Ive used Clarkstown in the past and was very impressed. They are honest and very upfront. I even recommended them to a family member who used them to install a new AC system. But in June my AC system had issues. Clarkstown came to service the unit advised a new unit might be the best choice. The unit was 22 years old and just made sense to replace. Mike, their salesperson, showed up later that day to discuss my options. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. He advised me replacing my furnace, which was 22 yrs old as well, would save me around $1500 to do both units together. He made sure I had all the info i needed to make my decision which I did later that day. I would change both systems at once. The only negative was it would be a month and a half wait. Few weeks later, Clarkston showed to measure for the new equipment which took no time at all.So install date came on 8/3 which they improved by a week. The installers showed up promptly at 8am as promised. All the techs were very friendly and fully informed me of their plans for the day. They went straight to work. I checked in with them several times through the install and they would update me with their progress. As 3 pm rolled around, they were just finishing up the install. I was informed how they were going to test the system to make sure it was in full working over. They explained each system to me in detail and made sure I was fully satisfied with their work. They cleaned up the area and fully swept and vacuumed where they worked. Final paperwork was sign and their job was complete.My AC works wonderfully over my older system. My house has never felt more comfortable. Im sure my heat will as well in a few months. A great job down by Clarkstown. You can count on them for great service and reliability!

I had 3 mini splits installed, all went well until the next day when none of them had working AC and condensation was building up on the units, and dripping onto the floor. The outdoor unit had froze up because not enough refrigerant was added during installation. I called and they were able to send someone out the same day, and solve the issues.

Sal, one of their techs serviced my heating system a couple of months ago. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. He adjusted my baseboard heating system (the temperature of the circulating water was not set correctly). We experienced such noticeable comfort after the adjustment. We talked to a handful of companies before we decided to get a new HVAC through Clarkstown. They were the easiest to work with (it took a few days to just get a quote from the other companies, but CHA gave us a quote right away with clear explanations and the price was reasonable). We did have a couple problems and miscommunication with them after the installation, but they were fixed in a timely manner. We can see that they value their customers and try their best to maintain good service. We are still happy that we chose them.

Rich at Clarkstowm HAC called me after a diagnostic appointment by Jarell. Parts had to be ordered. The parts arrived as Rich predicted and the repair was completed 3 business days after it was diagnosed. Jarell was professional as he diagnosed the problem and corrected it with the new parts. He was a pleasure to work with. I am especially thankful as the outside temp is now 97F and my AC is working as intended. My impression is that these folks are very busy nonetheless they took the time to explain the problem and the solution as well as calling me to do so.

Two weeks out to schedule an appointment. I understand a day or two, but 2 while weeks is ridiculous. No thanks.

Used Clarkstown Heating & Air Conditioning for a furnace replacement after another company refused to even look at the furnace without stating it needs to be replaced. While we did end up replacing it, the team at Clarkstown was professional all the way, available for all my questions through the process, and did an incredible job actually installing the new furnace. On top of that their quote for replacement came in below the other firm who wouldnt even troubleshoot the old furnace. I would not hesitate to work with them again.

Hired Clarkstown Heating and AC to install air conditioning in our house when we previously only had window units. From the quoting process through installation, everything was great. Mike takes a lot of care and attention during the quote visit to understand our needs and explain the options. He walked me through the calculation for sizing the units and was very helpful. The installation went very smoothly and they were very clean throughout, sweeping after themselves at the end of every day. I definitely would recommend them!

