I didnt have an appointment, so I was squeezed in and that was a fact. Maybe if the barber had more time the hair cut would have been as nice as his shop. The shop and his positive attitude saved the day. When back in the area I will surely call in advance to make an appointment.

Fab cuts. Good crew! Small shop. Go easy on them on the parking. If you want to make sure you can get a cut, make an appointment! But if they can squeeze you in, they will. Not sure whats up with the 666 number one of the guys has but okay.

First time there, friend recommended it. Awesome job and probably one of the best barber shop experiences in a while. Danger did a great job and everyone was talking and enjoying the evening. If you like a good haircut for a reasonable price, I recommend this spot just call ahead for an appointment.

These guys know how to do it. They do take a little while on their cuts, but the final product shows that theyre only taking their time to make sure its perfect. I called on a Monday evening and had an appointment for 5:30pm set up on Tuesday, no problem. As long as you setup an appointment you should be fine. Couldnt recommend these guys enough.

One of the best places Ive ever been to get a haircut, coming from someone who usually cuts their own hair because of bad haircuts at previous barbershops; Its nice to be at a place that actually knows what theyre doing and leaves you confident in what you paid for. Jay and Danger will give you the freshest hair cut in the Hopewell, Petersburg, Fort Lee area. Black, white, curly, doesnt matter. They do have some odd tendencies. First, you feel like an idiot holding the wash cloth around your head. Ive never had to do that before in the 30 years of haircuts Ive had. Second, when he does do the wash cloth he puts it over the foam and wipes it all off. So, by the time he gets around to razoring, your skin is dry and it doesnt feel so great. Lastly, I get their new shop is much nicer and they offer coffee which is nice. But, $20 is a bit high for a haircut. I lived in NYC and Miami I paid $19. So, $20 is high for Petersburg VA. However, they can charge that because they are literally the best barbers youre going to get in the Fort Lee area.

This is the best place to get a haircut! I have made the drive on from Richmond regularly because I know I can rely on the quality of the cut. Well worth the wait and the fact that they are always full is testament to how they are respected and valued by their customers.

This is a GREAT little shop to get a quality haircut! Im not a fussy guy. So its been strange to be getting so many compliments since switching over to TCE. The crew is very friendly but your first experience can seem like the Seinfeld episode about the Soup Nazi. Youll have to learn a few rules about where to park and where to hang your jacket. Its not a huge deal though as the quality of the cut makes it worth your while. Its the best Ive had in my 53 years on this Earth. Oh ... and make sure you call ahead as theyre always busy. Though Ive always been able to get in on the same day I call.

I have driven by the place many times and noticed it but put it aside. I am a 57 year old Navy veteran on permanent disability. I rode by yesterday and got the urge to stop. I got lucky I walked through the door and the first person I saw was this huge fellow working on the styling of some guy in the first chair.I was about to sit on the bench seat they have and wait my turn. Then this half low rider/Yankee fan type guy spins from the big screen TV they have and asks me if I have an appointment. Of course I told him no. He asked, What you need? Of course i said I wanted a high and tight. Most of you will get that and for those that dont just go and ask for Jay or anyone in the shop. Its an old school reference to military style haircuts.

Very professional crew. All i had to do was make an appointment and show up. They took the time to do a proper fade and finished it off with a straight razor. I was cut by Ray, and if i had more time here i wouldnt go anywhere else.

Parking is horrible, staff can be abrupt. Someone called in my appointment and the staff took it upon themselves to make me wait for the gentleman to return. Whom I did not request even though there was a free chair! Id avoid this place moving forward!
