What can you real say about the courtyard between 4 buildings. Its flat its large its got some art. The buildings around it should be the focus or walk around college hall and your on collage green and you could forget for a second your in a city.
Philadelphia will always be the Apex of a culture and community experience. Its buildings of important places of higher learning.. Every student that comes here..really comes as visitor first..if she or he really feels the spirit of the ages..they can easily picture temples of Greece..and go even farther into Athens..or Rome..just a interesting doorway..yes life is most difficult..the easy and ever harder challenges..thats the idea..you will face uncertainty..but also you will find models of educators...looking over your shoulder..the quadrangle of the square of life..I was reminded at this lecture..how we must build what we are learning..leave our brick in a place,be inspiration for future visitors..deciding there roots here.. in higher learning gymnasium...do something..poet.friend
Beautiful campus! Some day this pandemic will be gone and all the activities will be in full swing again.
Home to Houston Hall for student life, the larger-than-life Penn emblem, and the Irvine Auditorium for live performances, the Perelman Quad is one of the most amazing spaces at Penn.
This is the best place to eat since they upgraded it you have way more choices to choose from now for your dining pleasure and on the plus side they have insomnia cookies
Student center with decent food (lots of variety). It gets crowded and loud here pretty often so usually a place to pick up food and leave. The event spaces are pretty cavernous so tend to be cold and hard to hear in.
Just the same welcoming environment behind Houston Hall as sixty years ago.
One of Penns nicest spaces, but its kinda weird that they double dipped for donations. Its the Perelman Quad and the Wynn (now Penn) Commons.
Love the Catering Staff. Food is excellent every time. I particularly love the large selection of ingredients (options) you can build your own salad upon.
Was an awesome little eatery to hang out at between doctors appointments.
Old Architecture that is beautiful and takes you back to another time.
The crepe place has moved upstairs. I remember when it was in the original place. I cant speak for other menus, but the quality has decreased. The crepe is too thick and too doughy. Its trying to stuff SO much, because of the price or complaints of not enough contents? Crepes are meant to be simple and easy, but when the veggies and meat are pushing out like a muffin top with dripping sauce, its a shame to call this a crepe.
An awesome environment to read and study!
Were here for the second time competing in the FLL robotics championships. The Houston Hall combines an old style charm along with modern utility! Its very well suited for presentations, plays and the like. Being part of the UPenn campus beans that theres always a very vibrant feel to it. Hungry and looking for something to eat on the cheap? The place has got your covered with a cafeteria which had very reasonable prices. Overall, very impressive to say the least.
Beautiful scenery, an interesting blend of old Gothic and more postmodern architectural styles. It is an impressive place to be and soak in Penns wonderful campus.
For an Ivy league school the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
Its beautiful. Food here is all right. Events are always powerful.
An historic location on the campus of an ancient Ivy League University. Ben Franklin founded here. Hint: U of P.
Good on campus place to get a bit to eat. The cafe in the basement offers a good build your own sald option and pasta option which I usually go for. The creperie on the first floor also has quite good savory crepes
The star is because everything is new... I dont like it here because its too congested with traffic, pick-up and drop-off transports, not people-friendly, and original streets have been taken away. Too much chaos... food prices inside of the centers cafeteria and area hubs are ridiculous and the waste of space is a crime.
Nice place for college students to hang out. Doesnt get too crowded
Houston has some great study spaces. The creperie is pretty good. There is no reason to eat at the market, however, unless you are on a dining plan. The food and service is poor and overpriced.
So much food in the basement cafeteria. Tons to choose from. Not enough seating though because its so full of students but the selection of food is why you pay for an ivy league school.
Lovely auditorium where I attended a graduation.
Go in! They have a food court with a new place called beefsteak. But the gem is the crepe place! It is absolute magic, super fast service and delicious sweet and savory crepes. While ur there look at the board or facebook, Houston Hall always has guest speakers! Just saw Marc Lamont Hill and Shaun King for free!
The food ranges from decent to good quality, and the staff is very nice. The prices are unjustifiable, however, and you should only come here if you have a dining plan or are buying a chicken teriyaki bowl
Building of Staff events. Very Spacious.
Events are always nice here and options for lunch are great
The whole place is growing and looking wonderful
Beautiful building. Im there for work so it makes the whole place a little less nice haha.
The sushi here is amazing, everyone should try the spicy tuna, it is really good.
The soup in the cafeteria is amazing... a real hidden gem
Theres a good amount of food here, but the crêpes are the killer item here.
-20 min wait for grill item-Checkout was quick-Price was very reasonible-Burger was classic, overall solid choice
Home to Houston Hall, the oldest college student union in the USA. Beautiful architecture
Very nice collge place to explore and eat
Great place to see if you are in the area
Great place to play board games on Wednesday!!
Nice place on campus to visit
Inside the building at the second floor there is a Masjid. Follow labels for SPARC. This is the chaplains office. One room is dedicated to Muslims for salah.
Great studying location in nice weather, and solid view
Oldest student union building in the country. Try Pari Cafe Creperie and Insomnia Cookies while there.
Great event and loads of great people
Nice comfortable space to hang out.