They just replaced our 20 y/o Central A/C. From start to finish everything when smoothly The estimator came promptly when scheduled and explained very clearly what our options were. Once we decided, A visit was scheduled for a supervisor to inspect the attic and yard to make sure there would be no issues for the installers to deal with. He was very acomodating and we were able to and access issue to the compressor location (my wifes flower beds). We were taking a short vacation and deferred scheduling theinstallation for a week or so until we returned. When we did and called for an appointment it was scheduled promptly. The two installers arrived on time. They were great!. The work proceeded quickly, efficiently and neatly. They started at 8 and were done before 5. All in all it was an outstanding experience well worth the price. I would recommend them without any reservation

Got numerous estimates from local companies, Clarkstown was by far the best from the initial salesman Michael Levin to John the install manager and Clayton Taylor the installer they were great. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work all at the best price by far and the best equipment, American made I may add. I dont usually leave these reviews and no one pushed me to write nor was I offered anything for it but please if you live in the Rockland area and need to replace your a/c dont even have to waste your time getting other estimates. Clarkstown is by far the best.

I am very happy with the work that was done removing and replacing my AC system. He went above and beyond in making the attic a workable space. They also cleaned up after themselves and made sure debris and dirt were swept up after the work.

There quote was the lowest and Michael guided us through choosing the right configuration and placement of the condensing units to save us the most money.Clayton and Danny did the entire installation with impeccable perfection. I was concerned about how the refrigerant lines be installed. With Clayton experience, he was able to suggest the best route of installing the refrigerant lines instead of going around the back of the house which makes it an unpleasant sight. That is one of the best decision that was made on this job. He cut through the walls in the basement and thread the lines with ease. I was expecting a mess and more dust but I was pleasantly surprised that it remained rather clean.We had a furnace,1 air handlers and 2 condensing units installed. I have to say that Clayton and Danny took great care in working in my home. They were careful in every way possible so as not to damage any in the house and making sure no mess is left behind cleaning up the mess everyday. He takes his time with his customers to explain the pro/cons of each option down to the long term costs of ownership. I certainly offered for them to delay the installation due to the weather but they said they stick to their word and finished the job on time. Clayton and Tom H. just left my parents home after installing a completely new a/c unit (in and out). They showed up early and assessed the job and went right to work after they placed drop cloths thru the entrance and hallways. They were courteous, fast, and extremely knowledgeable. They removed the old unit and began prep for the new one. Clay examined the new compressor and saw it was damaged on delivery. He called the shop and stated this one will not do, send out a new unit. It was delivered in no time. When they looked at the old drainage pipes they noticed they were not pitched incorrectly and that there was water backing up into the attic. It was in an area my parents would have never known until it was to late. They said this in unacceptable and installed a new drainage system. They cleaned up completely and left their home just as they found it. Honest and courteous service is mostly lost these days. Not with these two men or the company they represent. My parents are now permanent customers.They will be recommended to family and friends without hesitation. Thank you.

The service at Clarkstown Heating and Air was superb. I purchased and had a 4 ton A/C unit installed. Everything was priced right and delivered and installed to perfection. Also, their in house service department was professionally serviced and staffed by Richard Marini. I highly recommend them.

