Terrible experience not once, not twice, but three times did I give Waxing the city a chance. My very first wax was a disaster. When I called to let the receptionist Emily know about my experience she was very kind and scheduled me with herself (whom is no longer with the company.) After that I never had any issues with a wax until Emily left the company. My following wax after her leaving was again the most horrible experience. I was left with patches and later on ingrown hairs which I had never had an issue with. I called again to voice my concerns and all I got was “I’m sorry you had a bad experience, how about we put you with someone else for your next appointment.” Like no come on in for a touch up or any kind of compensation. I canceled my membership that day. From then on I only went into waxing the city to buy my exfoliating products and picked out the coconut scent in the body butter and the scrub. The body butter smelled completely different from the scrub, so I called and explained this to the manager. Obviously once again was no help knowing that I suffer from migraines and that their body butter smelled completely different from the scrub. I didn’t even want a refund I just wanted a exchange of scent, but not even that could be accomplished. I spent so much money here and all the can offer was a discount on a different purchase. Terrible customer experiences please don’t waste your money or time.

I do mu brows there all the time they’re always so nice and welcoming. And they’re always on time and sanitized. They’ve always made sure I left happy with the way they did my eyebrows. Really recommend!

Got the Brazilian as always. Went to a woman I haven’t been to before can’t remember her name.🥴 Friendly, quick, attentive, & professional. Only disappointment was there was literally one strip left that was missed, & was bleeding slightly after. 🥴

The actual wax was okay I would say got 80% hair out but you could definitely find somewhere better for cheaper.But even with that being said I would have given three stars; just average. The reason for the one star is they could care less about YOU the actual customer. When going to a waxing place one would think you would at least be treated like a human being but all they actually care about is your money. They have 0 compassion for the real people that enter into their business.. unless of course you don’t mind their random extra charges.Your first time there, they’ll treat you nice. The second time? All of a sudden the treatment gets worse? Given it’s a small business I just thought they’d appreciate repeating customers; in actuality they could care less about you. Not woc friendly in my opinion.

Emily is by far my favorite waxing specialist I have ever had. My brows have welcomed so many compliments! As well as the sheer professionalism of Emily and bed-side manner she has when waxing other places - I cant imagine going anywhere else.

NOT WOMEN OF COLOR FRIENDLY. Charged my sister her card even though she was not receiving any texts from them, essentially took a $100. Do not recommend going, find better wax pieces in Pflugerville like Lunchbox Wax or European Wax Center.Cant believe a small business would do their customers this dirty.

Amber was my cerologist and she could not have been better!! She was professional, courteous and attentive. The front desk staff who greeted me and booked my next appointment was pleasant and friendly, and answered all questions I had with a smile. Facility was very clean and overall comfortable for the services they perform. I can’t wait to use Amber again for all my waxing needs. She was amazing!!

Everything was so clean and professional! Bobbi and Triona took amazing care of me and I felt so pampered! I highly recommend the full Brazilian if you’ve never tried it. Bobbi does a phenomenal job and I’m going back to try her Henna eyebrows next along with another full wax! They are great priced and do an amazing job! Previously, when I’ve had waxing done my skin got very irritated. I had no skin irritations or aggravations. They are amazing.

I got my membership when I lived in Kirkland WA and during COVID I moved back to Texas. In Dallas I could not use my membership because they did not accept membership credits so I had to pay for sessions. This made my membership balance go up for months. Once I moved to Austin the only location was 35 min away. I did not cancel my membership bc I had too many credits. I usually went to Emily who is great. One weekend I booked it with a random person bc she was not available. The day of the wax was a rainy day so traffic was moving slow. I called them to let them know my ETA was showing 4 min late which i figured it would be ok bc I would always have to wait when I arrived. Once I arrived I went to the room and was told by the lady to get ready and she would be back, but she then added that she would have to “modify” my wax. I was surprised by it bc It was 9:36 and the wax was scheduled for 9:30. I think if she would have at least said, I can try to get it done but if we can’t I’ll have to modify it I would have been ok with it, but it just seemed like she didn’t care or didn’t want to. I was not ok with that so I went ahead and canceled. When we were going back to the front she said she would just book me for another time but I was upset bc I drove 35 min to get there and just to cancel and having to do it again was too much. After that I realized it was time to cancel my membership. I had to purchase $275 worth of product to use my account credit so I didn’t have to go back. I filled out my cancellation form and had to send to the location in Kirkland bc I can’t cancel a membership at a different location. My membership ended on the 3rd and I submitted the form on the 6th. I asked them Not to charge my card bc I would not like to go back due to the situation. This morning my card was charged bc of the 3 day difference. This just proved that this business is here for the money.

I enjoyed my visit and the service was great. The business was clean and I felt safe. This staff was friendly and made some great recommendations for other businesses around town with different services for me to try. I will definitely go back soon.

