I was in a bind today and needed first the cap on my tire removed since it was forced on, then I had to come back for a sensor issue, then it turned out I had a nail in my tire. Shawn helped me through the entire process and was so sweet and patient. He patched my tire then and there in the parking lot. He was busy but he and his team took the time to help a girl in need. Will definitely be back when its time to rotate my tires!

Shawn and Marshall did a killer job on my new wheel and tire setup I brought to them for installation. Marshall took extra car with the new wheels and was careful to not mark them up. Would use them again for anything wheel related.

I had a wonderfully positive experience with this shop! The employee who helped me (didn’t catch his name) was kind and accommodating. They were able to plug my tire in little time and saved me from buying new ones. They’ve certainly gained my loyalty!

After last nights horrific hurricane I found myself with a hole in my tire. I walked into Mavis expecting them to patch my tire. Turns out they dont patch. Shawn asked questions, looked at the tire and after a minute found the hold and plugged it! Didnt even have to wait! Took the tire right back and was done in less than 10 minutes. He was super helpful and friendly!

Fast and excellent service! We dropped our car off at the end of the day, and they stayed late to make sure that we got our car back the same day. Cant say how nice of a change of pace this is from the other tire shops we have tried in Philly. Highly recommend.

Called down to the store. I assume a call center takes their calls for them. They got me all hyped and out of the house. Drove to the store within 10 min only to have the store manager turn me away. Im certain this happens more than to just me and should never happen. Heres a way to solve that: Either have the call center call down to the store and check for availability or have the call directed to the store after a certain hour. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO HAVE CUSTOMERS IRATE BECAUSE OF THIS PHONE SERVICE. Needless to say Mavis tire is off of my radar.EditSpoke to the regional manager who swiftly took care of my needs. It would be a disservice to future customers who have this issue, if I removed the review but just note I was taken care of by Frank at this store. Thx for everything.

Came over to philly for a friends birthday when my muffler unexpectedly broke loose. Mavis Discount Tires was the only place that would answer my call on a Saturday; they were busy but still took us in and warned us it would be an hour or more wait which we were fine with. They called us within an hour and a half and when we got there, they we super kind and explained that since all they had to do was put a screw in, it was free of charge. It’s really nice to know there are still good people out in the world since another mechanic could’ve easily charged $150 and claimed they did more than they actually did. I really appreciate them and would definitely recommend them!

Very disappointed took my car to Mavis for an appointment for an oil change and inspection was told to bring it back first thing Monday morning Dropped off at 8:20 am I made sure too tell them I had an appointment at 2 so I needed the car backI was told no problem no problem They will call me at 10:30 never received a call waited till 12:15 I was told they were still working on it I asked how much longer he said not much headed down at 1:30When I got back I noticed the glue still left on my windshield stickers were not straight and correctly filled out.Went today to say something about it and I was told come back tomorrow at 9am because they dont have an inspector so they can take them off and fill them out to put new ones on.Went back in Wednesday August 11th at 9am was sent away again till 12 due to the inspector not being available before being sent away assistant manager Frank tried to clean my windshield with Wd40 making a bigger mess Not only smearing my stickers but my windshield as well. I went back in at noon spoke with another assistant manager ShawnHe called the inspector over to speak with him on how his work was done and that it was unacceptable Oscar was not trying to hear nor fix the issueHe said he can not take them off and put new ones on.... Shawn tried to understand why not and let Oscar know it needs to be fix well needless to say I stood there for another hour and a half while Oscar took his sweet time going as slow as possible not caring I was working trying to give Mavis the benefit to fix this error knowing I had to be at the hospital by 1:30 with my child Shawn was very understanding and keep getting on Oscar to get it done something that would have taken 5 to 10 minutes Oscar took 1 hour and 30 minutes and still wasnt done ...I was so over it I told Shawn give me my f*cking keys Im done....Shawn did everything possible to follow up with Oscar to get it done ASAP...Shawn was even over the way Oscar was acting....

