Very cool art exhibit here in Philly. Spent some time here today at the bar and then the 11 exhibits throughout. It was a great time and the exhibits are very interactive. I would have to say my favorite was the “Last Words Project” as we spent quite a while there reading all the scrolls. I would recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for something fun and immersive to do.
Really cool art pieces that are interesting and captivating. While I wish they still had the string art piece, I have to say that there were quite a few amazing pieces here. I would plan to spend 1.5 hours here, it’s what Wonderspaces suggest and just so happened to be how long we needing to properly enjoy everything!
Another honest review. I wanted to like this place. The pictures looked so cool and I have been to other exhibits like this and loved them. For the price and what was offered I was very disappointed. The two best parts of the string lights that you can see through the windows and the body painting section upstairs. Everything else was just meh. It took me 30 minutes to see everything. The staff was nice and everything was clean but there needs to be more exhibits for how much it cost. I went to a similar one in DC that was the same price and it had so many rooms and things to do that we closed the place down and wanted to go back again.
A unique and evolving (almost living) art installation interactive theater. The squid soup is a must see and photo op that cant be missed. The virtual reality exhibits transport you to new worlds. And you can even ha r your portrait drawn by a set of cameras that control robotic artist hands. My only hope is that the space can expand to include more pieces because I would love to spend more time exploring
This was fun. It seems that the installations rotate because we did not have our portrait drawn by robot hands. I hope more installations are added because it felt kind of rushed and short. I loved the interactive QR codes at each entrance. My favorite piece was the interactive clock on the 2nd floor. Having to sign waivers after the check-in station was a bit...odd but hopefully that is an easy flow fix.
After watching a Tik Tok video of this exhibit, I just knew we had to check it out. You will have to purchase tickets beforehand. Upon check-in, there is a COVID check-in questionnaire you will have to complete and the station is sanitized in between guests. The host advised what to expect and to enjoy. As we entered there was a bar area, but was crowded, and decided not to partake. Immediately across from the bar was the first piece of art. Throughout the exhibit you cab engage and become apart of the artwork. To help prevent the spread of COVID, hand sanitizer was stationed outside of each art area. I really enjoyed the virtual reality video. Each goggle were sanitized by staff as a precaution. This exhibit is age appropriate for various ages.A must see exhibit if you ask me.
My son loved this place so much. He was amazed with every new thing we saw. This is a great please for a family outing, a date, sometime to be alone just about anything. This place is magical
Amazing place with many interactive art pieces. Kids or adults will love it all. My favorite part was the mechanical arm drawing people and the long string lights. I have many videos to show. There are two parts that you do use the google mask on your face to see an actual scenario in front your eyes.
Love this place!! We had a lot of fun here. Loved the body paint wall. And the virtual reality exhibit was awesome as well. Recommend this place 100% if visiting Philly. I also got to be a part of one of the art exhibits by writing a note and placing it in the art as shown in one of the photos here. I thought that was really cool.
Went here with a group of friends a few weeks back. I wouldnt even say I generally enjoy art exhibits but this one was different. Very interactive and there are some really mind-bending exhibits. Excellent date spot too.
My best friend and I have always talked about me visiting her in Philadelphia, and it was always just talk until I came across WonderSpaces via Facebook, and I was hooked.Immersive and interactive were the two best adjectives for the various exhibitions available. Our little group all agreed our favorite one was the Akoumaflore, the plants pictured below. There are art displays to avoid if youre photosensitive.
Awesome AV Experience, the content and Artwork were top notch modern Experiences. Also the Loosey Goosey was tasty!!!
Amazing modern / alternative museum with interesting artwork and interactive experiences.
I took my son this past Sunday, 05/16, and we loved every minute of it! I wasnt able to go through every exhibit due to my light sensitivity(the guides were very helpful in telling me which ones to stay away from), but my son did. He especially loved the virtual reality and the body paint. I loved everything. I think it would make a great class trip! We plan to visit again real soon!
