Horrible, they left trash every week at our house all over the place. Drivers are rude and threatening to anyone who ask anything..
Karina is awesome! Shes always super responsive and gets us on the schedule immediately after we talk. The service is wonderful! Highly recommend!
This company is very hard to get a hold of. Emails are not accepted through Reply, website is not user friendly and is not working at times. Customer service is bad. Operators are curt and rude. Wait time for phone help is ridiculously long. Something in their communications is wrong. We receive Cancelations notices regularly even though we are on a reoccurring payment schedule. Not recommended.
Trying to figure out how to get another company to pick up our trash
This company took out trash can three weeks ago. And have yet to bring us another one. I have called 5 times and been assured a new bin was in it way. There customer service is terrible.
Unfortunately as a Pflugerville resident Im locked into using this company, but Id almost pat extra to get another company.Every week there is a street in my neighborhood which is missed, and if you call to ask them to collect they treat you like you did something wrong. Their trucks lose trash all up and down the street, resulting in garbage day making the neighborhood look like a trash can spilled, and the trucks are driven unsafely down the street. Terrible service, worst Ive ever seen.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this companies residential trash service. Lets break it down. 1.) Poor service: frequently missed pickups. Throwing away trashcan lids. Frequently delayed pickups. No communication for scheduled pick up changes for holidays. Total lack of customer care when issues are created by their own staff. 2.) Poor Value: Extremely expensive. Service pricing has gone up over $40 Per quarter since start of service less than two years ago. Reason for price changes according to their lead customer care agent is due to landfill pricing increases and labor increases. Yet services rendered do not reflect good workmanship, but we are left with cost increases. No one can or will help with issues related to the service. No refunds. No return visits. No body knows anything other than it isn’t their fault. Long hold times. The operations department is separate from the customer care department. The customer care department will promise one thing only for it to be turned down by the operations department. And vice-versa. Tough luck. 3.) Not Professional: If your trash can for what ever reason was knocked over you will be charged for the visit and they will not return to pick up your trash. We called customer care for an issue much like this and we were told no problem we will have some back out to pick up the trash. Keep in mind that all trash was picked up by us. Then operations will call you back and make the assumption that it is the consumers fault and you will pay for the visit and they will not return till the next scheduled appointment. Also, keep in mind that the trash could have been knocked over by the garbage truck or dropped in the ditch by misshandling from the collector. Operations will tell you that they have to review the footage of the pickup, but it is still your fault. You the customer are guilty until proven innocent. The only time you as a consumer will receive a callback from this company is when they are gladly going to tell you that they arent doing anything for you “Tough luck” and “Can I connect you with someone to help you cancel your service?” Please use extreme caution when using this company if it is your only choice. We live in rural area and they were our only option; they know this and exploit it well. Also, keep in mind that this is just a trash service and it isn’t rocket science. This shouldn’t be this difficult, and especially at these prices.
The absolute worst service. I have to use them as there is no other provider in my area, and thats exactly how they treat their customers.
Moved to Pflugerville in September. I know my trash guy Shelton and my recycle guy Jack and they are fantastic ! Always have a smile on their face, always wave and talk to me at the curb and when I was out of surgery they even helped me take my cans up to the house. Its nice to see a company with employees that care about their customers... I think its a great reflection of how they run things. I would recommend these guys to anyone
I have no problem with the provided garbage cans, but I also use a 2 handle Brute cann from Home Depot. They either don’t try and empty it or like today, dumped it all over the sidewalk in front of my house. There was grass everywhere.
They stopped picking up in February and still wanted to get paid. I cancelled and expected them to come and get their totes. A month later and they still had not picked up their trash and recycling containers. I have been calling several times a week since February. Its now the end of June and they still have not picked up their totes but for some reason they have started picking up the trash again (but the recycling totes sit there full and havent been touched). Waste Connections completely destroyed what was a pretty good company when they bought Vaquero.I wish there was some way to give them less than one star.
I live in a small condo community (22 units) and were supposed to get service on Tuesdays and Fridays. It seems that I am calling the property management company every week to report that Waste Connections simply didnt show up and our dumpster is overflowing. It is the rare week that they show up according to schedule and contract.
Company missed a trash pick up so I sat on hold for 38 minutes to let them know. A rep said they would pick it up that day or next. When they failed to do that, I called back but “due to high call volume” they couldn’t take my call but I could leave a message. But of course, their mailbox was full. Excellent...
