I was impressed initially with how kind everyone was and how everyone was willing to help! When my vehicle was towed to this tire shop I requested to have an alignment done to my car considering I was purchasing all new tires for my vehicle! I was told I would be called by staff on an update on my car! Never happened!! I called…no problem. When I paid for the new tires i asked if the alignment was done on my car….gentleman kindly asks me “Did you ask for it when you brought your car?” I did ask at the counter when purchasing new tires I wanted my car aligned! The gentleman who took my payment over the phone placed me on hold only to come back and tell me they didn’t have time to do the alignment!! If I wanted to do an alignment on my car I would need to schedule an appointment and it could take up to a week!!! Very very very disappointed!! I should have been told at the time of buying tires that the alignment could not be done!! Yet I was told it would be done!!!

Phenomenal customer service! Havent found anywhere in or around Pecos with anything like it. The manager stayed late to help me after a blown out tire and needing to be towed. They went above and beyond to help out. Will definitely be using them for any tire needs in the future.

Super friendly customer service. Its a wait, not too bad, but its to be expected with how many customers were coming in. I feel like the did exceptionally well with getting people in and out. Its reasonably priced because I needed a patch and an oil change. My opinion is that did great and I would suggest them to others. Nice and clean place as well.

Southern Tire Mart is the place to go for your auto and trailer tire needs. They have great prices and the guys in the shop work hard to get you back on the road. I took my trailer in and they not only replaced a damaged tire they pointed out a problem with one of my other tires saving me another trip to the shop. Fast, friendly and reliable.

Definitely recommend this place as I got my brakes replaced and Tom did an excellent job! The front was kind and kept me update which made me feel less worried.

Asked for 1 ton tires to be put on a 1 ton pickup! Waited for 3 hrs for 4 tires paid 1900 bucks for them! When I finally get into my truck it saying low tire pressure so I check the tire pressure. They had put 1/2 ton tires on a 1 ton work truck. No valve stem covers tires all at different pressures. I wouldn’t recommend a tire shop that doesn’t know what ply tires go on different sizes of trucks. Overall very slow and expensive and lack of knowledge. Save some time and go to place that knows what tire go on what type of truck!

Lost a tire on my car trailer only to find I had four bad tires, called Southern Tire in Pecos Texas and worked with Travis and not only did they give me an amazing price, but the customer service was exceptional. I would definitely go there again, or recommend them to anyone. They were a pleasure to do business with. Please dont hesitate to give them a call.

Wonderful staff. Made me feel comfortable. They got my vehicle in very quickly. Plus did the repair. Then got it back to me fast also. Since we were traveling. They worked hard to get us back on the road.

I had gotten two flat tires coming home from our little vacation we were two and a half hours away from home and these guys went above and beyond to make sure we got back on the road safely. They were exceptionally kind especially when my rambunctious 2 year old wandered around touching everything. Thank you guys again for everything!!!

Extremely disappointed. I came to this tire shop because it was closest to where I was staying. We had a separation on our tire on the way home passing through here. I brought them a new tire to have them put it on my rim. They charged me $56 for that. I could have got it done at several other tire places for a fraction of the price. But I wanted to stay close to where we were. That was my mistake. The employee that came out to take my car back, Did not want to talk to us. Very unprofessional. But that’s fine. Sometimes less communication is better. But when the service was done, he did not put the spare tire back on the car. That’s customary any where are you get tire work done. As far as I have known in my 51 years. Instead, he put the dirty dry mud covered spare on top of our clothes in the backseat. Nice. Then I go inside to pay, and the little Clark behind the counter, covered in tattoos, with a serious attitude, was very unprofessional. Even confrontational. It took everything I had in me to not blow my stack and match his confrontational attitude. I was very disappointed with this place. Especially with the “tough guy” behind the counter. I wonder if he acts like that with women and elderly? I’m guessing he doesn’t. because he’s just a little man with little man syndrome. I would not recommend this place, and will never use this place again if I were to be passing by this nice little town. Pecos, New Mexico.

Every associate at Southern Tire Mart was amazing! Our vehicle had a flat tire on Aug 20, 2020. The next day we visited STM to purchase a new tire. STM did not have a replacement tire but their associates called other local shops and found a tire for us. They also picked the tire up, installed it, no charge. We so grateful for STM - Pecks for their efforts to get us back on the road!!

I only went in for an oil change and I was there an hour before it opened putting me at number 3 in line. By the time it opened at 7:30, the line was already getting long. The person behind the counter was professional and courteous. Within an hour, my truck was ready. But I did notice that the guys who were getting tires were still waiting. Im guessing it depends on what you need done.

Visiting from out of town and got a flat. Marcos and his crew were professional and fast at fixing our tire. Waited with our 3 kids, and only took about half an hour.

These guys did well. Operates somewhat like a Discount Tire in some ways but over all did a decent job. Had small car tires and trucks done here. The car tires had to be balanced again, but the truck tires were spot on. When I had them check the alignment on my truck, they didnt charge me anything since they didnt find anything wrong and I was getting other work done. Pretty cool.If Im in the area again Ill be back.

