First, I have thinning hair on top and wanted a simple taper from the sides to a longer length on top. All I got was a buzz job with a flap of hair on top that looks ridiculous. I also wanted him to blend in my sideburns since I have a long beard and his cut just left a harsh line, but either he didn’t want to do it without the $25 beard trim fee or he just didn’t know what he was doing, he just stabbed at it with his buzzer instead of running it along a comb. Now I have to buzz my whole head. Last time I had it cut was by a barber in South Carolina for $15 and he took his time and obviously cut plenty of men’s hair who were older than 35. Secondly, if I wanted a beer or a whiskey I’d go to a bar, not drink while my glass is getting peppered with hair clippings. So much for “stylists”, just give me a barber.

After trying a bunch of other barbers in the city I found Anthony and have been coming to him here for years. I have never once been disappointed with a haircut here--everyone here is talented at what they do. I always get a skin fade with edging, and Anthony always does a perfect job!

Blade and Badger is great. Clean, hip, warm, friendly and welcoming. I take my picky teenage sons to see Krisi and she is fantastic! Would definitely recommend this barbershop to anyone.

I dont ever post reviews but I feel an experience like this finding a barber shop like this it definitely calls for one.I Was looking for a place in the area to get a haircut, The regular place I used to goto is just too far to travel to anymore its out of the city by an old address. I tried another place in the area before Blade and Badger and they didnt get the cut right for me... until I found Blade and Badger I couldnt get the cut that I wanted!I was able to just walk in and the staff squeezed me in between their appointments, and this was almost at there closing time. Although I was told appointments are preferred so its best to call ahead.They were totally cool about it though and they paid complete attention to detail about everything that I asked for in my cut .Dana was my stylist . she was very easy to talk to and was right on point (as soon as I sat down) for what I asked for in a cut!I also noticed that the other barbers were giving cuts to clients and the haircuts were totally awesome, so every barber / stylist at this location is totally professional and can get it done right!Ive been to plenty of shops in my time and Ive never seen every barber at every chair giving a great cut... its rare in my opinion .Also all the staff/barbers/stylists were so cool and down-to-earth and were completely welcoming and made me feel at home as if I were getting my haircut there for years .Im so glad I found and chose Blade and Badger in my search . I will definitely be a return customer .I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Barber / stylist who will listen to you and give you the cut that you want!

After reading the great reviews and being in the market for a new barber, I decided to give Blade and Badger a try. I have had my hair cut by Anthony, one of the owners. He is very professional and friendly. Most importantly, his haircuts are really well done! The first time he cut my hair he listened to what I wanted and asked some questions to learn more to make sure he got it how I wanted. The shop is very nice, has a laid-back atmosphere, and is in a great neighborhood. Give them a try!

Stopped by Blade & Badger Barbershop because of the positive reviews on Google. I felt a warming environment as I entered the door and before anything I was greeted by John. John was very polite in addressing my needs and his knowledge in cutting men hair is astounding. Its hard to find a barber with a positive attitude and gives an awesome cut. The best part is that we had a nice conversation. John is highly recommended if you are looking for a barber in Philadelphia region.

This barbershop is the best. I stopped in there with my boyfriend and Anthony did such a great job on his hair! They have such a great atmosphere, very clean, chill environment. I had been going to John for several years now. His technique for fading hair is second to none. From sharp lines, straight razor work, to any-cut fades, the results are quite compelling. He even does scissors, which is a rare feat for barber who could do both.The transitions of his fades are quite dramatic. No matter which type of fade you choose, bald or stubble, hi or low, the gradient transition from light to dark do not just taper off. Each layer in the fade is blended to perfection.One of the things I can rely on John the most is consistency. Given my imperfect, asymmetrical head with random bumps and dips, John knows how to work with that and gives me a perfectly even cut, every time!John has a positive attitude, is a great conversationalist, and totally professional. I would drive an hour from where I live and wait in long lines, just to sit in his chair. Unfortunately now with little ones at home, it is difficult for me to make the trip out there. However, I do drop by whenever I’m in the neighborhood.I totally recommend booking with John as the walk-in wait can be quite long. Also, don’t be surprised to see a few of John’s co-workers watching him while you get a cut as he is mentoring them. He’s that good!

I’ve been going to John for years, and John is the sharpest barber on the East Coast! I highly recommend him. Definitely a premium cut. Cant believe my barber John is at a new location. I still travel the distance to get me and my kids haircut from him. Ive been getting my haircut from him before I even had kids. Crazy thing is my kids wont let anyone else cut their hair. Theyll go crazy and wont sit still giving any barbers a hard time except John. This guy not only have great cutting skills, but also a great personality and awesome with kids.

Ive known Anthony and Dana for a few years and followed them through multiple shops. I can honestly say Anthony gets my cut right every single time I go in.
