The woman who cut my sons hair all she did was critique the way I held my son for her to cut his hair after she wasted so much time at the beginning while he was entertained on the car chair which ended up me having to hold him because he was over it and didn’t want to sit there anymore. She then continued to Tell me how I named my son after a woman’s name until I had to Google it and prove her wrong. She was rude, unprofessional and wasn’t polite. The haircut didn’t come out well at all. Super bad experience here. Never booking here again especially with Dorcas.

First time taking my twin daughters for their 1st haircut & I absolutely loved this location. The hair cut & style was beautiful… it made them feel like princesses!

Took my 19 month old there for his first haircut and we loved it! Gisela was absolutely wonderful. We went in to make the appointment, and my son was VERY nervous. She welcomed us & even encouraged me to let him hang out in one of the cars and get comfy- even though our appt was for a different day. For the actual cut- she was patient, kind, and we had no tears that day! She also did a great job on the cut. Highly recommend!

I have never met a more unprofessional, disrespectful, arrogant self-centered staff at a CHILDRENS salon in my life. Be careful what you ask for, especially if you are not happy with job that they do. We went in with 2 of our children. One is 2 and doesn’t like getting his haircut. The other had long hair and the stylist butchered my son hair that was long and refused to fix it the same day.(“she was busy”) So they told us to return the next day and then tried to charge us for their stylist inability to cut long hair. Instead of making the first time customer happy and fixing her inability to cut long hair appropriately she refused and I quote says “I don’t know what to do”. What??? You don’t know what to do? She may need to ask herself if that the correct profession. Then the only man that works there has the audacity to make fun of my two year old for the anxiety he had while cutting his hair. Telling my child that he’s a “bad kid” no one and I mean no one needs to tell a child that’s 2, that they do not know and have no relation to, that they are Bad. Takes a real man to make fun of a two year old. Good job sir, I hope you feel good about yourself. Then when we asked for the owner they refused to talk to us. After $68 for a bad haircut and my child being insulted. We will never step foot in that place again. If you choose to go there. Best of luck. You can’t say you weren’t warned.

They provide good service but they wont respect your appointment as if you get late 7 minutes dont even bother to go. Hey 👋7 minutes are u kidding me. So my appointment was 12:20 I arrived 12:28 they cancel my appointment for 1 minutes. Let say they can wait 7 minutes, us a customer we could wait 30 minutes for our service. I left the facility at 12:48 the person that was set to cut my boy hair still wasnt finish with the previous appointment. Is most frustrating my boy was getting haircut for the last 2 year until today.

Clean environment, very friendly staff. Hair dressers do an excellent job with the kids haircuts. They are also very gentle with the kids when moving their heads around, unlike some places I have been to before and they were rough with my 2yr old son. This place is 100% better. The different stations have different vehicles for the kids to sit in while their hair is being cut (Lightening McQueen, a Police car, a Fire truck, a Jeep), and there are TVs at each station that show kid videos.

I will never take my son to get a haircut here again! The guy did a horrible job. To begin his prior appointment was late by more than 15 mins and they took them which means he was late to take my son. After he took his sweet time with the client that was late. He was rushing my sons haircut which by the way, was only his 2nd haircut. Then he was rushing me like no that’s not happening! He left his hair long in certain places the cut was all over the place. Thank god hair grows back! I will never go back and I will not recommend this place.

Great place for a haircut but way way way too expensive. The people are nice, but be prepared to use the owner as an interpreter because the staff doesnt speak English (nothing wrong with that, just be prepared for it). They did a very nice certificate for our babys first haircut with a baggy of hair, which is an amazing touch. The owner, I assume shes the owner, is super nice and the place is very fun and clean. Again, just too expensive...thats the only bad thing about this place.

I have brought my toddler and baby girl here a couple times now, and each time their hair is done by someone different. Not a single time I have any issues, they all show great skills with children of all ages. Super well equipped to keep the children distracted to perform the job.The only thing is do not arrive late if you have an appointment because the girl on the front desk will make sure to bring it up and not in the best manner. Arriving late is on me and that is why I am still giving 5 stars.

Terrible customer service the front desk lady had. Ran 4 minutes late, ONLY 4 minutes, and “I lost my kids haircut appointment”. Cero empathy. Terrible attitude from this lady! Definitely not coming back.

Definately recommend. They did my sons hair perfectly how we wanted it. She was also good with my husband and I arguing about his hair (lol) and being patient with him. We were able to pick which car we wanted to sit him in and they have a loyalty card where the 10th cut is on them. They had TVs for the kids, Xboxs for tweens and in the back a girly spa feel area for the girls.

