For all the musicians in the area, John McDowell is the best there is. If you have an amp that is past its warranty, John can take care of it PDQ.Honest, reliable, and thorough. Worth the money.

Mr. McDowell does quality work and is extremely professional. He is honest with his customers and has reasonable prices. I highly recommend Mr. McDowells services.
Took John my vintage Philips turntable to repair and he did an excellent job. A really nice guy and an excellent technician,, Can not recommend him highly enough.
Mr. McDowell saved me $5,554.00! My mini split a/c unit stopped working after a thunderstorm. I hired an a/c company to diagnose ($50) the issue and they discovered the main external motherboard unit was damaged by a frog. The a/c company informed me that my unit and parts were discontinued and they were unable to find a motherboard. The a/c company strongly encouraged me to hire them to replace the entire min split a/c unit for $5,554.00. Instead of spending thousands of dollars, Mr. McDowell fixed my motherboard for $40. He was very curteous, comptent, and trustworthy.
If you need it fixed John is the one to take it to, especially if it is and older piece of electronics. Just fixed my radio in my 2005 Hyundai XG 350L and now it works just like it was new again. Great Job John
Had a part of my kids computer need soldering up as i could not buy a replacement part. Mr. McDowell was able to solder it up and everything is working fine now.
John is thoughtful and knowledgeable, I would recommend anyone with high end audio equipment in need of repair make him your first call.
John is always very helpful and honest.
I called john about having a problem with my cassette deck. He explained several thing that could be wrong and how to analyze the problem. It was determined that the belt on the tape counter had deteriorated which was affecting the operation, I change the belt and it is now good as new. Thanks John for the help.
He helped me with my stereo and he was more of saving me money on things I did not need done and helped me over the phone with an answer that had everyone stumped great man
John is a nice guy, and as others have posted...really knows electronics. He is the ONLY “old school” technician in the area. Sometimes takes a while to get things back (rarely ready when he says it will be)...but they will be done right. For me he has repaired musical amplifiers (2), a home CD player, and a child’s electronic game from the 1990s. He gave me advice on how to do a home-repair for a scratchy volume control on an instrument. He is the ONLY guy I will go to for electronics repair.
Great place to get your car audio in PA amplifiers repaired. This guy knows his stuff.
John is one of the last true old school electronics technicians and one of Pensacolas great treasures. His work is first rate and his pricing very reasonable.

Great guy does great work fair price
Excellent SERVICE & thorough!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The address for John McDowell electronics provided by google is incorrect. It is actually on McCallister Street, north of Pensacola Regional. This guy has been in business in Pensacola for over 15 years and has more than 30 years experience. I had broken OEM CD player for a 93 Ford Mustang which I could not find an original replacement for. I searched and searched for a replacement working CD player but could not find one. After calling several car audio installers in the area who did not do repairs I was referred to John by one of them. Just like the other reviewer said it may take John awhile to repair your unit, but I am positive there is no one else out there that is better at their job. I highly recommend John especially if you have any vintage electronics that need repair.
Friendly and great service
Only guy I know who can repair circuit boards
The man knows what he is doing. Very friendly.
Outstanding service!
