Its a neighborhood barber shop in the classic sense; old magazines, a box television showing westerns, and tonsorial tools from yesteryear (e.g., Barbasol jars and Clubman shave tonics). Charlie delivers a decent haircut at a fair price with a sense of humor. Also, per the below photo, Charlie knows when to take it easy - I walked in one Saturday afternoon and he was out like a light. I just took a seat and watched TV for about 20 minutes until he woke up; better to have a well-rested barber lower your ears than have a tired one snip them off!
Uncle Charlie, been cutting my hair for last 18 years. Now dont rush him, hell give a great haircut most every time..
He been my barber several years .friendly and very talkative
This place was cool. Very laid back and relaxing. Haircut was just the way I asked and I couldnt have asked for anything more.
Have been going here since 1994 and continue to get a great cut and excellent customer service! Uncle Charlie is a great Barber and even a better human being!
Good
Uncle Charlie gives this the old barbershop feel. You can talk about anything and get a good haircut to boot.
Greatest place ever.
I called up the shop to get shop times and asked if he offered straight razor cuts, which he affirmed... Only followed by the information that, [He] dont know how to cut black people hair. I had to laugh and ask if I heard that correctly, to which he again grunted/affirmed and promptly hung up...Interesting note: Im black, but have no discernable accent... Thanks, I guess? Ugh.
Two trips in one. First and last....
Inexpensive great haircuts.!!!
He needs to go to church!!
Charlie has been my barber for over 30 years why change now