It was my first time visiting this location. The salon was clean, organized and the staff was super courteous and friendly. We where serviced by Marcos. I explained how tender my daughters scalp is and how all she does is cry and complain when getting her hair done. My daughter fell in love with their shampoo and conditioner saying it smelled like her favorite chocolate. He was extremely gentle even pulled out his special sheers when thinning her hair out to prevent her from feeling any discomfort. On our way out, they gave my daughter a balloon and lollipop which was pretty awesome. Safe to say we will continue to visit this location going forward.

Zulema is AMAZING. SO great with kids. Engaging with parents and makes sure to give the cut you want. Does not speak English well and I dont speak Spanish but we communicated 🙂

Definitely ruined my excitement for my daughters 1st time haircut. There was nothing special about it. You can see her hair is cut uneven. If I didnt say anything the guy would have thrown her hair away on me. My daughter has mostly striaght hair so I was so sad because I wanted her curls from the bottom . I didnt get that. The guy picked up random strands for me to keep. After he was done I swear the guy just walked away. He didnt say goodbye have a nice day. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY this guy . His name is Marcos! Marcos you ruined my first time cutting my daughters hair. I would have gotten better traatment somewhere for a much cheaper price. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

My experience at this place has been terrible. the first thing I can say is that if you offer different games and activities while kids cut their hair, you have to expect them to move.I took my 2 boy, the first 6 years old was playing video games and the hairstylist kept asking him to sit still (he really wasnt moving that much) but the result was not a good hair cut.The 2nd. my 2 year old was crying and even though I told the other hairstylist to just leave him as he was, she kep on cutting and as a result he ended up with few cuts on his back.Lastly - I was charged twice by mistake and told O should see money reimbursed by end of day. 2 days later nothing has happened, I called and they told me I have to come back to get the cash. Just overall terrible customer service and experience. I dont recommend.

The best for your kids

My daughter has cut her own bangs and I brought her in for help on how to salvage it. The salon only made it worse. I should have figured when at the outset the lady told me she didn’t know what to do. Always follow your instinct but if there are any questions on how to do a haircut it’s probably best NOT to make the situation worse. We left with uneven bangs, uneven layers, and many tears. Thankfully we went to a different professional salon the very next day and salvaged it the way it should have been the first time. I wouldn’t come here for a cut, only for the experience of riding on a toy for a photo op.

1 star is too much. Appt for 120pm, waited 30mins with a 14month old and no one came to say how much longer or to apologize. Place can go pound sand.

Really disappointing experience. I made an appointment only to arrive and be told that they are running behind. This happens almost every time I go and I finally decided to take my business elsewhere. As far as the actual haircuts, they do a good job. However, appointments really don’t mean much and the customer service at the reception desk is lacking.

This place is so poorly run.... They don’t respect your time! I made an appointment with Sulema for my son’s haircut. I was there 3 minutes before my appointment just to realize that they just seated a walk in that she hasn’t even started and I had to wait for him to be done to start my son. And they have a kid a in the front desk that kept telling me that there was 3 minutes until my appointment.... that’s the best excuse they found for searing a walk in knowing they had someone schedule to come very soon. So what’s the point of making an appointment? Very disrespectful... you can find a better place, actually I went to lollipops right after (just 5 minutes away) and it exceeded this place by far! Excellent customer service, very clean and organized and Marlen did a great haircut. So I’m very happy this happened. Not coming back to Sharkey’s

Took my son to get an haircut, first time at this barbershop. I have to say I was very disappointed with the cut. The guy spent 10 minutes in my sons hair and said he was finish. I couldn’t recognize if he got a cut or not. I rather if the barber was straight forward if it was too much to handle, never again, I wouldn’t recommend this place especially for urban kids.

Brought my 2 year old there for his second hair cut . Beautiful, clean shop geared towards kids of all ages. Marcus was my sons barber and he did an amazing job. Really glad to have a spot like this so close to our house. Highly recommend!

Recently moved to Florida & was struggling trying to find a friendly salon for my son. Decided to try this salon out & I am amazed! My son doesn’t do well with his haircuts & cries the whole way through. Sharkey’s staff is always patient & wonderful! Highly recommend👍🏻

Very organized setup for young children and extremely kind, talented staff. Dalkis did a great job cutting my sons hair. They have fun car chairs, TVs with YouTube, toys, balloons, and lollipops to keep the kiddos entertained. He came in crying and walked out with a smile. He and I are both looking forward to coming back.

We absolutely love coming here! My son and daughter both love getting their haircut with Gisela. Everyone here is very friendly. My daughter is seven and my son is three, almost four. My daughter enjoys getting her nails done where they include your choice of color and a cute little ring to go with it. My son loves sitting in the firetruck or Batman car. Gisela does such a great job with them. Her English is limited but it doesnt matter as there are always others there to help. She is so sweet with my kids, even with my son who is very shy. Thank you so much for providing quality haircuts and a clean, fun atmosphere. We will keep coming back!