This place was so cool!! I took my friends who were new to Philly and they loved it. It was safe and sanitary, there was not too many people so I didnt feel unsafe. Everyone wore masks and the employees were respectful. I highly recommend to anyone of any age because it is really fun! I spent about 2 hours here just enjoying all the different exhibits
Visited Philly from NC, this is the first thing we did. Wonderspaces is a cool place to visit! We enjoyed the interactive art museum and the on site bar.
We had a great time here! My four year old and two year old couldnt get enough and even my six month old was in awe of squid soup. Definitely recommend for families.
This is an amazing exhibit. Im not an artsy or creative person, but I think Ive found my type of art! The bar is a great addition!
The plant display was so cool! Thinking about how it works, it made me feel like a kid.
I enjoyed visiting this Instagrammable-space locates in downtown Philadelphia.Definitely make sure your phone and cameras are fully charged before coming to this space.Tickets can be bought on-site and it takes roughly 35-50 minutes to see everything + participate in the two virtual reality experiences.Wonder space is kid-friendly and fun for all ages, literally anyone who loves creativity and art!A guide informed me that the art work will change every three months or so, so I look forward to coming back here in the summer!
We ended up spending about 2 hours here although we didnt realize it. This interpretive and very scientific gallery offered tangible art, VR, and light play. My favorite gallery is transitions. Id recommend this event as a fun date night place. The walk between the different exhibits offers seating and time to talk about what you just saw. There is a neat bar that offers yummy cocktails. The staff were knowledge and friendly.
Such a cool art exhibit! The interactiveness of everything is really fun. Each piece is unique yet theyre still all cohesive and fit well together.
I really enjoy it every time I go. This is a perfect interlude before going to a nice dinner downtown. I love how you can interact with the exhibits. My fav is the message wall. Theyre clean, information, and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the money.
Me and my best friend went for her birthday we had fun it was exciting and different we loved the exhibits the best part was room full of hanging light bulbs that change colors and the music was on point too we also loved the exhibit where you can read and write you own personal note for someone to read and maybe even help them get thru life
Every piece of art was so unique, Some more powerful in message than others but over an excellent experience. Definitely an outside of the box thing to do in the city, I highly recommend it. Pro tip : arrive on time to experience all of the art individually. If someone else is in the art space, go see something else and circle back. Its totally worth it to see it by yourself or with the person you came with for the full experience. Have fun!!! I definitely did!
Ive purchased my ticket 6/19/2020 ... due to covid this place shut down. When I heard they were back opened I was super excited to come visit. However, this wasnt what I expecting. I thought this was an interactive museum. 😩15 pieces in total throughout 24,000 square feet 🤦🏾♀️Most of the pieces were ok!Ive witness someone asked to leave for adjusting their mask. The elevators was broken and I felt so bad for the families with kids because they had to lug their carriage up a hefty amount of steps because majority of the art was on the 2nd floor!Overall, I didnt have a great experience because I was expecting something different!Bonus: I score my ticket for $15 vs $24 😎
Honest review. As soon as you walk in there’s these inflatable fungus that you just look at. Next the light room is just lights that hang from a ceiling (I guess just to take a picture) They have a VR experience that was so cheesy lol… Moving along to the upstairs. They have an exhibit that has 4 ceiling plants when you pull the leaves it makes dinosaur sounds (not kidding), they only had 1 exhibit that was so so and it was this color room. The rest of 3 exhibits were so tacky. For a family of 4 it’s $108 dollars. Spend your money elsewhere. This place is not worth it!
There were some very creative artistic displays. The staff were really kind and accommodating to our large group (only half pictured).
Such amazing pieces of art work.
Walk through, mostly interactive, modern art museum. The exhibits were pretty good but nothing to write home about. Favorites were virtual reality and what people wrote in the honey comb.
This was kind of underwhelming. The exhibits were okay but I really was expecting something more imersive. And Im not certain why the plastic bag one is even there... I wouldnt really recommend this to anyone especially at the price point.
Great experience!