Ive been in several times to see Alyssa for a Brazilian, and let me tell you I will be going to European Wax Center no longer! The protocol in which they wax here is much less painful than any other salon Ive been to, and Ive tried many places. Alyssa is super thorough and takes her time! The ONLY negative regarding this salon is the location - it is super busy with limited parking so factor in several minutes to even cross the street to get in. I wish they would open another location in RR or Georgetown!

The facility is super clean and modern. Bobbi is fantastic at what she does along with a helpful staff to address any questions or concerns that I had. Their services are top notch and worth every cent. I would highly recommend scheduling some time with Bobbi asap.

I had the absolute best experience at Waxing the City Pflugerville! I just moved to Austin and I desperately needed a brow wax and Angela did SUCH a great job. On top of literally one of the best brow shaping appointments I’ve ever had, she was so sweet and easy to talk to. She kept me laughing the whole appointment! Other than Angela being the literal best, the location was convenient and the ladies at the front desk were incredibly attentive and helpful. I was a little hesitant going to a new place with COVID but the studio was absolutely spotless. They have an incredible structure in place to ensure you are the only client in the studio. Once your cero (waxer) is ready for you, you simply get a text saying it’s okay to come in. My appointment was at 10:00 and they promptly told me Angela was ready at 9:45 saving me a lot of time. I also went on a Saturday morning so I expected a wait but was seen very promptly. I would recommend this location to anyone!

Absolutely wonderful! The location is super modern and very clean and well kept. I went in for a Brazilian and brows, and lash tint or my brows and lashes. The employees were super professional and helpful. I left looking amazing 😊 I also purchased one of the loofah products for my fiancé and he loved it, great scent and got lots of use out of it.

The ladies here basically made me feel like a princess while I was waiting for my service and then did a great job with my wax. The services are really reasonably priced, with half off on the first trip. Its definitely better than driving into town for the more expensive high end wax services.

Don’t believe in their cancellation policy! Don’t give them you card. They charged me twice and I was “rescheduling” one appointment but you can only use your rescheduling appointment two weeks after you pay.I’ve never been there but I wouldn’t trust a company that charge twice without getting any service.

I was a customer for over a year here and loved the customer service for a while. But staff changes over time and with that comes awful service. The owner has no communication . My last appointment I was less than five minutes late and had called to let them know. The manager let me know it would be apart of my appointment time. I was okay with that but then I get there and my waxer tells me I have to choose one of the two services I booked since I was late. They made it seem like I was 15 minutes late. After canceling my membership and speaking with the manager who quickly dismissed my concerns; I decided to email the franchise owner who never responded. I used to want to recommend this place. Now if anyone were to ask Id say stay far far away”.

I scheduled an appointment, didnt come in until I was text to come in b/c pre Covid I was told that wed have to wait then come in. I was told I was late & if still be charged after declining the lessor service. So I began to ask information about the Manager and the regional, received the information and confirm the the credit of $60. I ask the lady at the desk what time was the next appointment she told me that she still would not be able to see me although people may cancel because it is still considered fully booked. I told her Id wait and tried to gain understanding of the policy. As I look at the products considering I was told I was charged for a service that I would not be refunded but had two weeks to use it. While my Yorkie and I reviewed the products Nicole comes from the back saying if I were to refuse to leave the owner said to call the police. Baffled trying to understand why she would come from the back saying this to me I immediately pulled my phone out and began recording. I was not asked to leave, I was not being rude or belligerent yet you are going to call the police on someone because I asked you about the regional, my credit, and was looking at what I could possibly use this credit for? I could not believe that this was happening Such poor poor customer service, maybe my skin color or my Yorkie offended you by asking normal questions without attitude. Ladies of color beware. After being a customer over a year, since grand opening? I will never return. Train your people because what happened today really wouldve gotten you a lawsuit. A lapse in communication and poor judgement & understanding doesnt justify what I recorded today

Got an eyebrow waxing done but the woman did more plunking then waxing and in the end they were not shaped or cleaned up at all. Plus they did not give any aloe or soothing agent, didnt brush off any stray hairs, nor brush the brow for styling. I felt like it was a very lazy job and the worst brow shaping Ive ever had done. Definitely not worth their expesive price tag.

I loved my experience this weekend and was able to get a same day visit. My brows look amazing !

Waxing the City is new in Pflugerville. Prime location as it sits in the Stonehill Shopping Center near eateries and lots of stores. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff are very friendly. Bobbi Douglas did a great job on my waxing services. She was very patient and made the experience a good one. One perk I might add, I purchased Pathology Rejuvenating Eye Gels at a great price and they work wonders for under-eye puffiness and dark circles. Thank you Waxing the City!
