Mark knows what he is doing, has a great eye for details and gets the job done beautifully.The original hardwood flooring that we found under the cheep flip job flooring was a mess. Sections had been cut into to get to the sub flooring, large areas had paint damage and other ares where missing material. Our house is old and not completely even or level either, but some how he made the floors look perfect. 5 Stars to the extensive subfloor repair, weaving new material and restoration of the original material. My husband and I cant be more happy with the out come.Mark is also quick to respond and very easy to communicate with.Now the reason I gave the 4 stars is a reflection of how the calculation of estimates was handled. My husband and I were very forgiving a few different times when it came to numbers and estimates that were generated. Without going too far into detail, bottom line is triple check the numbers and ask him to do the same before he has to make excuses or plead for forgiveness for calculation/estimate errors. Thankfully his calculation skills dont reflect on the kind of work he does. He truly is a master of his craft.

We found Golden Oak Flooring through on-line reviews after we purchased our home in Petaluma. Our home had some existing red oak flooring that we wanted to refinish as well as install new oak flooring throughout the house to match the existing. Mark came in a gave us a competitive estimate. He was very professional, on time and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk us through options and had patience with us as we changed our minds several times during the design process which caused him to rework his bids.The work was performed as expected with a very high degree of detail and craftsmanship. Looking at the areas were the new floor was installed next to the existing, we could not tell the difference. We are extremely pleased with Marks company and the final result.We have since damaged the floor and had Mark come back to do some minor repairs. Again, he was prompt in his response and demonstrated exceptional customer service. I highly recommend Golden Oak Flooring for your flooring project.

Mark and his team from Golden Oak Flooring had the expertise to install the best floors and stairs I’ve ever walked on, and the knowledge to advise me along the way. Mark listened to what I wanted and helped me choose the best options for my home. Then they installed a classically beautiful white oak hardwood floor, sanded it in place, and finished it throughout our whole house. They also installed an amazing custom floating staircase with the same white oak. Everything came out perfect, and I get comments all the time on how great everything looks. I would recommend them to anyone, and if I ever need another floor I’ll be happy to call them again.

If you want absolutely beautiful floors done by a perfectionist at a great price Mark is your man! I called half a dozen floor companies and had them all come out. Mark was by far the most knowledgeable, with expertise in selecting color, had the best price, perfectionist in all the fine details I didnt even notice, and best of all he is so much fun to work with! Im remodeling my home and with new painting, carpet, kitchen, etc everyone raves the most at my gorgeous floors! My house has transformed because of these floors. We decided to extend hardwood flooring into our master bedroom and the adjacent bath and walk-in closet. Golden Oak matched the high quality existing hardwood flooring wood, stain and finish so that they blend seamlessly. The project started within a week and was finished within a week. The craftsmen were courtesy, timely, and they cleaned up before they left each day. Mark was flexible and made project adjustments we wanted, and very much appreciated. Fabulous job!! Mark and his crew installed laminate flooring in our bedroom and refinished the hardwood floors in our living room and guest rooms. It is amazing what the finished product looked like. We are so happy with our beautiful new white oak floors in the living room, dining room, and hallway. Mark and his crew did excellent work in timely fashion. We had seen their craftmanship in Wischemann Hall in Sebastopol where we dance several nights a week and were so impressed that we called him to do our floor as well.