Very cool! Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was really an interesting and thought provoking collection of art.
Nice exhibit. Short but interesting and enjoyed the time w my daughter.
Excellent place to stop and experience! Art without being confined by the borders of a frame. Love the virtual reality rooms alot!
Friendly Staff, art is amazing and its a great date spot
Very cool interactive experience, very IG worthy if your into that. The artists did amazing work!
Great place to go, I’ve been twice some exhibits stay the same but they do add in new ones.
Though it is a slightly short exhibit, the pieces are unique and beautiful! The VR, in particular, is beyond words.
Incredible art exhibit - and the fact that most works of art are Instagrammable makes it that much more inviting! The staff is charming and quite knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment and never once felt rushed. Cannot wait to go back again soon!
Interesting installations
This was the coolest place! Every room had another modern art exhibit. Youre able to interact with most exhibits. Very fun place to take pictures and enjoy
Great interesting light art....the vr exhibit is a must!!!!
Cool museum in center city. VR was amazing
Great date night. We enjoyed every exhibit, especially virtual reality! I really enjoyed the Illegal Art exhibit too.
Truly wonderful place actually. A great date night
It was a really interesting place, pretty small though. Definitely visting again though.
This place was amazing and very mature and interesting place to visit, will I recommend to friends and family yes I would and will
If you are in the area, it is a must go! Beautiful and such mesmerizing arts! Cute date place! Perfect for engagement pictures! (Yes you read that right).
Absolutely amazing experience!
This place is set up for Insta Influencers and all the cool photos. It also is set up to have a perfect date night or night out with friends. The amazement and wonder as you move through each exhibit will want you to go back for more!
Great place to go to so many neat exhibits!
Amazing experience! Staff is caring and very helpful.
Interesting displays and art
My friend and i spent about 2 whimsical hours exploring these exhibits. I loved how the staff was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. All of the pieces, even the VR experiences were moving. 10/10 WILL go back!
Not really worth all the hype. Its a decent museum but time and money wouldve been best spent somewhere else. Social media really made this look more exciting than it really was sadly.
We had a wonderful time.
Fun, interactive art displays utilizing holograms, VR, light, angle, and other optical tricks. Just wish it was a bit larger, felt really small with only 14 displays. Went through fairly quickly.
My friends and I decided to host a joint birthday party there (about 25 of us). I knew this place was not professional when my friend with the same name as me couldnt get a ticket and emailed the place, but the place decided to call me instead... the confidentiality was not there from the start and if this person was not part of my party then that would have been a different issue. Anyway, we get to the place and not even five minutes in we were all (25 of us), were asked to leave because two girls took of their mask for one second... the employees knowing that they got their money guaranteed was their priority, but their customers did not matter. These two girls were vaccinated too and none of us were able to enjoy the museum or see anything besides the one room. If you want to be watched like children, then this place is right for you...
Wow! Safe! Fun! Beautiful!
Super cool light displays, vr experience, & fun spot to take pictures!
11 interactive exhibits
Very cool place with different types of art installations. Had a great time!
It was really cool but only 4 installations, 3 rooms. We were there for about an hour. From the photos we thought there would be more to see.
I went with my girlfriend and it was really great. A bit hard to find at first but once we were inside the staff was very welcoming and chill. They gave us a general idea of the place and then let us explore. Finding each room and seeing the exhibits develop was an amazing and engaging experience, with each installation having a course to run. The squid light room and the VR experience on the second floor were especially well-done. For the latter it felt like being in an animated dreamland. Wonderspaces is very surreal and I recommend it for couples and friends who enjoy art and media combining.
Me and my family had a fun time!
My 2nd time going, I highly recommend!
All of the exhibits in this museum were incredible! They were fun and interactive, and they definitely made me wonder.
It was a great experience me and the family really enjoyed ourselves and looking and interacting with the artwork
So worth the time and money! Took about an hour and a half to see everything, time well spent. All the exhibits were unique and to me had a certain mood attached. Glad they could open up again.
