot it was actually running. It was ultimately in an acceptable range and has been manageable since (I was most concerned with the heat doing damage). He did offer to reinstall the OS to a previous version within the next 30 days as an alternate if the heat was still bothersome which I really appreciated but decided was not needed. Dan was responsive to my texts and working out drop off/pick ups. I will definitely use him again in the future if needed!

I went to this guy about a month ago or so in order to look at a couple of old PCs I had laying around after my old one broke, even had em back up data from a broken HDD and let me tell you one thing: Dan knows what hes doing. Dan is very professional with his work, and was able to recover all of the data from the broken Hard Drive despite telling me some things may be missing. Best part is that none of it was corrupted, including the videos. Typically gets things done relatively fast, quicker than most repair shops in this area. One thing Ill admit, is that communication can sometimes be hazy with Dan if you ask for an update on the situation after about a week or so. But thats okay, the quality of his work more than makes up for it. Not only that, but if your computer is totally screwed, as in it isnt worth repairing, he more than likely will not charge you a penny for his services. A+ Tech Repair Guy. Trackpad stopped functioning all of a sudden, and I took it in right away in the AM. I was told they were backed up and would get a call in the evening. I explained that, while everyone wants preferential treatment- I legitimately had a big concert coming up in 3 days, and needed it critically to run the show. Ofcourse, I understood they were backed up, so I left the laptop with them. About 30 min later, I got a text saying the issue was dirt behind the trackpad (and no replacement part was needed!) and was fixed in a few hours. While I had no expectation of having the job done so quickly, I greatly appreciated the expedited return!

I had a Mac tower that was slow because it was never cleaned. When I got it back from Dan, it was running like new. I do 4k editing and could not believe how fast it was running again. Highly recommend Dan and his services.

I spilled iced coffee all over my MacBook Pro and I tried my best to clean it up but once my laptop dried, my keys were super sticky. I needed someone to clean my laptop immediately so I came to Technesia. I saw the great reviews and I liked how easy it was to set up an appointment. Dan did a great job in cleaning my laptop. The only criticism I would give is that I wasn’t given a good estimate of how long it would take. I had to text Dan a few times to see soon I could get my laptop back.He did a great job sending photos of what the inside of my laptop looked like and explained what needed to be done.Lastly, I wish I did my full research and knew what the place looked like. I was expecting a store-front but walked in an apartment/house. Dan is great! I took my pc here after it started freezing unexpectedly. I took it in twice- the first time the fix didnt stick (it was an intermittent issue that showed up unpredictably), but when it went in the second time he didnt charge me for anything but the parts needed to fix it, and kept me updated every step of the way- even with the Christmas and new years holidays, and pandemic-christmas shipping delays getting in the way. Its running better than ever now, but if I have problems with it again Im definitely coming back, and I highly reccomend him to anyone who needs computer work done!

Technesia is fantastic. I dropped my MacBook pro, and the keyboard and trackpad stopped working, and the performance also slowed down considerably. After contacting Apple (it was too old to still be under warranty), I didnt think I could afford to get it repaired. I kept trying to struggle through working with it in that state using an external keyboard and mouse, but it was really pretty unuseable. So I decided to look up alternative repair options, and Technesia had great reviews and seemed honest and affordable, so I figured Id give it a go. And wow. Im really impressed. Not only did Dan address the keyboard/trackpad issue, but he also asked me about the fan and said hed dust/clean the inside since it had never been opened. Well, I got my computer back the very next day, and I swear its never run this fast, I cant remember the fan being this quiet, not can I recall this computer staying so cool to the touch after running for hours at a time. Seriously, as long as I live in Philly and this business is around, I dont think Ill even bother with the genius bar again. And dont be fooled into thinking your only option is to buy a whole new computer - at least call Technesia to see if it can be fixed first!

Service here was amazing! My brother spilled soda all over his macbook and it was completely fried but Dan was able to recover the hard drive and save all of the data. They said my laptop couldnt be repaired. Your plan was to install a new hard drive. You explicitly told me I would lose all my files. I took it to Wise Guy off South St and after their diagnosis they were able get it working again, did not lose any work/files, still kept a password. Wiping my computer and losing years of files is not a repair.

Best Buy’s geek squad wanted to send it out to the manufacturer and do this and that with charge upon charge. My laptop just had an issue with connection from my battery charger. It was loose inside my laptop and Best Buy wouldn’t even touch it to look at it. Dan opened it up and dismantled it with delicacy and ease to find the issue. He repaired it overnight and I was on my way, still works fine now over a month later. It hard to trust people with your devices that aren’t from the manufacturer but trust this guy. I brought in a mid-2010 Macbook Pro with what I thought was a failing screen, which was replaced at a reasonable cost. The new (used) screen continued to show the same symptoms. Dan was responsive to diagnose that it was in fact my logic board.