Very slow at getting your tires on ..... have the tires you want or need but just takes way too long really makes you wanna go to other tire shops(loves or pilot) because its that long of a wait for 2 vehicles

Traveling through with our 5th wheel and noticed a tire on the truck going down. Found Southern Tire Mart about 7 miles away, right off I-20. They quickly assisted us and determined that the tire needed to be replaced. Luckily they were Toyo dealers and had what we needed in stock! All employees were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

This is by far the best garage ive ever been to. Called at 7a.m. cause i had a flat. Damian got right on it for me and i was back on the road. The whole crew was really cool and personable. They came out roadside to help me and they were so good i decided to purchase another tire. Great garage, great people. Thanks guys

Horrible customer service! Were on our way to Canada and had some tire issues, Were told it would take a few hours. Waited one hour after another itching to get on our way again. Ended up taking most of the day. When we finally left, first thing we noticed was the TPS sensor didnt work. Went back, at first they tried to tell us it just needed some time, then it would work fine, when we didnt back off that easily, they admitted that they had broken the original sensor and replaced it with some aftermarket sensor that apparently did not work. Eventually they agreed to settle by refunding the value of the sensor(one positive response on their part).What should have taken no more than an hour took almost all day. The employees spent most of their time on the phone.Dreadfully expensive!!A place to avoid!

Went in to get a tire replacement for 1 tire I was there for 3 hrs I did not understand why .I went up to ask the question for the long wait the gentleman told me its the balancer its not working so the men working back there have to roll the tires across the parking lot to the building next door to balance the tires. Got over charged my bill was over 300 not happy I looked up the price of the tire it was just under the 200 price but paid way more .before I get tires there I would call and get quote and then call around to see if you can get a better price and quick service

Unfortunately my car got a nail stuck in the tire and needing to get it fixed to travel to the airport early the next morning I stopped by the shop hoping they were still open. Although they closed 30 minutes before I arrived they still helped me out!So thank you to the staff at Southern Tire Mart for being so friendly and professional!I will be going back soon!

We had to have our vehicle towed because our spare was locked in. We arrived at opening and they helped immediately. Our family vacation turned into an unplanned over night. Hit a pothole on 285 and blew the two right side tires on the van and another on the trailer we were towing late, we were out the door by 10:30am the next morning with better tires than originally promised.

This past summer my fiancé and I were traveling from California to our home in Florida. The service and hospitality we received was incredible! On our way from Carlsbad, NM to San Antonio we had a blow out just outside Pecos, Texas. We were traveling down Interstate 285 in a Honda Accord! Those of you familiar with this road are probably doubled over in laughter! I knew we were in trouble when I saw that we were the only car on the road and everyone else was in a truck! This road has pot holes the size of Rhode Island! I put on my spare tire and limped into Southern Tire! We were greeted immediately and went to work finding a new tire! Unfortunately they did not have our tire in stock! We were anxious to get on the road and without a second thought they gave us their competitors phone numbers to get us on the road ASAP. They even gave us phone numbers for used tire stores. None of these stores had our size tire. One of the sales people then said to hold on and checked another Southern Tire in Odesssa which is about an hour away! The manager from the Pecos Southern Tire was in Odessa picking up some tires. The manager found out that the Odessa Southern Tire had 2 tires that were the right size! Only one problem, they couldn’t find them! The guy in the warehouse searched for about a half hour and was about to give up when he told the manager let me check one more place! Low and behold he found the tires. The manager then with foresight loaded up both tires and headed back to Pecos (it turned out we needed 2 tires) Meanwhile my fiancé and I were waiting in the customer lounge! A mechanic came by and said” I see that you’ve been here awhile if you want there are chicken wings and pizza over there! Help yourselves!” Southern Tire hospitality at it’s best! The store hours said that they closed at 5:00 and it looked like we were going to have to spend the night in Pecos, I went to the counter to ask about closing time and he told me don’t worry we will put the tire on your car and send you on the way! The manager arrived with the tires at 5:15 and we got back on the road 45 minutes later! The manager personally came over and said to us “Sorry about the wait!” I was floored! The manager was a savior! Not only did he go above and beyond the call of duty he was genuinely concerned about our safety and getting us back on the road ASAP! I wish I could remember all the names of the manager and his staff but unfortunately I’m having sometimers! To all the staff at Southern Tire in Pecos, you have my undying appreciation and gratitude! Corporate, if you are reading this I hope that you understand that the staff at Pecos, Texas arethe best I have come across in my 60 years on this planet! The staff was professional and caring! They all deserve a pay raise and should be a testament on how a business should be run!

Had a blow out last week. Got to shop with tire shortly before they closed, they got the new tire on the rim. Theyre definitely more expensive than most places but I appreciated that they fixed it quickly. Went in today to get the other 3 tires, they were busy so it took a while, whatever, no big deal. Paid for overpriced tires, got down the road a little way and my low tire pressure alert popped up. Went back and they said it was typical with my model truck and it should go off a little ways down the road. It never went off. So when I got home about 30 miles down the road I checked the pressure myself and one tire was in fact 30 psi lower than the other 3. I paid a lot of money, I expected a little better service, they could have at least checked it. But whatever, laziness catches up to you.

