Great club! It is super lit! The energy is so contagious. The owner is on site and really makes you feel welcomed and talks to you about your individual goals. The employees are helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. I just cant say enough about the energy in this club. It will grab you and make you feel just as lit as they all are! If you are looking for a great diverse club then look no further because you wont be disappointed! The classes are so fun and you wont want to go anywhere else.
If you have the slightest curiosity to check this place out..do it. I have been a member for about 6 months, and it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. There are people from all walks of life in the class, so no one should feel intimidated to come inside. The owner, Doug is great. The trainers are some of my favorite people I’ve ever met. They will push you beyond what you knew you were capable of, and the rest is up to you. Learn to throw some mean punches, build stamina, strength, and confidence.. and it’s fun, so it makes it easy to come back. Do yourself a favor, and make a commitment to yourself. Once you start seeing results, which I promise you will quickly, you will fall in love with the energy and endorphins.
The trainers were all very welcoming and had great customer service. My issue was the owner. He was rude in his tone and does not know how to communicate with people properly. He turned me off from wanting to join the club. The facility has so much potential but the membership prices are outrageous and more options should be provided. I have a college age daughter who would love to join the club because the facility is down the street from UWF but there seems to not even be a student discount. Some modifications need to be done with the facility, the change should start with who the owner is. I have heard from others in the community and members of Title Boxing Club who have been very displeased with the owner and the way he speaks to people. Saddening because the staff is amazing and the concept of the facility is wonderful. Money is all the owner cares about and his treatment of his staff is utterly poor. He must relay different information to different staff members because it’s all skewed and he seems to be training them to focus on the money rather than purpose of the club....fitness & fun.
I loved working out here but when I needed to relocate I went through all the requirements to cancel my contract. I got email confirmation and even spoke on the phone with someone to make sure I was cancelled. Well 4 months later and they continue to charge me. I have emailed and called them but now they say only the owner (Doug) can cancel for me. They say they have left him multiple messages for him to call me back and I have sent emails to his attention. No luck. Do not sign a contract with them if there is any chance you will need to cancel it.In reply to your response, I did pay the November payment as per my cancellation agreement. However, you continued to charge me Dec through Feb. And no one replied to any of my emails or calls so if there was a misunderstanding as you claim, why did not one let me know.I have my Membership Change Form and it states the last debit will occur on 11/20/2020.
Honestly they are extremely pricey, but the trainer BK was awesome he focused on all of us in the gym and pushed us to do our best, I liked the gym alot but it didnt truly feel like a real boxing gym, I cant really say anything bad about their gym because I was extremely satisfied with the trainer BK I THINK HE DESERVES A RAISE
One of the best customer service I have ever experienced! My family and I felt welcomed.
The class is great but the manager was totally disrespectful. I tried to get a refund for a membership due to personal reasons. He told me he didnt have time to look for my paperwork and thats just how he does business. When I told him I would report his business he straight up said he doesnt care. Horrible and absolute disrespectful!!!
Great workout if you need to let out tons of energy and want to be pushed to your limits.
Amazing workout! Great instructors! The personal training is definitely worth the money too! I love it!!!
I love that the workouts remain challenging. My favorite trainer is BK! He is personable, consistently encouraging, and he wont ever let you quit. It is evident that he really loves what he does. #EasyWork🥊🥊
UPDATE 10/6/17I was asked to come back a change my star rating after management had addressed my concerns and the matter resolved, then I saw your response and am compelled to respond and will not change my rating after reading it. Please see below for my responses to your claims.I appreciate your apology for my injury and yes, staff worked with me, however, it was too little, too late. You state that you work with clients when they first begin on technique, I can assure you that this did not happen in my experience with Title Boxing, hence my injury. My injury occur 2 weeks into my membership, you offered a techniques class on week 3 of my membership, the damage was already done. And yes I did come non stop in the beginning and was not discouraged by staff, in fact, I was encouraged by staff, this included Title Boxing promotions. Do you not remember Augusts 31 classes in 31 days that was widely promoted in store and on social media ? Title Boxing also posts in the gym, the names of members who have completed 16 classes or more in a particular month. When your trainers use terms like go as hard as you can and power punches that indicates that the trainers want you to HIT HARD. I can understand why you would want to distance yourself from ANY responsibility, and I obviously take partial responsibility because I landed the punch, but had I been shown how to land a punch correctly on day one, I would not have the injury I still have to this day. FYI, I did rest, but way before I was advised to by staff.Yes I do understand business costs and that is why I commented on your pricing. I am entitled to my opinion. Regarding the music, it would only take one solely designated speaker for the trainer to resolve the sound issue. Surely you wouldnt have to increase your membership fees over one speaker? You stated that you appreciate your customers, in my experience I did not find that to be true. After your response, even though your management had resolved the issue you essentially publicly blamed me for the lack of communication between trainers and clients. The result being, I am no longer a member and will not recommend Title Boxing as a safe place to work out.I am injured. I injured my right hand within the 2nd week of me joining in late June 2017. On approaching a few trainers after the class and several days after the initial injury, I was shown the correct way to land my punches. Finding this out post injury is too late, and I still carry this injury currently. Therefore not being able to complete the workouts to my full potential. I was told that a techniques class would be held one week later for $10. I paid the 10 bucks and attended, but as far as I am concerned, techniques should be shown at the beginning of every class during the warm up. Corporate shouldnt charge their members for basic techniques that will avoid injuries and improve work outs: It is an industry standard and plain common sense.I have tried multiple different wraps and wrapping styles, I am about to wear cycling gloves over the wraps for added protection. I hope this helps otherwise I will have to stop boxing, which really frustrates me, as this could have been completely avoided if corporate included techniques in there warm up. Since joining, there has been one chargeable techniques class offered! INCREDIBLE!!! I DONT BELIEVE CORPORATE VALUES ITS MEMBERS.