Went for an oil change. Zach was very helpful and mannerly. The shop was pretty busy but he acknowledged every patron with a friendly greeting and assisted all of us in a timely fashion.

My fiance and I were treated with respect and informed thoroughly about potential issues in our car however they never once seemed to push a sale. Just professional courtesy. They squeezed us in on a moments notice with an affordable deal on for four tires, installation, alignment and above all respect and courtesy. I will be returning.

Made an appointment for 12pm to have new tires installed which I brought my own, and arrived early at 11:30, hoping to get in sooner. I was told wait would be 1hr to 1hr 30mins. Ended up waiting over 3 hrs, so told them to give my key back and left. There was no communication at all, which was unprofessional. What was the point of appointments being made, when having customers wait for a longer duration.

I came by with a leaking tire and they fixed it right away free of charge! They were very polite and professional and I will definitely be returning there for any future car issues.

Brought car in at 9 am and by 1:17 and four trips back here, my car sits in their bay open to the wind. No tire installed.Staff acted like doing their job was asking too much. Owner never delivered voucher like promised. It was only offered when I asked for it, than never given.

If you come here, find Zack!! He’s the most honest mechanic I’ve ever met. I know a bit about cars and I can vouch for the guy. He explained what was wrong with the car and why it needed to be replaced. We had some issues with the billing but he was very courteous and patient throughout the entire process. That guy deserves a raise!

I am currently waiting on my car as I write this review. My experience started when I made my appointment online last Wednesday for Saturday and was called 2 hours before my 3pm appointment only to be told my tires werent in stock. I was told that they would be there the following Monday. I recieved no call on Monday so I called at about 4pm Monday afternoon. I was told that my tires were in and I could come in today at 11pm. I am still waiting and it is now after 5pm!! Horrible customer service!!

This morning I was in a rush to get to work and noticed a bolt stuck in my tire. I pulled up to the Mavis tire on Aramingo ave,and spoke to Ed the manager. He stopped what he was doing to assist me. Went to have inspection, oil change and rotate tires. Was told to be there at 9am. Arrived on time and it took 4hrs.

I love coming to this Mavis, they are always on top of things and quick to respond. They always keep me updated on my car and help me understand everything they’re doing. Store manager Zach is very helpful as well and helped me get my car hood up when it was stuck!

Frank took me mid week without an appointment for a slow tire leak. They had a full day so I waited about 2 hours but they did everything they could on the repair. I felt like my car was well taken care of. Will definitely be going back with any future issues.

Great, friendly customer service. My car was in and out in 1 hour. The waiting area was a little untidy, the floor needed to be swept,and the trash can was over flowing, but other than that everything went well. State Inspection complete, now I can drive another year.

Scheduled an appointment for a state inspection which takes about 30 minutes. When I arrived I was told there was one car in front of me and then my car will be looked at. Meanwhile I have seen the inspector sit out vaping on his break, my car pulled in and out for no reason and finally after 4 hours have they started looking at my car. Horrifyingly bad

How he say no we dont have tire for your Honda and it will be at least 2 hours until I can see if I can plug your tire really 2 hrs rode on a flat poppa hot me for 35 $ in 5 mins

I liked the way he handle himself with one customer that was upset because he didnt get his car service in exact time and thats because he came at the last mintues and there were other cars before him. No thanks. Bought tires 2 years ago went to repair it, it was a no go. Thats okay, even though I have road hazards insurance didnt apply. They were charging me full price for a replacement tire. Went to other competitor got great deal bought all four tires at half their price. Yes I got my oil change my front wheel alignments and auto inspection for their set of four tires. Same brand tires.

Scheduled appointment for 4 new tires get there and management trys selling me something other than requested after i declined he tells me the tires you want will be ordered for you come back tomorrow at 3, well that never came to be !

