The show is sensational, well written and excellent performance. It’s hilarious and witty, we enjoyed the show very much. Will definitely recommend it to others. Looking forward to seeing them again in coming seasons.
Fantastic venue. The House Manager (Kate) is helpful and engaged. Consider this one-of-a-kind venue for your gathering, you won;t be sorry you did.
Amazing historic venue with a unique 130 year old U Penn history and tradition. The show was lots of fun - highly recommend
This building is steeped in so much history, and the guys in the troupe really put their all into their shows. They have a great bar downstairs for socializing before and after the performances. I wish I had discovered Mask and Wig far sooner than I did!
An incredible experience. I cannot recommend this group enough.
Beautiful old building owned and run by an all-male troupe from UPenn. I saw their Flight Club production and was very impressed. Funny and creative.
Seating upstairs is on a flat floor and if you get someone tall in the front rows, no one behind will see anything. Unfortunately thats what happened when I visited. The bar downstairs was also overwhelmed during the break. Otherwise, great show.
The mask and wig is a Philadelphia Gem. I found out about it many years ago from a Penn Grad and have gone to their productions when I can. This years costumes were particularly fabulous!
Only been for private event. Interesting space. Cool history.
Historic Building, Georgeous Warm Charming Atmosphere, Original Entertainment Productions! Ive been going to The Mask & Wig Club since 1981.
This venue is amazing. We took a tour of it as a possible site to have our wedding at. It was gorgeous, well preserved historically, with a fun/funky feel.
I was excited to see the sketch by Mask and Wig at the Family Weekend performing arts night. It started off clever- a parody of Tradition called Tuition, breaking down the different groups of students at Penn: pre-meds, athletes... Then to my horror this skit said the women students at Penn, Princesses, came just to hook a husband! To make it worse they made this a parody of Jewish women specifically, making them seem shallow, laughable and money -grabbing. It was beyond offensive and embarrassing! What blew me away the most was that these boys felt comfortable enough in this sick world view to parade it at family weekend! Im glad they think themselves so desirable that all the women there just want to snag them. In reality its harder for women to get into college then men, and they may just actually have career aspirations. Ive been told this is typical in this groups depictions of women. Jerks!
Great show from Mask And Wig! Very quaint amd charming.