Travis and Damien were awesome in helping me with a punctured tire I had on my work truck. ARI who handles maintenance on my truck was being a pain in the a** but Pecos Tire ensured I was taken care of no matter what. I would definitely recommend Pecos Tire to anyone including my friends and family because Travis the store manager puts customers first and even said were not in the tire business were in the customer service business. Thanks again for making my life easier guys and not leaving me with a punctured tire for work

I never had any intention of stoping in Pecos, but my brakes went out half way through my trip on a Sunday. I took my car in to these guys early Monday and therly were able to order the parts I needed and got me on the road by Tuesday afternoon. Thats alot better then me loosing my whole week because they needed to order the part to the middle of nowhere Pecos. They also were really good about helping me get everything sorted out with my home mechanic and all the other parties trying to help me. After their fix to my car it has had 0 issues. If you find your self with out breaks in the middle of the desert near Pecos choose there guys to help you out.

I had a blowout on the highway and couldnt get towed there until just after they closed. However, they stayed late for me, changed the tire quickly, charged me a normal price, and saved this holiday weekend of hiking the Guadalupe Mts from being spent at a hotel in Pecos instead. Excellent service!

I went their to have my tire pressure checked and was beyond dissatisfaction to my wildest beliefs. I knew my tire pressure was low, I put 45 psi in my tires and they said my tires were good to go. When I got to Odessa I went to discount tires which Pecos Texas sadly does not have and my tires were at 35 psi which means they were not good to go and they were 10 psi low which means anything couldve have happened and in a situation like that when they cant handle something as simple as psi in tires I would not trust them with anything else. Also after calling in I had to wait an hour and a half pretty close to two hours because the workers were not I formed I called the office forgot I called I called and then they were staring laughing to top it off playing it as a joke that I was pulling up. Worst place ever on the planet to have your truck, car or SUV looked at and worked on due to extreme lack of professionalism at its finest. I wish I could honestly rate this place a half a star or a 1/4 of a star because I dont believe they are even worth a half a star and they are way far from a full star in rating.

Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had. Was charged 300 dollars for mounting and balancing, but left with the same tires I had on the truck. Their mechanics were all stoned and had no knowledge of tires whatsoever. Also never been to a tire shop that stocked windshield wipers but not a single lugnut. Was also there for 5 hrs with no result.

We were on a trip, when we had a flat driving through Pecos. After my husband put Fix-a-Flat in the tire, we drove to Pecos Tire. We arrived there just before closing time, but they still accommodated us. Did a great job and very nice.

First off would like to thank Danny and Cris Diaz for the great service. They stayed an hour or if not more past their clock out time to be able to get what i needed done. Could of been done earlier but that wasnt their fault Fleet company took forever to approve the oil change. Didnt get approve til 5:30pm. By the fleet company Danny and Cris Diaz stayed and Cris was able to do the oil change and change filters on the truck. Overall satisfied Great service. Had a blow out and a young man named Damiana helped me out! He took my phone call and ordered me a tire right away! While struggling to document quotes in the eating lobby for a hotel reservation, Damiana noticed and took it upon himself to retrieve me a pen. He bolted across I-20 without looking both ways to the nearest store to acquire a pen, and cane back to help me document the quotes being given to me. A true act of chivalry.The nicest man I’ve spoken to in a while! I believe he deserves a raise!

Good service up front but mechanics take to long to perform an oil change and two tires, I’ve worked in dealerships where we had three times as many customers and for all four tires to be changed balanced and a multipoint inspection the customer would be waiting for an hour at most, I was there for three hours and all I needed was two front tires and an oil change

The place is really busy and hectic, especially with oilfield customers. Their internet connection was down on the morning that I went. The employees are friendly and respectful. With all of that, it only took about an hour and a half to get 4 tires installed. This is Pecos, Tx. I was very happy with them.

Good customer service, quick, efficient. However the process are double that in other locations, I bought one tire for a small four door family sedan and payed $105.00 that only cost me $40-50.00 at Walmart or another tire place outside the Pecos, TX area. They jack up the price because of the oil rigs, sticking it to the locals and the oil rig workers. Pathetically shameful...

I bought my tires from Pecos tire with a road hazard warranty, well now they are southern tire mart and they where not going to fix something Pecos tire sold me. I talked to the manager and all in all he is a great guy, they are going to help me out with this problem. Thank you for providing a service that has been forgotten.

Went in for oil change and alignment. Turned out it was a bad tie rod and told me they didnt have the part in stock and could not fix it. 3 weeks would of been the next window to get it fixed there. Absolutely ridiculous they did not even attempt to find the part and fix it. So next I had a 1hr and a 1/2 oil change....thats ALL. No topping of fluids just oil change. Another disappointment in PECOS but thats nothing new.

Worst service ever. 3 out of 20 guys in the shop actually work hard while the rest goof off and play on their phones . I had purchased some parts for my car to be fixed and the employees act like they know everything talking bout 30 years of experience and was ever wrong but still the noise of my suspension never went away. So therefore I would like to know in those 30 yrs of experience was that person ever wrong? I dont think so .