This was my first time here needed two front tires I had to make appointment but got in the same day they keep my car a couple of hours They explained everything that they will do which was two front tires they balanced the tires and if I needed a wheel alignment they will call me and showed me the tires I was getting if Ladies if you need Brand tires come here.

Everyone Ive interacted with at this place has always been honest, professional, and very competent. They go out of their way to help me every time I come in, regardless of what my problems are. I wont go anywhere else for tires.

I was on aramingo ave yesterday coming from Walmart when I noticed I had a flat tire. I noticed the Mavis tire shop and went over there to use the air machine there, however the nice gentleman there noticed and let me I needed to have my tire checked cause it was keeping air in it. He found that I had a nail stuck in ny tire and removed it and plugged it for me. He didnt try to gag me to buy a new tire and I appreciated that cause car mechanics have a bad reputation that when they see a female customer they see $$$$ signs. Asked for tires to be balanced due to vibration they never balanced instead they told me I needed 500.00+ dollars for front end work and an alignment. Took the car to the garage that inspected it 3 weeks ago and just as I thought tires needed balancing. Had all four tires balanced and moved around 90.00 with tax. Mavis is out to make you pay for things you dont need. Then I called the BBB and bad reviews.

I had my 2010Hoda Accord towed to Mavis because I had a new battery installed but my car lost power,I needed an altenator. I asked do u service and install alternators professionally, staff assured me that they have a mechanic that will do the work. It took 2days I picked my vehicle up. 4 months later problem with the alternator,it wasnt bolted down completely 2 bolts missing so the alternator was burnt out and I needed a new one and it frayed the main belt that makes the engine run. It wasnt covered the warranty was up,but the manager had installed it,but I had to buy a new alternator and main engine belt.Now 3months later the alternator burns out for the 3rd time, the housing case was never put on the alternator there is a bolt lodged in my engine on the side where that housing unit for the alternator goes. Mavis mechanic new this they had my car for 3days the second time and when I went to retrieve my vehicle I waited an extra three hours not realizing that it was because of a serious issue. This time I called customer service number and the store manager Zach at the Aramingo location,they say they can look at my car. They ruined my vehicle and if its not tires be careful having other service done

Came in today thinking I needed a new battery, got the battery replaced. Truck still wouldnt start, replaced the starter, truck wouldnt start and the starter just kept spinning without the truck turning on. Got it started and took it home. Started back up fine. Will check it later tonight and if it doesnt start Im sure theyll figure it out.Customer service is really good there, Ill be a repeat customer.

Dont waste your time. I made an 8AM appointment for an alignment over the phone, the time was suggested by Mavis not me. When I arrived I was told the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half, at 10 AM after waiting 2 hours was assured I was next by 10:45 several other cars had been taken in the shop and there was no indication that my car would be serviced any time soon. I took my keys and left loosing nearly half a day of work. I understand things get busy and everything is more challenging under pandemic conditions but a total lack of communication and no effort to actually honor an appointment or do the work. I dont know if the guys in the shop just did not feel like doing an alignment or had other priories but there was a total lack of effort or interest. I have used this shop multiple times in the past because they are convenient to my house but I will never return. I had a flexible schedule and could have come at any time suggested, it was not emergency work but this place just does not care at all about customers.

Came in on 11/7/2020. They greeted me immediately and got me into the shop within 30 minutes. I had an 11am appointment and was complete with my service by 12:45pm. Chris was my technician and handled my vehicle with care and inspected it in a timely fashion. Nothing but good things to say about this location!

To be honest they don’t even deserve one star had to go back on multiple occasions to get my wheel Alignment adjusted to come to find out they didn’t due a full wheel alignment on all four tires also not to mention they added way to much weight on my rims which caused my steering wheel to shake like no other. Definitely not returning to this location. And to think I went here two years prior and no problem which is way I returned. I would guess management is not up for the tasks and the challenges or just gave up and just shows up to collect a paycheck.