Horrible company. My parents called them for service on their ac unit because it wasnt working. Left and unit wasnt working, then billed them almost a thousand dollars for refrigerant they never put in. Had to be fixed by someone else who found a simple rusty component that was repaired in 10 mins. After confronting owner he told my father they would have probably fixed that part after another visit to house. They will rip you off if you dont watch them the whole time. Would not recommend them to anyone.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! What we thought was going to be a long lasting relationship with Clarkstown Heating and A/C turned sour with the classic bait and switch scheme. First the salesman comes in and analyzes our system, submits a proposal and contract, which we agreed to, submitting the exact amount of the deposit that they requested. They then send in their project manager two days later who indicates the salesman under bid the job and he would need to review it with the salesman and either he or the salesman would get back to us on the same day. WE NEVER HEAR FROM EITHER OF THEM! Keep in mind they deposited our deposit. After two days we contacted them having to leave a message on the project managers voice mail. The following day we received a phone call from someone who identifies himself as the owner of the company, who then indicates that if we wanted to proceed with the job as bid by their salesman it would cost us an additional $3,250.00. We in formed him of our feelings, concerns, etc. and that he should honor the contract as originally written, just as he would expect us to pay him as we agreed to, regardless of what the amount. He indicated that if we accept his new proposal and revised cost we would not be disappointed and it would be a perfect job. After he indicated he would not budge on his additional cost we indicated that we would need to take this up with our attorney. He then indicated that we were threatening him. Of which we explained this was not a threat and only our right to seek out an attorney for their help. He further went on to explain that his contracts are not approved until his project manager reviews the job after his salesman bids the job. I ask him if this statement was in the contract? He indicated it was! I informed him that I did not see such a clause, however, I would review it again. I REVIEWED IT AGAIN....THERE IS NO MENTION OF HIS PROJECT MANAGER NEEDING TO APPROVE THE JOB AFTER THE SALESMAN BIDS THE JOB BEFORE IT BECOMES A BINDING AGREEMENT! We received four (4) other bids on our specific job and they were all within $500.00 with Clarkstown not being the lowest. If their bid was figured incorrectly, they should have absorbed that cost and taken the loss. Any reputable company would have done that! Having been in business myself, there are times when things like this can happen, and, you absorb the loss. But, this is not what happened supported by, first they send in the salesman, take your deposit, deposit your deposit.....Once your deposit clears, they send in their project manager with the bad news. After discussing this with our attorney we decided that this review on social media sites, contacting AMEX to get our deposit back by creating a dispute was the best way to proceed. We are now with a company that we feel confident will do a professional job for us. Word of mouth is the best advertising. We hope that this review helps other consumers for there are many companies out there. REMEMBER: True positive character is wonderful when everyone is happy. But, when there is a problem, the true negative character comes out and shows what these people (Clarkstown heating and A/C) are! PAC

Clayton and his assistant were friendly and efficient. Clayton explained what they were doing, answered whatever questions asked and how we wanted the outside gutter lead to the attic situated. They tried to rip me off Austin installed a old capacitor in the wrong place and burned out my unit I have pics to prove it and he didn’t write it in report nor did he tell me what he was doing all this to try and sell me a unit for $6,999 and I ended up paying $120 to get my unit working nothing was wrong with my unit he had no reason to put that in there but it’s cool I will never trust them again.

The installers were punctual and worked to get a new furnace and A/C unit installed in under 8 hours!! left the work area immaculate, very pleased. and we are saving $$$ with the Wi Fi thermostat.

Had my new HVAC system installed by Clay and Dan, outstanding job by them, both professional and courteous. Job wasnt easy for them as my furnace was up in the attic, going back and forth 2 flights of stairs, but they managed it very well and cleaned up after themselves. This is my 2nd unit being installed by Clarkstown Heating & AC (dual zone house). Im very satisfied and I highly recommend them!

My home has not had central air-conditioning prior. Their overview of the product and duct options and what would satisfy my homes needs was excellent.The time frame for installation was relatively quick and they kept to it as stated. Clayton, Tom and the team that worked at my home for two days were very courteous and methodical with their tasks. They kept all of my belongings and walls protected and cleaned up after themselves. I was pleasantly surprised by that level of detail to neatness and appreciated it very much. Clayton took the time to explain everything once completed, including the simple programming of the keypad. My expectations were exceeded regarding the quality of work and staff. Everyone at Clarkstown Heating and Air Conditioning that I had to pleasure of meeting was Professional and Knowledgeable. T.J the owner and John the installation manager reviewed my existing 40 year old Hydrotherm boiler on two separate visits and recommended a Peerless Boiler to meet my heating needs for the future. Phil and Randy came and covered my floor to protect my carpet and tile. They removed the old boiler and miscellaneous parts from my property and cleaned up the room before they left. The boiler fits great, looks terrific and heats the house just fine!Thank you for making me my and family comfortable for many winters to come!

Had my A/C checked because it was only giving heat they replaced a condenser samething replaced hoses same told us we needed a new A/C system had someone else look at it and they put the condenser backwards and Plus the workers stay in the truck for hours without working and charging us for his time stay away from these crooks