I went in today to cut my 1 year old son’s hair for the first time. And I was so pleased. I read the great reviews about Marcos and I didn’t want anyone to cut his hair but him and I am so happy with my choice! My son didn’t cry once!!! I was so impressed with the way Marcos entertained my son and made him feel so comfortable. My son is very antisocial! I will definetly be back ! Thank you!!! 😍😍

Very well set up for kids cuts. Individual TV screens with choices set to your kids preferences helps distract and each of the haircutters were nice and engaged.

I called to make an appointment and spoke to a gentleman. He confirmed but when I got there they said they had no record of it and we needed to wait 45 minutes. Pretty frustrating when you have a toddler needing a haircut and you have to entertain him during the wait. We did have a pleasant experience with Marcus and he did a great job.

Its fine if you dont have experience cutting African-American textured hair(although you may want to consider hiring someone with this experience or getting trained), but it is WRONG to say that you do and give a child a horrible FIRST haircut! My husband took my 2yo son in to get a haircut before his first day of preschool and showed a picture of a very uncomplicated haircut. My son left with a military haircut with absolutely no fade on the sides, as shown in the picture. I will say, that the facility is clean, and my son enjoyed the experience of sitting in the car and watching cartoons while having his hair cut.

The people there are great. Its my first time there for my son because Ive gone to other places that have left me unsatisfied. However, the man that cut his hair sis an excellent job with everything. They were very polite and understanding. In addition, he took his time with cutting his hair. My son has a lovely haircut now. I definitely recommend this place, especially for the extra little ones.

This place rocks! I have taken my son here several times already and each time the experience has been a positive one. The staff is always super attentive. My son loves it because of all the cool cars where he can seat and play while getting his haircut. They also have tvs on each station so that he can watch his favorite show while getting his haircut, plus it make it easier for the parents plus barber to have him sit still.

The barber did a great job as we tried to keep our little one as calm as possible. He had fun at his first cut. Theres lots for the kids to watch and play with.

Amazing experience...I was so glad I found them online. Was the first time my toddler didnt cry and left happy. I would definitely go back there.

My husband took both of our kids today to get their hair cut at this this place for the first time. Our oldest son is 2 1/2 Years old and the youngest is 1 1/2 . They both behave really well when they get their hair cut. I was very upset when I saw their hair cut specially the oldest. The cut was uneven and with no shape. Tomorrow I will have to go to his usual place just to get their hair properly cut . The price is expensive, which I would not have mind if they have done a good job. I wanted to like this place because it looks kids friendly and clean. Also the place I go to is really far from my house. I guess they lost a potential customer because I will never have my kids go there again. Very disappointed!

We came here because we wanted to try something different for the boys. Huge mistake. We paid $20 per kid (two boys) only to walk out disappointed.No shape up, uneven trimming (only one of our boys moved a lot and the other stayed perfectly still). Our boys looked better before the went in.We’re not going back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

I have taken my 2 year son to get his hair cut here 3 times and I love it. He hates getting his hair cut and cries the whole time but they are so patient with him. We went there yesterday with my daughter the man that cut her hair was rude to me and he didnt even do a good job her hair in front is short on one side and longer on the other, i dont recomend it

The place is clean, the staff is friendly and very patient with the little ones. We bought the first hair cut package that comes with the cut, certificate and photo. 25 bucks.. very affordable any complaints about prices in the comments are ridiculous.

Went for the first time today with my 2 year old son. He has medium length curly hair and not everyone can cut that. Usually kids places want to use buzzers and cut it short. Marcus was super patient and introduced everything to my son before he used it. The last haircut he had somewhere else and he screamed the entire time. This time there wasn’t a tear! I will definitely be back!

No stars. I went once, and will never go back.You can see in the photos that our boys dont have a shape up, no style, etc.Save yourself the expense and go to your own barber/hair salon. This place is not worth it.

I took my kids to get a hair cut at sharkey last week they really loved it . Gisela was her barber I can tell she really enjoy working with children.she has a lot of patience. The place is beautiful the kids no only get hair cut, they had a good time playing and having fun. Definitely we are coming back, now my life is easier when my childrens has to get a hair cut .

Took my daughter for a haircut, was nervous when I got there, a woman cut her hair...very nice staff but she didnt seem experienced at all, my daughters hair is uneven and she almost shaved her eyebrow off! A little traumatized will not be returning, two weeks open shouldve been my red flag, very unhappy with this haircut.

Love the place, I bring both my kids to get their cuts with Marco all the time, so far I been there 11 times and always super happy of going there.