The motivation at Title is outstanding! We all know that working out individually often times lacks that push that we need to do our best. Title’s instructors offer the accountability and motivation needed to strive for your best in each class.
My wife was turned away by the owner who was VERY RUDE. Stated since she didnt properly warm up he wouldnt let her Box. She was slightly late. He takes it a step further to tell her if this happened last time you came its because he wasnt their. She asked to cancel the program before it charges in Jan 2020 because of his unprofessional attitude, so he hands her a piece of paper and walks away. Doesnt say anything JUST RUDE for no reason. Now my wife thinks he only did it because she was BLACK.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Let me start off by saying that me and my wife were so excited to join. Totally ecstatic. We only went for a couple of months until the atmosphere just didnt feel welcoming at all. Sure its aggressive, its boxing. But the objective is obvious, its not helping you live a better life, its more money for them. Total crooks. DO NOT sign that contract. If you get in a bind, because we all know life changes, they have no mercy on your contract and they will demand every penny. Every time Ive called to talk to them, information is skewed across employees about their policies and procedures. My first and last time to speak to their manager, I overheard him chewing out his employee for not settling the phone call with me before he had to talk to me. Youd think hed be less of a coward (note condescending comment below) and more of a manager and speak to me right off the bat to ensure that the customer is satisfied. Instead, his wallet is satisfied and that was all that mattered to him. Yeah its my fault to committing to a contract, thats me being accountable, but how you speak with, interact, and convey your intentions to your customers means everything. Their intentions are clear.. money, money, money. The workouts are decent, the startup costs to buy gloves and other supplies is costly, trying to make it there before they close at a ridiculous-early 7pm is difficult for a busy lifestyle, and the staff are uninformed and partially uninviting. Disgusting experience to say the least.
The way the workout is set up is for you to go at your own pace but also to encourage other guests there to do their best and to continue. You’re never forced to go fast or do better, you just see other people doing their best so it makes you want to do your best and you do. The work out is short but extreme and you feel it for a few days afterwards but it makes you feel like you’re actually doing something for yourself.
Visiting from Kansas. Great facility. Always welcoming and treated as a local member. Trainers are great and the work outs are intense! Highly recommended. Thank you TBC Pensacola.
When I am boxing i have to listen to the trainers and do the moves they call out. During that time I am only thinking about the moves and nothing else. It is the only time my mind is on only one thing. It is truly my time. I have really enjoyed learning different techniques from different trainers, each one brings something different to the table.
I have never enjoyed working out until I joined Title. All of their trainers are top notch and push you to do your best. I love Title and proud to be a part of this club!
There are tons of bags so people dont feel cramped. The instructors walk around and give great instruction and feedback. Not only do I get a good workout, but I am improving on my form. There are classes offered throughout the day so theres never any excuse to miss. You can individualize each workout to your own ability so regardless if its your first time or twenty-first youll be able to get a lot out of every class.
This was my first time stepping foot into a proper boxing gym!! I was impressed! First impression, walking into smiling faces!! Next, how clean they keep the gym! Very well organized, polite and welcoming staff, helpful trainers who are eager to answer ANY questions and teach! It was my first time boxing so I took advantage of the free first class! The woman named Megan was so friendly! She told me all about the gym, showed me where everything was and discussed membership pricing with me! She answered all of my silly questions and didn’t leave any details out! Next she introduced me to Conner who would be my trainer for my first class! What a sweetheart he was! He showed me how to wrap my hands properly, he showed me extensive proper SAFE techniques, he answered all my questions and most importantly, he made me feel comfortable! It was such an amazing class!! Today I am going in for my second class and signing up for the three month membership deal! I will purchase a pair of gloves from the shop there (half price!) which are very good quality (the trainers use them). They also offered me a Personal Training class included in the promo price which will only benefit me and help even more with my safety!! I can’t wait to meet more people and become apart of the Title fam! Thank you to the staff that helped me!! Keep it up! 👏🏼🤩
I joined back in January Title Boxing Club the program they offer for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. It is called the Rock Steady Boxing Pensacola. All the staff and trainers are top notch individuals. They really care for us and teach us how to exercise and overcome the challenges we have with our disability. I totally recommend this club to all. Check us out on Facebook.