Jenna is great to work with and she makes sure we are completely taken care of. Our dumpster gets serviced on schedule every week. We are happy to work with Waste Connections!
This company has been a nightmare from the beginning. When you have been on hold for more than 30 minutes and still cant get through it is time to change companies, except guess what you cant get through to cancel this service. No wonder the rating for them is so low.. Salford was better
Here I sit on hold this Monday morning on hold with 17 callers in front of my call to ask Waste Connections why they didnt pick up my company trash container once again. 16 minuets on hold and waiting Im caller # 15 now and this will make the 6th. time Ive called to get my company trash picked up this year. Last year same thing. Cant cancel the contract without being sued which means attorneys and an additional $5,000 in fees. Im # 4 now. Bad Service.
We were progressive waste customers for about a year before moving to a new location. Eight months after we stop using progressive, I got a call saying that we had a refund check for $18 but they didnt have my new address. I was impressed by their customer service.
Still waiting on my trash and recycling bins after moving into my home over 2 weeks ago...not a new resident, been in the same town for 13yrs just moved homes and they cant seem to figure out how to drop off a trash and recycling bin.
I never had a problem with Salford Disposal. In fact they were the service i initiated based on a recommendation from a friend in manor. i live in a manufactured housing community across from Gus Garcia Middle School. When we moved in, the entire neighborhood of about 100 homes was serviced by Waste Mgmt for an OUTRAGEOUS fee. Salfords fee was almost HALF. Within 6 months I got this whole community to switch. Since Waste Connections took over, they have steadily raised rates and added various fees. Beginning with the last quarter of 2018 they initiated a fuel surcharge fee and ours is $16!!!! Its amazing how a small company managed to provide decent service at a low cost for YEARS but as soon as a large one buys it out, theres no waste of time gouging customers. Hoping to find a new provider soon and when i do i will bring the whole damn neighborhood with me.
Waste Connections changed my account number which automatically canceled my auto-payment. They then picked up my trash container for mon payment. I called them the same day and they still charged me a $40 restart fee to restart service. All of my current payment methods were still stored online...just had to change my auto-draft to their new account number...nonsense
Everything went downhill as soon as Waste Connections bought out my previous trash company. Waste Connections is a large corporate company that doesnt care about its customers.Just a heads up, you will spend FOREVER on hold to speak to a live person!Waste connections didnt pick up our garbage for 3 weeks and I constantly complained. It was a pain as each time I called I sat on hold for 15-30 minutes as that is how long it takes to finally reach a live representative. Each time I called I was told my trash would be picked up the same day I called. They had given me the excuse that the driver didnt know the route.When I finally told them that I wanted to cancel my services, my trash still wasnt picked up and it had been almost 3 WEEKS! My house was overflowing with garbage and it was really unsanitary. They mentioned that they let managers know and even the GENERAL MANAGER! No management ever called me back.I let them know that my neighborhood has a bunch of stray dogs that kept knocking over my trash can and ripping up my bags. They didnt care, they still wanted my trashcan out every single day for a whole week as they kept saying they were going to pick it up.So on the 3rd week I set up service with Donnie Stark who answered right away with excellent customer service. They even PICKED UP my trash that Waste Connections promised to get and never did.So then I have the Waste Connections can sitting in my yard which is fully fenced around. Since they never came to pick up my trash, I was going to keep the trash can and use it for chicken feed. Well, I come home one Tuesday and see that it is gone! Tuesday was my scheduled trash pick up. So their drivers had the nerve to go over my fence and take the trash can from my yard.Its really f*d up in my opinion that they would wait over 4 weeks and then go over my fence to take back their trashcan and yet they never even picked up my trash for 3 weeks!I would never recommend this awful, pitiful, kneaving company, Waste Connections to anyone. Stay as far away as you can from them.Use Donnie Stark if you are in caldwell or bastrop county or use TDS.

Waste connection / Salford is the worst company ever. I’ve had issues with my trash service from day 1. Please over look them and find someone else to pick up your trash.

Horrible customer service. Cancelled a month ago and their can is still at my driveway. Their billing department is a joke. Go with Shamrock if available.
We have been long time customers of this trash removal service. Then One day, our garbage was not collected. We called the main number and the representative scheduled a pickup for the same day, next day at the latest. thanks for taking care of us IESI!