I enjoy the structure of the class. While the class is already broken down into a warmup, the workout, and core work, the trainers take it a step further and break down the workouts into small manageable tasks. I appreciate that I can focus on which combinations to use for 35 seconds or a minute, instead of worrying that I might have 15 minutes left of boxing. I just feel that the trainers set me up to achieve my goal.
This place is awesome. You will definitely feel the burn and be a little sore the next day. Well worth a hour out of your day!
I love this workout! This is a workout that will challenge you, make you sweat, and want to scream for mercy but keep you coming back for more. Im looking forward to my next workout!
To be fair, most of the trainers work really hard to give you a good workout. And for anyone who already knows techniques to avoid injury & owns QUALITY boxing gloves of their own, this may be the place to workout for you. However, I was informed by a trainer (AFTER buying gloves and wraps from Title and injuring my hand) that they are not the best quality gloves & they don’t provide as much protection as they should. Which shouldn’t be the case if they want to be able to safely teach people who have had no prior boxing experience. After the injury, one of the trainers spent about 5 minutes showing ways that I may not be landing my punch properly and how to land it correctly and then I was informed about the technique class that you can PAY for. This helped only to an extent because my hand was already injured at this point.A gym like this should do more to inform and teach their new members about technique and ways to avoid injury AT THE BEGINNING. Not once they’ve injured themselves. Another issue is that if a person has every intent of sticking with the membership and then has to stop because of injury (as was my case) you have to PAY to cancel. I just love the idea of paying to injure myself and then paying to get out of an agreement to injure myself. Seeing as how their motto is “HIT IT HARD” and you are encouraged during classes to do so, it is only natural that a person could injure themselves if not being taught properly from the beginning.Upon coming in to cancel, I met the owner for the first time. He mentioned that my injury may have been due to not being taught how to properly wrap my hands and then suggested I buy gel inserts for my gloves. (Is your only concern making money here???) When I told him that I’d began working out at another establishment, he says in a patronizing tone “That’s better suited for you since you don’t have to hit anything.” Seeing as how he just met me and knows nothing about my body or what’s better suited for me, this was a little disconcerting. I would have no issues being “suited” for boxing as a form of cardio if I’d been well equipped when I began. I truly, truly enjoyed it...just not the injuries that this place seemingly sets you up for. So yes, it does “suit” me to exercise at a place where I can get an amazing workout without worrying about injuring myself!
The environment and Energy Is Very Nice. Love that its no judgement.
I loved it it was a full body workout. I was amazed at how fast the 30 minutes went by. And then I worked my tail off but it only felt like five minutes. Cannot wait for my next class!
It was upbeat, motivating, and enough to challenge me, but not overwhelm me. It was exactly what I needed. If I had a reliable form of transportation that allowed me to attend consistently, I would become a member in a heartbeat.
Really liked this place until it was time to cancel. Then they lied, kept charging (including charging me for the cancellation) and took a ton of hoops to even get some money returned. Still did not keep their word at time of cancellation. Its sad as I really liked this place until then.
Really enjoyed the classes and the trainers were so passionate but when it comes to canceling my memebership, it was the worst experience. Not so responsive and somewhat made me feel uncomfortable for cancelling. Know what you’re getting into before you sign up.
The encouragement from the trainers is great...everyone is so kind and accepting no matter what you look like or how old you are...it feels like a team!
Title Boxing Gyms (across the nation) are not true boxing gyms. I walked in to one and asked if they had any double ended bags. The person working looked at me and said...uhhh....what’s that? I chuckled and said ok. How about speed bags. Do you have any speedbags? He said a couple. I said ok. How about a ring. Do you have a regulation size ring? He looked at my sweatshirt which was a Ringside Boxing Equipment sweatshirt and said, this isn’t a real boxing gym like you’re used to. I said ok...thank you very much and walked out. They need to take the words boxing gyms out of their name. My boxing gym has had 2 people come to my gym to learn punching technique. They stayed for a couple of weeks. If you’re looking for a true boxing gym, look for a true boxing gym. Not a Title Boxing Club...a boxing club it isn’t.
I loved how the trainer kept pushing us and told us as a group to not give up
